Bombed!

Feng Hei Lang crouched underneath the bush she was at. She could spot the Iron Fanged Wolf Clan's dens from her perspective. One signal from Kirei and she would move.

She spotted Kang Lei hiding near the entrance of the wolf's den. Kirei was standing on a nearby tree. He faced Kang Lei and gave him a thumbs-up.

Kang Lei took a deep breath and let out a very loud howl. It sounded as if he was calling for help.

Within a few seconds, wolves peeked out from the entrance. They were a shiny silver with their iron teeth gleaming. They seemed to signal to each other before splitting up, running off in pairs.

Feng Hei Lang watched the entrance to see if Fo Lau and the other foxes were anywhere in sight. She caught a flash of movement behind her and looked back.

A single Iron Fanged Wolf had found her. If it calls for its pack-mates, her entire plan will be ruined. Feng Hei Lang ran from the bushes and used [Telepathy] to tell Kirei she was being chased. "Kirei! I was found! Tell me if you spot Fo Lau! I'll be distracting this wolf!"

There was a short prompt answer from him. "Ok."

She skidded to a stop and turned back to face the wolf. Feng Hei Lang raised her paw and formed shadow swords in the air. However, the wolf dodged all of them.

She frowned and continued running while using [Appraisal].

Feng Hei Lang could see it catching up to her quickly. 'No wonder its ability is [Extreme Agility]!'

Within a blink of an eye, it was now in front of her. Feng Hei Lang whipped her head forward and hissed. 'Should I reason with it? It might be friendly right? But it hasn't tried to talk to me yet!'

oShe raised a paw and tried to reason with it. "Hello...uh...wolf. I did not mean to invade your forest, r I am merely lost." Feng Hei Lang dipped her head as she watched its reaction.

The wolf growled at her, having no reaction at her message.

Feng Hei Lang stomped her paw on the ground and used [Shadow Manipulation] to make vines grab the wolf's legs. The wolf tried to break free using its claws, but failed.

Instead, it started howling loudly. Feng Hei Lang clenched her teeth. 'Shit! I forgot about the fact that I was supposed to shut it up!' She quickly used [Chomp] to kill the wolf before running.

As Feng Hei Lang started running from the scene, using [Killing Intent Sense], she could tell that there were wolves getting closer. They were going to catch up to her eventually.

Feng Hei Lang stopped in her track once more and flipped around, summoning Xing. "Xing, use [Spatial Distortion] to try and create a dimensional loop!"

He tilted his head and nodded. 'Okay, I'll try, Mommy!' Xing opened his mouth, white energy gathering into a ball. With a small blow, the ball exploded outwards with a rippling effect. A small white dome appeared before vanishing from sight.

He turned back to Feng Hei Lang, looking proud. 'Anyone who walks into there know will be trapped, Mommy!'

She smiled and patted his little cat head. "Good job, Xing. We need to find Kirei and Kang Lei now."

Just as Feng Hei Lang made it back to her old hiding spot, Kirei's voice filled her mind. "Fo Lau and the others have made it to the entrance! There's a lot more missing wolves than expected, we'll have to move fast before they kill the alpha."

Feng Hei Lang sent back a quick reply. "Alright." Then, she turned to Xing, "I'll keep you in my shadow for now, I don't want the wolves sensing you."

He nodded and entered her shadow. Feng Hei Lang started heading towards the entrance when she spotted Kirei leaping down from a tree. She gave him a quick wave. "Where is Kang Lei?"

He turned to her. "He's should be in the dens by now. Remember, his job is to locate the alpha so that we can bomb the place at kill the alpha."

Feng Hei Lang started running towards the entrance, using [Dash]. "Alright, once I see Fo Lau and her group fighting the wolves, I'll go in and throw the smoke bombs."

Kirei nodded once more and turned away. "I'll go find Kang Lei. As long as you don't detonate the bomb too early, we'll be fine."

She activated [Presence Concealment] and [Camouflage] as she neared the entrance. Clattering of battle could be heard from inside. Feng Hei Lang peeked inside to see that the wolves had surrounded Fo Lau. She grinned. 'Their main skills were for sneaking around and not combat!'

Feng Hei Lang could see Kirei approaching the entrance at the other side. With a simple nod from him, she summoned the smoke bomb from her inventory and pulled out the safety pin. Feng Hei Lang used her mouth to toss it within the wolves.

Instantly, a BOOM! was heard from the dens. Smoke appeared everywhere and blocked everyone's vision, including Feng Hei Lang. She shook her head, trying to clear it. 'Damn it! Nobody told me the smoke bomb was so big!'

She ran into the dens wildly, trying to find Kirei and Kang Lei. Feng Hei Lang crashed into something and fell down. She rubbed her head and looked up to see a large, silver wolf looming over her.
