Meanwhile Rowen was taking a snack in the kitchen and relaxing and was about going for the next round of snack when Ciara and Mara who finally appeared rushed in immediately, they were kind of looking weary.

“What”. She asked the two of them, but as Ciara made a move to answer Mara took over.

“What?”. She looked at them with suspicion, she was tired of the constant drama and was happy to eat her snacks alone.

“Can you go to your room and at least take a rest for the day”.

“A rest?” she looked at the both of them suspiciously, “why do I need a rest all of a sudden?”.

“Nothing really”. Mara answered again before Ciara could speak, “just rest, you know the alpha will want you to rest and recover totally”.

“Well, I will love to tell her the truth though”. Ciara chipped in, she sat close to Rowen and held her hand.

“Thank you, Ciara, please the truth is what I need”. She was becoming tensed.

“Well, Amira is here”. Ciara rolled her when Rowen kept looking at her with a confused face. “The first love of alpha Cean and she has been going around looking for you and Jeez, don’t tell me you don’t know her, she self-proclaimed herself the lunar and left the pack angrily when the elders made the alpha start the ancient tradition of choosing a bride”.

“Seriously Ciara, while will I be bothered about the females he has been with Ciara, I really don’t care”.

“You suppose to care Rowen”. Mara retorted and continued “The alpha is blind to her fault and she knows that, just try and avoid her that’s all”.

Rowen finally understand what Mara was trying to say, she was tired and really don’t want the drama, she stood up, picked a few snacks and was about to live the kitchen when a voice stopped her.

“Well, well, well, is it not the alpha mate?”. The lady walked in, sat down and crossed her legs, she sized Rowen from head to toe. “You really are an odd one, I would have liked you if you are not here to take my man”.

Rowen did not bother talking or answering her, she just turned to live but the next words stopped her again.

“Every lethal is so afraid of you or likes you and no one wants to challenge you again, so you are left with me, so I challenge you to a blood red fight this night for the position of the lunar”.

Ciara and Mara gasped, and again Rowen did not bother answering the stupid girl, why bother she thought, the girl was obviously desperate to be the lunar, not even the mate of the alpha just the rank the position brings. Fortunately for her Mara answered her.

“The alpha gave orders for her to rest and suspended further challenge until he his back”.

“Oh, shush Mara, when your betters are talking do well not to interrupt”.

That comment made Rowen turn and looked at the lady but still did not answer her, she was fast losing her patient and needed to live, but Ciara already lost her cool.

“Who are her betters? You? She is far better than you, at least she doesn’t go around poking where she did not belong”.

“If that was meant to annoy me Ciara, it did not work, I did not poke were am not needed, he was mine before she came into the picture and you Ciara will know were you belong when I become lunar”.

“Keep being delusional Amira, Rowen is his mate and will continue to be his mate”.

“Does she not have a mouth of her own? why are you all defending her? is she mute or does she have a mouth odor?”.

“You want a blood red fight, right?”. Rowen finally spoke. “Fine, I will give you one, I accept your challenge”.

“NO”. both Ciara and Mara shouted together, but Rowen already left the kitchen, the two ladies followed her to her room and was trying to dissuade her from fighting.

“You are disobeying the direct order of the alpha, why? Because she pricked your ego? You have not seen the alpha really angry, have you?”. Mara shouted at Rowen angrily, “and you are not yet fully healed, so please ignore her”.

“I should ignore her, really?”. Rowen shouted right back at her. “I don’t blame her honestly”. She was already tired and fed up with everything. “He was supposed to be my defender, my strength but what did he do? He sent them after me, gave them the right to insult and come after me, kept my family away from me and you think I blame Amira? No, I don’t blame her, my mate did this to me, no one but my mate”.

The two ladies just looked at her with pity because they know she says the truth.

She left them, laid down on her bed and cried her eyes out. When she was done, she took her bath and put on her fighting gear and started waiting, her wolf was angry and made herself a promise.

“I will so deal with Amira, I will teach her lesson, that she will never forget in two life time, then I will serve her head on a platter to her lover who supposed to be my mate”. She promised herself.

Meanwhile Cean’s anger has dissipated, he went inside, and knelt in front of Larima, something he had not done for any human being.

“Lima, I know we have a lot to talk about, I accept I blew everything out of proportion, but I need your help now”.

“What is it baby”. Her motherly love forgot everything, and she looked at him with pure love. “Is the pack in danger, since left us, we stopped seeing, we stopped thriving”.

“There is so much going on in the pack, and I have a request to make, please come to my place, we have a lot to talk about, and also give me a chance to renovate this territory”.

“Ok, I will go with you, your safety is paramount to me and I hope you will give me the chance to explain myself”.

“Ok, we have a deal”.

He stood up and was about calling Timron, but Timron rushed in and relayed a message that got him vibrating with anger.

“Timron make all necessary arrangement and come back immediately”. That was the only thing he said and burst into his wolf and started running to his territory with full speed, his wolf was actually needed.
