Team Seventy

David called out team seventy and they came forward, already it was becoming nightfall so they were the last team to take the test today.

"Are you guys ready?" David asked them.

"Can we get this over and done with it's getting late, and I'm tired and pretty hungry too" Jason said.

David could see that this group was different from the other groups, it wasn't enthusiastic like the rest of the groups and it's members seemed like they didn't get along. All of them minding their own business and not caring about others.

"Okay, let's start you may now go to the maze" David sensing the unfriendly tension.

"What about our map and guideline rules?" Valkyria asked.

"Oh yeah I forgot about that" David chuckles awkwardly, he looks for the team's map through his satchel bag and he keeps on looking, but doesn't find it. He even takes out all the maps in the bag "huh, that's interesting" David look through all the maps, but doesn't seem to have any luck finding it.

"What's happening?" Ezra asked.

"Uh I don't see your team's map, see you can see other team's numbers written on top of the other maps, except yours" David shows them all the maps.

"So what are you meaning to tell us?" Sarah concerned.

"He's trying to tell us that we have to take the test without our map" Damian answered.

The team looked at each other and David, who was now in an awkward position.

"So what we going to do now?" Jason asked.

"I mean you already know the rules and pretty much you now know what to expect inside the maze, why don't you take the test? Only if you guys are comfortable about that" David suggested.

The team sighs and looks at each other to see what decision they are going to take, if they forfeit they fail the tests. Already they were taken from their families and now they can't go back.

Ezra steps forward, the rest of the team watches him - then Valkyria steps forward too, followed by Sarah.

"Well I guess we are doing this" Damian said. Then he and Jason step forward too.

"Alrighty then this should be entertaining" David smiled.

The team went forward and went for the maze, when they arrived closer to it's entrance. It was so big up close more like the golden wheat was nine foot tall, which from afar it seemed so small. The wheat opens up the path for them to enter.

"Everyone good luck" Sarah wished everyone good luck.

"You guys better not fail, cause if one of you fails we all do" Valkyria warned.

"Does that also applies to you?" Ezra asked her.

She didn't reply back instead she just gave him a cold stare, that says don't mess with me. Then she took the lead and went in first.

"We are doomed" Damian said.

"Come on" Ezra called them.

Then they all went inside the maze and the entrance closed behind them. While they were inside the wheat started dying and something shook the ground, a crack appeared, a crack between the five of them.

"Guys" Damian was the first to notice it.

"Is this supposed to happen?" Sarah scared.

"Whatever it is I'm sure it can't be worse than being here with you guys" Valkyria said.

"Trust me we don't like you too, princess" Ezra told her.

The ground erupted beneath and something came with them inside, a big wind spinned around them like a tornado taking formation. A building came out of nowhere, one floor at a time when it was complete it was so high almost reaching the sky, and it wasn't complete.

"Where are we?" Damian wondered.

"The tower of Babel" Jason mesmerized by this.

The tower of Babel was beautiful and ancient inside, it was like the Colosseum it's structure was made of stone, concrete and tuff.

"What are we supposed to do?" Sarah asked.

Everyone else just looked at her as if what she just said didn't make any sense to any of them.

"Guys, why are you staring at me like that?" Then Sarah heard herself, she wasn't speaking English anymore she was speaking a different language, a ancient language Aramaic.

"What's wrong with you Sarah?" Damian freaked out, "Talk normal will ya?" Then Damian's language changed too it was Hebrew.

"Oh no!" Jason disturbed.

"What?" Ezra asked.

"And you better talk fast Jason" Valkyria ordered.

"Okay, okay since we are in the tower of Babel and if you know the story this building was built by humans in attempt to see heaven, then God punished them by making them talk in different languages" Jason explained.

"Yeah what about it?" They both asked.

"Well since we are also in the tower of Babel I guess that we also we'll experience the same fate as the first children of languages" Jason continued.

What Jason didn't realize that when he was busy explaining all of that his language had already changed too, it was Greek. When he finally heard himself he covered his mouth.

"Great I guess it's me and you now Ezra" Valkyria said luckily for her, her language didn't change it remained the English language.

"Great I'm stuck with you" Ezra was now talking Latin.

Now they were caught in a awkward situation, this wasn't supposed to be how the tests go. Different languages and they couldn't even understand each other, all of them tried to say something to each other hoping that they would understand one another but they were wrong.

"What now?" Sarah asked in Aramaic.

No one really knew or even understood what she was trying to say.

"You guys are ugly" Damian said in Hebrew.

No one still didn't understand him either and he just laughed at himself.

They were all standing next to each other and just staring at each other not knowing what to do, even if one had an idea no one would really understand them.

All of them fell one by one, like being sucked by the ground.
