A huge palace that was twice the size of my own and mine wasn't something to scoff at the size alone was bigger than multiple villages but this one was huge and beautiful.
The person who built it had a great sense of fashion as the main body of the palace was the tallest with white color and bright lights surrounding the whole building but what made it the most mesmerizing is the material used on it.
It didn't exist back then but it looked like magic was imbued in them. I don't know how they work but I could sense a lot of magic power coming from them.
The only way to create those is to have a very good understanding of magic on a level that surpassed that of the previous rulers I, of course, could've created them but even if I did I wouldn't use it.
"Alright time to set up shop."
Anne wandered in without waiting for John who looked half dead after pushing the food stand the whole way without a break.
…
We set up the food stand in front of a random building that was close to the entrance to the city and the most crowded street with people coming in and out there was never a time that it didn't have someone.
"Come get a fresh piece of everything for a cheap price!"
Emma was shouting at the top of her lungs as we weren't the only farmers selling products. I now see why John told us to come early.
The street was full of vendors. It took a few minutes but we finally caught the attention of a person.
"How much for an apple?"
The gentleman said while pointing at a very shiny apple.
I was confused why he asked for a price when a sign with the price for apples was there.
"That'll be Ł20." (Ł10 = ¢10USD)
The guy handed Anne 2 small copper coin that had the symbol of a sword in the middle.
Accepting the money, Anne handed the guy an apple.
This city seemed to be the city of humans since I didn't see anything but humans here so it had me wondering where was the other kingdo-
I stopped what I was thinking when I noticed an elf, demon, and dwarf walk by, and what surprised me the most was none of them were fighting.
The reason why the 4 races had their own kingdom was the dispute of which race was the strongest.
So every time any of the races came across each other they would have a brawl to see who came out victorious and it didn't matter what your age was.
It made me wonder if peace was finally achieved or was this just all an act.
Either way, it was soothing to see everyone in one spot but for some reason, a lot of people came toward our food stand.
"How much for the milk?"
"How much for a pack of carrots?"
"How much…"
"How much…"
…
We made about Ł1179 from all that and I didn't feel happy at all I mean the prices at our food stand was so cheap compared to other.
Also, the same thing happened everyone asked for the prices without looking at the signs.
That could've been why we were able to attract a lot of customers but some guy just sold a pack of apples for Ł1000 that was everything we just made.
After thinking so much my head was fried and since I was being carried I couldn't do much so I was very bored.
We waited for people to come but we only got about a person every 5 minutes then an elf came to our stand and he had a familiar aura to him but I couldn't grasp what it was.
"Awe is that your girl? She's so pretty."
Anne bent down and stroked the little elf's blonde hair.
"How old is she?"
"She's only 2."
"I can also say the same to your son he's very handsome."
He said while staring at me with a satisfied smile.
"So what do you wanna buy mister?"
"Ithil."
Ithil responded while reaching his hand over the food stand for a handshake with John and Anne.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Anne and this is my husband John."
John smiled happily since he was finally doing something other than watching.
After shaking hands he looked at the prices with a weird expression.
"Why are the prices so low?"
Ithil pointed at the sign with the apple prices.
"Only Ł20?"
"It's because the last time we had the prices high, someone tried attacking us for it."
She faced her head towards the ground and lifted the back of her blonde hair revealing a deep scar.
My expression immediately turned grim and to my surprise, Ithil had the same expression.
She lifted her head and smiled bitterly and John looked at the scar with rage.
"I'm sorry I couldn't do anything."
John said while tearing up a little but he wiped it off the moment they came out of his eyes.
"It's ok honey he had an aura, and a group of lackeys, there was nothing we could've done."
Anne hugged John and he hugged her back. John's eyes again flared with rage when he looked at a group at another food stand.
"That's them."
Pointing his finger, we all turned our heads to a group mixed with demons, elves, dwarfs, and 1 human.
There were a total of 7 people in the group.
One of them noticed John pointing and tapped the shoulder of the leader and whispered in his ear.
They soon started walking our way and Anne's face turned pale. John wasn't afraid at all the only thing hurting him was his inability to protect his wife and now newborn child.
They arrived and the human with 2 scars that formed an x on his face spoke. "I see you lowered the price. Just for that, I'll buy an item from you."
His lackeys behind him started laughing and it made me mad that I couldn't do anything since my mana core wouldn't be ready for a couple of years.
The scar-faced guy named Dan tried reaching for an apple but was halted by Ithil's hand.
"I was here first, so I suggest you wait your turn."
Dan's face became red with veins sprouting on his forehead.
"I don't think you know who you're messing with."
His lackeys started walking towards Ithil but Dan's hand stopped their movement.
"I got this."
They backed away and watched what Dan would do next.
"Can you hold her real quick?"
Handing Anne his daughter Ithil stretched his arms and closed his eyes.
"Boss, he's underestimating you."
One of Dan's demon lackeys pointed his finger at Ithil and his remarks made Dan even angrier than he already was.
Dan's blue eyes shined bright signaling he was using mana.
I knew this guy was a second-rate magic user since he couldn't even hide the change of color in his eyes.
Advanced magic users can hide the change in their eye color making it difficult to read them.
The brighter the eye shines the stronger the attack is going to be, so not knowing how to hide your eye change in color puts you at a huge disadvantage.
Dan's eye shined very bright meaning he was probably going to use his strongest attack.
He put both of his hands in front of his chest and a small red fireball started forming it slowly got bigger and then shot towards Ithil.
All the spectators started running away with screams loud enough to be heard from miles away, and even Dan's lackeys backed away from him.
"It's over for that guy, that's boss's strongest attack."
Just when the attack was about to reach Ithil finally opened his eyes releasing so much bloodlust that Dan fell to his knees.
He raised his arms slightly above his chest and Dan's fireball slowly got absorbed into Ithil's palm.
I widened my eyes since absorbing someone's else attack was a very difficult thing to do even for me back when I was training to defeat the
Also, the bloodlust he released was something that could only be built up by a deep hatred for something.
Dan and his lackeys started sweating excessively this was the second time they ever felt this type of fear, the first time was when they were face to face with the demon lord.
Ithil slowly walked towards Dan who was still being pressured to his knee by Ithil's bloodlust.
Glaring down at Dan like he was an ant he was going to trample on, he crouched down to be face level with Dan.
He made a finger gun and then a tiny black ball the size of a marble was on the top of his finger.
Even though it was tiny you could feel the power behind it, it felt like it could level this entire city.
Just when he was about to release his attack on Dan a group of knights on horses stopped him.
"Stop that attack or else we won't hesitate to attack you."
