Chapter 5

The warrior kept moving until he stopped in front of a room. “The alpha has assigned this room to you; he said you should take your bath and meet him in his office”. He turned immediately to live but she stopped him.

“And where is his office”

“Down the corridor, the last door to your right”. He pointed “And he said you should make use of everything you find there, its yours. He turned and left.

Rowen entered the room and the luxury amazed her, she really was expecting the worse. She sat down on the fluffy bed and finally broke down; she cried to her heart content and fell into an exhausted sleep.

She came to when she had a loud bang on the door, she jumped and ran to the door, she panicked because the alpha told her to see him, she took a deep breath and opened the door, but she found a petite but very beautiful girl standing with a bag on her hand.

“Good evening”. She said holding out the bag to her, “the alpha sent these cloths to you and said he was displeased on your outright disobedience of his orders, he wants you…”

“Like I give a damn if he is pleased or not”. To her surprise the girl smiled and continued.

“He wants you to join for dinner and the truth is that we are already late, I have been knocking on your door for long and by the way my name is Mara, I have been assigned to see to your comfortability, please dress up fast it is mandatory we all gather at the dinning room before he arrives”.

“Hi Mara, my name is Rowen, sorry for the inconveniences but I can see to myself, just go to dinning before I put you in more trouble, just keep the clothes on the couch and you can live”

“Do you really think the alpha cares if it was my fault or not, I will even be the one punished, don’t worry just run to the bathroom have your bath and I will help you dress”.

“Ok thanks”. Rowen ran into the bathroom and stopped to look around, pure luxury she thought but had no time to look around. She was done in five minutes she ran out and noticed that Mara was still waiting patiently for her. Mara hurriedly helps her put on the cloth, she had to put on the sandals she came with because the cloth come without a footwear.

They both practically ran into the dinning and luckily the alpha has not yet arrived, there where different long tables and you cannot mistake the table meant for those in top food chain, the beta and his mate were seated together holding hands, their love was already obvious, there was only one seat available on that table and you need no one to explain it was meant for the alpha.

“Your seat is on that table”. Mara pointed to a table on the right of the alphas table.

She looked at the table and saw that it was for the lowest of the low, shrugged and went to seat down there, she really doesn’t care, she just wanted to eat and go back to her room, if he really thinks that this simple act will put a dent to her ego, he should think again. What she hated was the pity she saw on the eyes of everyone seating on the same table with her.

“Hello, my name is Rowen, its nice to share dinner with everyone hear”. They all introduced themselves too and when she looked around, she noticed that she was the center of attraction, even from other table, the beta was also staring at her with amusement. A little girl approached her from a nearby table and stretched her tiny legs to touch Rowen’s hair. “You are beautiful” the little girl said, everyone was looking at her, to see how she will react. She picked her up and the little girl squealed and laughed out loud.

“You are also beautiful little one” she gave her a little peck on her nose and se her down, the little girl ran to her mother and her mother nodded to Rowen in greeting.

The atmosphere changed instantly and the power that came inside almost threw her out of the chair. “Jeez what is wrong with the guy and making people uncomfortable” she said in a low voice, she turned to his direction and glowered at him.

Those close to her heard it and smiled, someone even said “you will get use to it”.

Everyone stood up until the alpha took his sit, Rowen was still looking at him because she noticed that he looked directly at her as if to confirm if she was really there.

“We thank our moon for the food, now we eat”. Everyone sat down and started eating and talking to their partners, Rowen kept noticing the stare from the alpha, but she doesn’t really care, he did this to them, he forged this strain in her heart she always feels whenever she looked or think about him.

“Tomorrow evening, the challenge starts, many females have already started pouring in many request” he looked directly at Rowen and boomed “be prepared, you will face the first challenger tomorrow evening”. He stood up “I want to see you in my office immediately you are done with your meal”. He left the table as if someone annoyed him. Not that I care, Rowen thought, she dreaded been in one room with him, what does he want now? haven’t he done enough?”. She thought with dread.
