House of New Dawn

I woke up in a house which was not familiar at all. I realised that I got hurt by that blade attack and was losing blood and fell unconscious. I saw around myself, this place was more neat and clean, which you could not expect at a time like this.

Then I saw behind there were two twins watching over me and they shouted. "He is awake." I was confused that what was happening here. I said. "slow down or they will hear us."

"um... Sorry." they replied.

Then a girl came out and asked. "How are you feeling now?"

In all this confusion I didn't even realise that my arm was not hurting at all. I looked at it but it was healed completely.

The twins said. "We found you unconscious so we rushed for your help at least you could say thank you."

You know right, the situation outside. The more people die, more your chances of survival.

"yeah we know... But!" twins replied.

"And this is not how you will survive." Davis Laughs and say. "Still, Thanks a lot for your help."

First Ned and Ted, the twins I met told me about themselves. They were around me only 17-18 years old. They told me about their story.

They both belonged to a cowboy family and they both carry a single gun which was like passed on to them from their ancestors. They always play with that gun with safety off and didn't even realised that it was real and not just some decoration piece.

When this all situation broke out terror was everywhere and it reached these twins house too and someone broke into their house where only these two were living.

And someone was trying to kill them. So in panic Ned picked up the gun and shot at that person.

"That was my first kill and last kill." Ned said.

"We both were shocked at what we just did how can we escape this. That time we found Emilia our saviour who rescued us and took care of us." Ned continues to tell about them.

"We survived this long because of Emilia dude. She is a wizard or something." Ted said to Davis.

"Yeah, every time we got hurt she healed us and also you too." Ned told Davis.

That's when I came to know that Emilia is a healer. Which means she is a healing relic user. The first relic user I ever seen.

"But there is still a catch that the more she uses the more it affects her health and that's why we avoid getting in trouble." Ned said.

"wh-what is a relic user?" Ned asked.

"Relic's said to be magical items that Seth dropped and there are only 10 of them." Davis replied.

"Whoa, you are someone special Emilia." Ted said to Emilia.

I asked Emilia. "How did you get this?"

Then she told she lost her brother because of these wandering monsters and her brother was trying to protect her. That's when he gave it to Emilia. He said keep it with you always it is a lucky charm.

She told me that she left her brother and managed to escape that and found these two in need and saved them and was living in this house.

"I never thought I was something magical. I always close my eyes and next thing I see is that the wound is healed but like Ned said it affects my body somehow." said Emilia.

"These are not meant for humans so it takes its toll on our body to use that relic." Davis replied.

"So why did you save me?" Davis asked.

"I don't know but... but you remind me of my... brother." Emilia replied.

"Don't you think this is too much to understand for a complete stranger like me." Davis replied.

"Yeah both of you have that same angry look but with a smile on your face. But deep down you are broken by something." said Emilia.

The room suddenly got silent for a few moments then I smiled and said. "Yeah, you got that part right... Maybe we could have been good friends."

Everyone got sad and were about to cry for their loss, their families, friends so I said. "Don't worry, I don't when I talk about these things. Just keep them in your memories that way they can always be with you."

Everyone had a smile on their faces which changed the mood and felt better.

"I will just have some fresh air to think about what to do next. OK." Davis said to Emilia and Twins.

I walked out and started sobbing about that horrific incident, that horrifying scenes. I couldn't get over it. I still sometimes think that it is not real.

Emilia followed and sat next to me and said. "Now I am more sure that you are like my brother. Always try to encourage others, being the tough guy but can't overcome his own fear."

"*sniffs while cleaning his eyes.* Yeah, I still couldn't overcome what happened to my friends. It haunts me every moment of my life." Davis replied.

"It's OK to cry you know, it lifts some of the burden from your shoulder." said Emilia.

"I have done something which makes me hate myself." said Davis.

"I don't think so, you are quite a good person I think." Emilia replied

"I have killed all those people inside the cage, I murdered them all how can I call myself a good person." Davis replied.

"So what!" said Emilia.

"Don't you understand. I am not a good person, I can kill you three and just move on." Davis replied.

"If so, then you might have already done that and should not have listened to our stories and reasons. And for killing those people you must have a good reason." Emilia replied.

"*sighs* You seemed like the most good personality in a situation like this." said Davis.

"I am just being honest with myself and I have accepted that whatever happens in future will be because of my choices and not that it is already written over somewhere like this." Emilia replied.

"Never thought that I would look at the sky and say it looks better at night because of that barrier." Davis said to Emilia.

"Let's get inside or..." said Emilia.

"No thanks. I...I will stay here. Don't worry, I won't leave you. This could be my new start you know." replied Davis.

"Be aware of those things. See ya." said Emilia.

"See ya!"

I never...never thought about this, that there could be good people in such a situation too. This could be my start.

This could be "The House of my New Dawn."
