This is the jungle

The van careened down the road, as dust billowed in its wake. They had been driving for about three days now, after passing various cities and towns, finally, they've arrived on the legendary ramazon forest.

The landscape outside their windows was a blur of green and brown as they sped towards their destination.

As they got close to the forest, the road in which they rode grew bumpier and the van kind of shook violently, due to the porthole in the field.

Finally, Jonas hit the brakes and the van came to a stop, it was as if he loss control at first, as he was speeding beyond the speedo limit.

The world outside was suddenly still and quiet, a stark contrast to the whirlwind of dust and motion they had just experienced. They couldn't help but to exhilarate on the so called "ramazon forest."

The Ramazon forest was actually a sight to behold, as it did carry a lot of historical facts. Beholding this magnificent forest, was like a life best experience to some. Well, except from the part that you weren't going to survive the reality inside.

They all stepped out of the van, as they were greeted by the sight of the lush forest, its towering trees and dense foliage casting a dappled light on the ground below them, it was indeed magnificent.

'So, this is the famous Ramazon forest that leads to what might change the destiny of the whole world, right?' Jerry asked in his thought, admiring the beauty of the nature.

'holly crab! Something like this should be highly esteem, I think it should have been guarded by the government or something. Well, still no point, because no one would want to experience the formidable hour during the night. That must be really terrible to experience actually.' he grin as he turned around gazing at the huge forest.

The air over the area was thick with the scent of damp earth and wildflowers, and the sound of birdsong filled the air, it was like a whole new world.

If the outter could be this magnificent; just imagine how the inside might be.

They all stood in silence, taking in the sights and sounds of the jungle. Birds around chirped in the treetops, and insects buzzed in the undergrowth.

A light breeze rustled the leaves, creating a soft, soothing sound. It was as if the forest itself was welcoming them or something. Jonas's voice finally broke the silence, bringing them all back to the moment.

"Welcome, to the Ramazon forest," he said, his voice full of awe, as he chuckled to enlighten the mood.

"Wow! It's incredible," Lily whispered, her eyes wide with wonder as she turns around beholding the Beauty of the legendary forest.

They all began looking around, taking in the enormity of their surroundings. It was like stepping into another world, a world of lush greenery and endless possibilities.

"So this is the path leading to where the wishing crystal is hidden?" Mike asked, his eyes searching the trees, not believing how and where they would start from, because, analyzing the circumference alone can throw you off track.

"That's what the legend says boy," Jonas replied, his tone sounding tough now as he rolled up the map in his hands, glancing at it to confirm their destination..

"But…umm.. before we set off into the jungle, I think we should set some tracking devices on our lines," Jonas said, his brow furrowed in concentration as he pull of some racks from his own backpack and dropping the map on the floor.

"That way, we'll be able to find our way back if we get lost, or if the map gets damaged. It's always best to be prepared, you know."

The rest of the them nodded in agreement, knowing that he was actually right. Honestly, they had literally come too far to risk getting lost or stranded in the jungle.

They needed to take every precaution to ensure their safety, at least, that would be something.

Jonas picked out some tracking device from his rack, they were small, but highly competence.

They could be activated with the push of a button, that was indicated in red colour, and would create a homing signal that could be followed by another device.

Seeing that alone, made them felt reassured knowing that they had this safety net, and they were ready to venture deeper into the jungle.

Step by step, they carefully placed the tracking devices at a strategic points around the perimeter of the clearing, as Jonas directed.

The devices were small and inconspicuous, their black plastic where blending in with the shadows of the jungle.

After the settings, they began to move deeper into the forest, the sounds of the jungle grew louder, as birds sang in the treetops, their melodic voices where echoing through the trees.

Their senses were on high alert, after all, this was the same eminent forest where intelligent scientist had died because of the same mission.

So, they had to be extra careful, their eyes where just scanning the shadows for any sign of danger.

However, the only danger they seems to see was the beauty of the forest itself, it lush greenery and vibrant colors hypnotic and enchanting.

The question now was, how could a magnificent forest like this be that terrible?

They were in awe of the natural beauty around them as they listen to Jonas telling them about possible animals that they could encounter on their way.

The trees seemed to tower above them, plus, the thick canopy blocking out the sun rays from heating them, was just so amazing.

As they continued their journey, they kept a wary eye out for any sign of the animals that Jonas had mentioned earlier like: crocodiles, tiger's or jaguars.

'But what a hell, crocs can't be around here, right? I mean it's just the entrance and our first threat should be crocs? That should be a fantasy' Mike thought as he glared around his surrounding.

"And also it's possible crocodiles could be lurking around, I once encountered one, one of the days when I was still a hunter" Jonas elaborated as he strode with them, as if he knew what mike was currently thinking.

"What!" Mike yelled out, his face revealing the full state of apprehension. He got more agitated at Jonas statement.

He was just about believing that his assumption was correct, before Jonas just made it more sophisticated.

"What?" Jonas asked as he stopped in his track– actually they all did. They turned to see why mike had yelled.

"Umm…. nothing!" Mike said, as he wore a pale poseur face, trying to look optimum.

"Is just that, i...I….I just remembered something funny. He lied, as he glared at them, giving a crooked chuckled.

He knew if he had told them the reason why he had actually screamed, they would have surely laugh at him and considered it ridiculed.

"Ugh!" Jonas grown, staring at him in discontentment, he clearly knew that he lied. However, he didn't really care to know why.

To him–whatever the reason may be, it was clearly going to be absurd.

"You know what, let get going." Jonas said, as he turned away from mike, the rest did the same and Mike followed behind.

Admist all that, they knew that their best defense was to be alert and prepared for anything.

Still, they couldn't help but admire the incredible beauty of the jungle.

As Lily walked along the path with them, she felt something brush against her legs from the path bushes that she was passing along with them. The first thought that appeared in her imaginations was 'Snake?'
