Feng Hei Lang slipped back through the window of the inn to see Kang Lei and Kirei sitting at the floor.
There were stacks of herbs and other materials in front of them. They leapt up when they saw her. Kang Lei grabbed her by the shoulders. "Ah! Where did you go, Hei Lang! Why would you go out when you are poisoned?" He gently shook her.
She let out a little laughter. "It's fine now, I can suppress the poison for six days. I just need to hold out for a week."
Kirei frowned. "What did you do? Even Kang Lei could only suppress it for an hour."
Feng Hei Lang smiled and held a finger up to her lips. "It's a secret."
He sighed and pulled out a large pot from within his spatial pouch. "I shall start making the antidote, you two help me."
He picked up a pile of leaves and chopped them up into fine pieces in a few seconds. "Kang Lei, get me a cup of the brown powder."
Kang Lei opened a box to find a stinky powder inside. He coughed and asked, "What even is that? IT STINKS!"
Feng Hei Lang took a sniff and then flinched. "Ooh~ That does smell bad..."
Kirei sighed and took it from Kang Lei. "Just give it to me." Kirei poured the entire box into the pot then grabbed a bottle from his spatial pouch. It was a shiny elixir with a sweet smell. He turned to Feng Hei Lang. "Pass me the roots."
She picked up a few brown roots and passed them to him. Within a few swift movements, he chopped it up, poured in the elixir, and closed the brewing pot.
He nodded and said, "I'll keep watch over it, but it will take a week to finish it."
Kang Lei clapped his hands together. "Anyways, let me check on the poison for you, Hei Lang."
Feng Hei Lang frowned. 'If he checks, he might want to know what caused the poison to slow down so much.' She shook her head. "I'm fine, Kang Lei. But thank you."
Kirei stood up. "I shall go grab dinner."
She also did not like the idea of that. She was utterly full from eating tiny pieces of flesh for a while. Feng Hei Lang laid down onto the bed. "I'll be taking a rest, I'm not hungry."
Kang Lei froze at that. "Lost of appetite is not a good sign! Go eat something!"
Feng Hei Lang rolled her eyes and said, "I already ate something while I was out. Satisfied?"
Kirei tilted his head. "But you didn't have any money..."
She sighed. "Whatever! I'll just take whatever you give me."
Both of them nodded and started heading out of the inn as Feng Hei Lang pulled up her quest board.

Feng Hei Lang felt a smile form on her face when she noticed the difficulty dropped. 'Is that because I leveled up a ton today? And I really want the evolution stone, so that I can go up to Rare grade.' She closed the quest board and used [Shadow Manipulation] to take Xing out of her shadow.
She gaped when she saw him. Xing had grown around three times he previous size, and was now around the size of a large dog.
Feng Hei Lang quickly pulled up his stat window.

She frowned annoyedly. 'All he did was level up once! Why is his stats still way more than me?!' Feng Hei Lang sighed and shook Xing awake. "Wake up, Xing. Kang Lei and Kirei are going to come back with food soon."
He stretched out his wings and opened his mouth in a small little yawn. "Rawr?"
'Mommy?' Xing looked up at her with his wide eyes.
Feng Hei Lang quickly took him off her lap. "You're too big to be sleeping on my lap. If you grow this quickly, I'll be able to ride you in just a few months!"
'Teehee, Mommy, I'm hungry!' Xing opened his mouth wide, hoping for food.
At that moment, Kang Lei and Kirei opened the door to their room to see a large black lizard with wings staring at Feng Hei Lang with its mouth wide open, as if it was trying to eat her.
Kirei instantly placed down the plates in his hand and pulled out his sword. He was about to start attacking it, when Feng Hei Lang shouted, "Wait! Kirei! This is my Mind Link beast!"
He paused right before his swing. "Your Mind Link beast?"
She nodded anxiously. "So don't hurt him, alright?"
Xing tilted his head. 'Mommy, who are these people?'
Feng Hei Lang pointed at both of them. "That one is Kirei, and the other person Kang Lei, you've seen him before."
Kang Lei passed a plate of food to Feng Hei Lang. "This is Xing? He's grown so big!" He gave Xing a pat on the head.
Kirei frowned. "It's not...a lizard beast. What is it?"
She didn't respond. "Whatever I say, no one believes it, so just take it as Xing is a type of flying lizard beast."
Kang Lei shrugged. "That's what I said too when I saw Xing, but Hei Lang never told me what he was."
Feng Hei Lang passed some of her plate to Xing as he licked it clean. Then, she walked Xing and herself back to her room. "I'm going to rest. You two, enjoy your meal."
Kirei nodded and Kang Lei waved. "Bye bye, Hei Lang! See you later, Xing!"
She flopped down onto the hard bed and snuggled under the covers. Within a few seconds, she was asleep.
