The Boar

GRAVITY TRAP, he activated. If he had tried this with the boar at full strength he was sure it would have still been able to move due to its large size and strength but Lu Feng had been stabbing the back of its neck for a while and it had lost some blood now.

The boar's legs shook as it tried to remain standing. This gravity trap was very taxing, Lu Feng lamented and how draining this trap was for bigger creatures.

If other people had heard Lu Feng complain about being able to use soul force that could restrain this boar they might have chosen to die at that moment for Lu Feng was truly a monster to use soul force without having manifested a soul lake yet. Especially a formation that was supposed to be used by eight people.

He took one of his blooded blades, using the maximum speed of his telekinesis and pierced it between the eyes of the boar, using all the strength left in his body he ran to the boar and began to twist the blade.

The boar shrieked and swung its head to hit Lu Feng with its take but he quickly retreated. The boar stopped moving soon after Lu Feng made a paste from some of its brain matter.

Lu Feng sat down profusely sweating after the battle. How had the boar known where he was? He was sure to have repressed his aura! He retrieved his blade from between the boar's eyes, and put the boar into his space ring.

Lu Feng made his way back to his cave. Now I'm in his cave looking at it he realised that the boar has very good eyesight and must have taken him as a threat as it accidentally saw him but felt no aura from him. Its beast instinct must have told it that he was not as harmless as he looked.

The next evening Lu Feng once again made his way to the village centre. All who heard would keep an eye out for such a veil to either curry favour with him or make sure to never offend such a promising future.

Lu Feng even chuckled to himself, he was sure by now it had reached the Lu Feng residence. Some of the servants gossiped about how they would hope to be noticed by such a foreign young hero.

Lu Feng delivered the boar to the mountain peak restaurant in the morning. Surprisingly the restaurant owner was already there speaking to the land owner. Lu Feng was quick to offer him the 17 gold he had to change the ownership of land to the name of the Silver Phoenix. 17 gold meant he had tons more land if he wanted so he readily agreed.

Lu Feng went to the government centre accompanied by the land owner and there they changed the ownership to Lu Feng. Lu Feng then went back and told the restaurant owner that now he only had to pay the tax for the land and not the full rent he had been paying before and the restaurant owner fell to his knees thanking Lu Feng for his generosity.

This was a win-win situation for Lu Feng, now he owned the land he wouldn't need to apply for permissions for any renovations to the restaurant and since the contract he had signed with the restaurant owner says renovations would be funded from the restaurant earning, they would retain more money for investments, so Lu Feng wouldn't be losing out any money here, and his income from the spirit beast meat would still be there.

As it was almost noon, Lu Feng made sure to instruct them to publicize the boar meat well. they would make sure to clean those families of their riches now!

Lu Feng went back to the land registry to see if there were properties he could rent for a while. He chose a cheap one with two rooms and paid in advance for two months. This was most of his money gone now but he would get his money back and more tomorrow when some of the boar meat had been sold. The boar had earth affinity spiritual energy so he was certain a few warriors would come for it to fortify their body.

As a last thing for the day, he sent a message to the mountain peak restaurant telling the head chef to send his sons to the address Lu Feng had rented. he was doing so much all the time he needed a little rest during the day, and after all, he wouldn't be able to advance some of his plans until he received more money.

When Lu Feng got to the house, he unlocked it with the key he had been given and entered, there was two medium bedrooms, a small kitchen, a bathroom and the foyer. That was it, small and simple and all he needed.

Two more hours passed with Lu Feng lounging and taking the much needed break when the Cai brothers arrived.

"Brothers Cai Ran, Cai Zhen, welcome, the flame of the Silver Phoenix welcomes you," Lu Feng said.

They both greeted him back and were led inside.

"My master has asked you two to protect me while I carry out his orders for a little while, will you comply?" He said he he put his feet up.

"Of course we will," said Cai Ran, the older one of the two twins that teaches the blades, while Cai Zhen teaches martial arts.

"I have something to ask actually," Cai Zhen added.

"Sure, you may ask me," Lu Feng responded.

"Is it true that your master purchased fifty mu of land in the whole mountain front?" He enquired.

"Yes" Lu Feng responded.

"Why?" He asked again.

"My masters wisdom is beyond mortal understanding, better we to follow his orders without question." Lu Feng said stroking his own ego and business genius.

"In fact, I am not supposed to tell you this but this is the key to passing the trails, she'd away your mortal fears and submit to my masters will, only when you follow him into death will he bless you and burn away your old shell." Lu Feng said.

"Little young sir, you speak in riddles," Cai Ran said.

"I have already said too much, but remember these words well! They are the key to being one of us" Lu Feng said.

In all honesty, Lu Feng really couldn't afford them to fail the trails he had. He was already stretching himself too thin and did now need subordinates instead of doing everything by himself. The Cai brothers took his words seriously and went over his riddle many times in their head.

"Young sir, now many people have found out it is us who are going to take the trials, we've faced some trouble, many people come to our training centre looking to make connection. It really is quite a hassle." Cai Zhen said. Cai Zhen seemed to be the one the brought up all the problems. This was going to be beneficial and annoying at the same time. Lu Feng just wanted to rest today but he was being asked so many questions.

"Well my master says you will be training troops soon, so if any of them have real talent and not just to covet my masters influence, you can bring them when the the force are being out together."

"Right, we will make sure to bring some good ones" Cai Ran said.

"It is not only about fighting capability but character, they must be completely loyal to my master."

With that concluded Lu Feng finally took his rest. He went to one of the rooms and slept all evening and all night. His body getting the much needed rest it deserved. The Cai brothers shared the other room taking it in turns for the overnight watch.

When he woke he instructed Cai Zhen with a few errands. Firstly he was to send an architect and head builder to the house Lu Feng was renting as well as contact those veteran war heroes he had put up a sign for to come also. In the afternoon the front of the house was now filled with 12 people.

Before anything Lu Feng made them sign a contract that said they would not be allowed to share the contents of this meeting unless given explicit permission to do so.

With everyone gathered around a table Lu Feng began.

"I have gathered you all here today to discuss plan of building on my masters land, of course the architect and head builder are here to deliberate and advise of his wishes with what can and cannot be done, I have also asked a few war veterans here to advise us also on how to make this land most secure, how we can build so that there are no blind spots for security patrols and to ensure we have a good layout should we be attacked. This land is vast and will be enough for us to train and houses few thousand troops, your advise will also be needed on how to structure these facilities to be the most up to date and efficient, there also will be an entertainment centre to generate revenue for us as well as some laboratories and farms lands for us to cultivate spirit herbs and finally a schools for the children of the troops. There must also be good pathways for trading in and out of my masters land.

This was a lot to digest for everyone, after a few minutes of everyone shouting their ideas over each other they came to realise Lu Feng was looking for the best quality work and not for everyone to show off their expertise, these conversations and drafts took so long that night time had come before anyone knew it. Lu Feng had to send Cai Ran to collect the money from the restaurant.

They would need more discussion for the next couple of weeks to figure out the blueprint, they were basically building a whole working new village on that land and there was much to be considered, everything down to how sewage, and piping to work, to how troop barracks wood he arranged to where was best to put the farming land to the resources they would use, how the foundations would be built, what order they would do it in. The was the biggest project any of them had in their lifetime and the money was definitely worth it.

Altogether this was going to cost 800-900 gold to build. A few weeks went by with these discussions and they had added in some more necessary people to discuss such as those relevant for the entertainment centre which would be a large part of the revenue that they would collect.

In these weeks Lu Feng kept his promise as every now and then he would go and slay a spirit beast for the restaurant, his space ring was now getting full and he reached out to that merchant again about other villages that would buy the spirit beast hides and claws and all their other materials that could be made into weapons and armour.
