A Group That Wants Freedom

(Few Days Later)

I moved on from that old house after gaining some experience, some real experience which I can use to even defeat a monster. But... I would still avoid a head-to-head against monsters, just to be careful.

I was walking and I suddenly heard some people talking so I took cover to listen and to get some information about my surroundings and the situation because I was unaware of what was happening in this past month.

With this I can say that my senses have gotten sharper and those two talk about a group of people trying to penetrate through this barrier and try to get help from the outside world.

This was a shock for me like their are people who want to break free from this. Is that even possible? Is it even true? I had my doubts so I decided to follow them and I reached a safe house their.

I was secretly watching from a distance but I couldn't hear anything. Then suddenly a person attacked me but I dodged that attack and slashed him with my blade. As my body moved instinctively to defend against it. I didn't even get the chance to think properly.

I killed a person who I didn't see a single time in my life but it was not outside of my motto. I will kill anyone who tries to come in my way of survival.

With wiping his blood off my blade I entered the hideout and everyone was watching me and I saw two huge guys standing in front. I understood just by a glance that they are the leader here.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to kill him, my body moved instinctively because I felt a threat." I said.

One of the big guys said. "NO. You did the right thing."

"But boss they killed our man their." other people started shouting.

The other big guy said. "I know how you all fell but we are surviving here. If one is not strong enough to survive, then that person won't make it through."

Then they introduced themselves as they both were relic users.

First Big guy said. "I am Ryan and I am a SHIELD relic user. My guard can even push the monsters away. That's how we survived till now."

The other big guy said. "I am Garrick and I am a SWORD relic user. This provides me with a great sword to attack and a protective armour for that arm I am wielding my sword in."

"So, this is what kept you all alive. There are two relic users working together as one." I replied.

"I know this might not be normal for you to see this. That's aside tell me about you then. Why did you come here in the first place?" asked Garrick.

"Name Davis, I am or was a normal high school student before all this then I tried to survive this situation with my friends but they died in that process. Even after that I kept moving forward and met new people who wanted to stay out of all this and it gave me some hope and their I met the first relic user, Emilia. She had a healing relic but I lost her and two others in an ambush of monsters but before that we managed to kill another relic user who had blades that made him invisible." I replied.

"Your journey was something man. So you survived till now without being a relic user. That's Great." said Ryan.

"I never thought that it was because of only me it all happened with the help of my fallen friends." I replied.

Suddenly I felt a presence so I shouted. "Hey you! in that corner why don't you just stop hiding and show your face to us."

Someone came out of that place. He had something weird on his forehead and I was thinking I had seen him somewhere before.

Then I realised and said. "You are the one with that weird thing on your forehead who was watching me from a distance when I was in an awful condition."

"Marc, did you know him or something?" Garrick asked.

"Not exactly. I just happened to see him." Marc replied.

"So why don't you tell me your reason for coming here?" Ryan asked.

"I heard from two people that their is a group of 15 - 20 people who are going to penetrate through that barrier to get any help that they can get." I replied.

"Well you are not wrong. We are planning on doing such..." said Ryan.

"Then let me join in too. I want to end this as well. I can fight to get this freedom." I replied.

"We acknowledge that you are strong because he was one strong fighter that you killed earlier stronger than most of the people here. But I want to be sure that you would not betray us or anything." said Garrick.

"So what do I have to do to prove it." I asked.

"You just focus on Marc and he will do the rest. If you didn't notice he is a relic user too. He can control a person by manipulating them to do things but if your will power is strong, then you can break free him." Garrick replied.

"Marc do your thing." said Garrick.

This is going to be a heck of an experience.

I could feel something in my head like someone else is inside my head So I must show my anger, my determination to him.

"So Marc what did do feel?" asked Garrick.

"He has a lot of anger and frustration because he thinks that all the bad things that happened were his fault. He has gone through many difficulties and seen some unfortunate things." Marc replied.

I was feeling exhausted right now like I saw something was inside my head, someone or something. It was like a mental fight or something.

"Well even after Marc's power you are still standing. You have a strong will. I can accept you in this group but you need to prove to others that you are someone who is worthy enough to be here." said Garrick.

"I know. And I won't disappoint you for giving me this opportunity." I replied.

With this I found a New Place, a New Group... That Want Freedom.
