Reunion Pt. II

I woke up on my bed and noticed Mihr watching over me. I sat up and held my head then groaned softly. Mihr looked at me and smiled a bit. She gently caressed my cheek and I looked at her. There was something about Mihr's presence that put me at ease. I closed my eyes and leaned against her and she held me in her arms.

"Did you rest well..?" She asked softly.

"I did...Is Daisy okay?" I responded.

Mihr smiled and gently rubbed my hair. "She is...She is in another room resting. Do you remember me..?"

"I do... You're the woman I saw when I was in the accident. You couldn't save my parents, but you saved me...I owe you my everything.." I said.

"You owe me nothing...I couldn't have performed the miracle without Alpha and Yascha at my side. They have judged you...and they saw redemption within you. You are a true Miracle, my light.." Mihr said as she kept me in her embrace.

I stayed in Mihr's warm embrace for a while longer. Little did I know, she was healing my body spiritually and helping me become whole again. The warm light emitting around my body felt nice, my body never tried to reject it instead it accepted it with gratitude.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Anything..." Mihr answered.

"Am I truly connected to the Sacred Verses?" I asked.

"You are...~ You don't know it, but Yascha wants you to find these Verses...and use them to stop The Nexus from completing their ultimate goal. That organization is planning to awaken Nexus into the Mortal Realm and open the pathway to Heaven. To do that, they need beings with strong spiritual energy and the Darlings from Dearie Corps are more than enough for it." Mihr explained.

"What are these Sacred Verses and how many are there truly?" I asked.

"There are Nine Sacred Verses. Each one granting an ability or spell. Creation grants Light Blast. Pillars of Life grants the spell Holy Lances. Hands of Time grants the spell God Hand. Holy Phantasm grants the spell Light Rush. Divine Sin grants a spell pertaining to each of the Seven Sins. Wall of Protection grants the spell Holy Wall. Holy Execution grants the spell Divine Spears. Destruction grants the spell Holy Annihilation. Only when gathering all Eight of the Sacred Verses is the Ninth revealed." Mihr said.

"Before I get into the ninth verse...I must explain what these Verses are truly. These Verses are the telling of the beginning and end of existence of the Mortal Realm. The person who collects all eight verses plus the final verse will be the deciding factor on if the Mortal Realm lives...or dies..." Mihr continued.

"I see...and what of the final verse?" I asked.

"The Ninth Verse...The Sacred Connector. This Verse grants the wielder to become the Vessel for Nexus and grants the spell, Autopotence. Basically with Sacred Connector, you truly ascend to Godhood and rule over the domain called the Nexus Point." Mihr answered.

"Why was I chosen? This is something that I can't truly take on as I am..." I said.

"That's why Arabella is working so hard to get you ready...get you ready for a fate that is inevitable. You are to become the one who stops The Nexus as it is already in Yascha's Will and Vision. To do that, you are to spread love and save those who are corrupted by the Anti." Mihr said.

I looked up at Mihr. "The Anti?"

"I will save that talk for another day...for now, I want you to focus on what's in front of you and that is to grow stronger and more reliable by leveling up your VIP. I will be here if you have anything you want to ask me about what we talked about." Mihr said and let me go.

I got off Mihr and looked at her. "Thank you..."

Mihr nodded and smiled at me. "Go get ready..~ The night is still young..."

"Yeah..." I nodded.

"Proposal: Go check on Hannah." Dearie said.

I sat in my car and thought about Hannah and everything she's done up to this point. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath then exhaled. "After I save Hannah...I've gotta renew her connection with Cassie. It's starts...with killing Dane."

"Dane is not a System Wielder. Killing him will cause more trouble than good. Proposal: Do not kill Dane." Dearie said.

"He's holding a Darling hostage essentially. The policy says anyone who harms or mistreats a Darling..." I said.

Dearie crossed her arms and looked at me. "Affirmative. Coordinates for Hannah's location—Coordinates are Unknown."

"Hm?" I looked at Dearie.

"I can not find Hannah. She must be in a place where her spirit can not be found. Tracking Dane's location. Coordinates for Dane found." Dearie said.

I noticed the mark appear on my map then started my car then drove toward the marking. All I could think about is if Hannah was safe. I didn't care about anything else in this moment.

Dane looked over Hannah as she laid on the bed. "Are you sure about this..? She doesn't even possess this Wonder Shard you talk about.."

The black cloaked man nodded and smirked at Hannah. "She will be yours forever and I'll make sure her beauty remains Eternal as all Angels should be. There's something different about this Darling here...Her beauty...it shouldn't be taken by another man.."

Dane crossed his arms then sighed softly. "Alright.."

The man chuckled and held his hand over Hannah's body then began to use his power to corrupt Hannah. As he used his magic, the two heard their allies yelling in pain and gunshots then an explosion. The man stopped his process and sighed.

"Must be an Agent." Dane said.

"Negative. They wouldn't even have been able to track us taken my Dark Barrier. That means a System Wielder found us.." The man said.

I walked inside the building and noticed a few Nexus Members rushing out to stop me from progressing further. "Where is Hannah?!"

None of them answered me which pissed me off.

"I'm not going to ask again...Where is Hannah..." I asked and my eyes slightly shined.

The first Nexus Member dashed toward me and used their dark energy to construct an axe then slashed down at me. They noticed someone rush forward then strike their stomach. They groaned and was blown away.

"I'm glad you called me as I was in the area...Now let's clear out the area." Yuki said and smiled then summoned her stick that turned into a wooden claymore.

The other members dashed toward us then we engaged into combat with the Nexus Members. Yuki and I worked together to strike down the members and clear out the area. Yuki drew a symbol then a massive spiritual bird crashed down through the roof and landed on the ground then exploded, defeating the remaining Nexus Members.

"That's everyone so far..." Yuki said and forward. She stopped when she heard clapping.

"Well done...Well done, my dear Yuki..~" A black cloaked figure said as he made his way down the stairs.

Yuki and I watched the man walk down the stairs. I looked up and noticed Dane. I glared at him then looked back at the cloaked figure. I noticed vines growing around the walls, entangling together to block the exit. Large rose buds also formed around the area.

"I didn't even realize that you were here, Yuki. I'm guessing that System Wielder known as Claudio was able to help you track me. Well, as a reward...you become worthy to witness my power. The power that comes straight from...the Garden of Beginnings..~" The man said then black angel wings emerged from his back.

"Lotus...What are you doing to Hannah? Where is she?" Yuki asked.

"Hannah is truly safe, but I can not let her beauty become tainted by any man.." Lotus said then pointed at Dane then fired a large green needle through his head.

Dane couldn't even speak before dropping dead. I watched as Lotus pointed his finger at me and fired a large green needle at me, but Dearie blocked it using an energy shield then destroyed the needle.

Lotus laughed then black rose petals formed around his hand then he swiped his hand, constructing a scythe. Lotus got into his stance then smirked at us. "Let us begin our Dance.."

"Alert: A powerful being has appeared. Proposal: Defeat Lotus." Dearie said.

Lotus walked forward then teleported behind me. He held my shoulder and whispered in my ear. I grunted and pushed him away then groaned, holding my head.

"Alert: You have been corrupted. Proposal: Allow me to heal you as each successful hit Lotus lands will cause you to become corrupted faster." Dearie said.

Lotus chuckled then dodged Yuki's attacks and laughed. "Now it's just us two, Snow White."

"Stop calling me that! I am not Snow White!" Yuki said then ran toward Lotus.

The two clashed and repelled each other. Lotus held his hand out and launched a swarm of black rose petals at Yuki, knocking her away then launched cutting waves at her. Yuki regained her footing and blocked the cutting waves then dashed toward him. Yuki dragged her blade along the floor and slashed in a circle, using her momentum to make her attack vastly more powerful.

Lotus blocked the attack and grunted softly. He skidded back and held his hand out then a rose bud opened and fired a beam of dark green energy at Yuki. She used her blade to block the beam and slid backwards. She noticed the beam disappeared slowly and panted softly.

"You all can't stop our new operation anymore. Once we find those Sacred Verses, Project: Middle Reality is a go and the first thing we are going to do is build a reality without Dearie Corps! Tempest will become our new Goddess and rule the Heavens and our own mortal universe! It is only a matter of time before our plans start.." Lotus said.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but that ain't going to happen." I said and stood up.

"Virus within your body has been removed. All bodily functions restored to normal." Dearie said.

Lotus smirked and stared at me. "And...you believe you can stop us?"

I took off my jacket then my marking shined. "100%"

Lotus looked at my marking and grunted. "You have the Sacred Verse?!"

"You can't complete your plans because I have one of the Verses." I said.

Lotus laughed like a maniac then his dark green aura surged powerfully around his body. "Then I'll rip that verse out of your pathetic body!"

Lotus propelled himself toward me then slashed at me but noticed my Live Decoy disappear. He grunted then groaned as I pressed a Light Blast against his back then it exploded. I was blown away from the recoil and rolled backwards.

Lotus stood up and grunted as the Light Blast had burned him. "You son of a bitch.."

"Analysis: Light Blast deals super effective damage against Nexus Members. Proposal: Use Light Blast to defeat Lotus!" Dearie said.

"Yuki!" I called out.

Yuki smiled at me and nodded. She charged right for Lotus and felt a new wave of confidence within. She slashed in a circular motion at Lotus, but he blocked it and pushed her away. The two clashed a few times before Lotus kicked Yuki away. Yuki drew a symbol then a doe appeared and bleated loudly.

She charged at Lotus and was surrounded by Spiritual Energy. She rammed into Lotus before he could react, knocking him into a wall. Yuki appeared in front of him and slashed at a him, but he teleported away and opened every rose bud around the walls.

"Die!" He bellowed.

"Dearie! Protect Yuki!" I bellowed as I charged up a powerful Light Blast.

Dearie flew straight into action then began to block every beam the rose buds fired at Yuki. Yuki was amazed at how efficiently and responsive Dearie was.

Lotus bellowed and surrounded himself with black rose petals. "Nexus grant me your strength for my strongest attack! Lotus Storm!"

I ran toward Lotus and my eyes shined brightly. "Eat my Light Blast!"

The two of us collided and a bright light shined then a massive explosion happened, blowing me away through the vines that blocked the doors. I rolled on the ground and panted heavily. Lotus crashed through the walls of the building, dropping his scythe.

Yuki and Dearie was surprised and hurried to go check up on me. I grunted softly as I slowly stood up. I was in clear pain, but my sheer determination to save Hannah allowed me to stand.

"Claudio..." Yuki said as she held me up.

"We...need to go check up...on Hannah..." I said and grunted softly.

Dearie focused on healing my body while Yuki carefully took me inside. We noticed a weapon sticking to the ground. A sword that was made from the remains of Lotus's scythe. It had a roughly diamond shaped blade that was black with golden edges. The guard of the sword was golden with three spikes on both sides and the handle was red with a smaller blade which resembled the main blade.

"Analysis: This sword is the remains of Lotus's Scythe named the Sacred Lotus. Proposal: You should claim ownership of this sword." Dearie said.

I walked toward the sword slowly and grabbed the handle. I pulled it from the ground then looked at it. The blade resonated with me and became white with the same golden edges. A white scabbard slowly formed around the blade and my signature appeared on the scabbard.

I nodded and slowly made my way up the stairs and into the room that Hannah was being held in. I walked toward her and looked at her.

"Analysis: Hannah is in a deep slumber. Proposal: Kiss Hannah to awaken her." Dearie said.

I looked at Dearie and she nodded. I looked back at Hannah then leaned down toward her. I kissed her lips and pulled away. The upside down cross shaped symbol shined on Hannah's neck then disappeared. Hannah slowly opened her eyes and looked at me. She slowly sat up and blushed as I hugged her. She hugged me back and gripped my shirt.

[Hannah's Trust Greatly Increased.]

Hannah and I sat outside at a park and stared at the stars, reconnecting with one another. It's been so long since we both actually had a one on one conversation with each other and it's been a longer time since we had an actual heart to heart.

"I'm sorry for everything...I'm sorry for everything I put you through and everything I've done to you.." Hannah said and lowered her head. "I was so stupid...so stupid to think Dane was..."

I looked at Hannah then wrapped my arm around her shoulder, pulling her toward me. "Honestly I should've seen you were being manipulated...and now I know the truth and all that really matters is that you're back with me.."

Hannah leaned against me and sniffled a bit. "Thank you..."

I gently rubbed Hannah's shoulder then slowly mad her look up at me. She stared into my eyes and watched me lean into her. She closed her eyes as I kissed her lips. She kissed back and felt so happy that I accepted her back.

Mihr, Daisy, and Yuki watched from a distance and smiled at me and Hannah.

"So you were saying Lotus was behind everything from Hannah cheating on Claudio and how he finally got his hands on her because...Hannah is a descendant of one of the women who originated in the Garden of Beginnings?" Daisy asked.

"She's a descendant of a woman named Evie...one of the first women Alpha created with Omega. She has no noticable features of Evie other than her unnatural beauty. Although Evie isn't the very first, she's one of the original humans to ever exist. Lotus noticed that and corrupted Hannah with lies leading into Hannah betrayal." Mihr explained.

"It is said that Lotus is the reincarnation of the first man who was created in the Garden of Beginnings, thus his power and connection to the Garden." Yuki said.

"Man...if the Organization like them have powerful people like Lotus around...our Darlings are in more danger than we realize and now that it is known that Claudio wields a Sacred Verse...he's going to become target number one." Daisy said then stood up. "I'm not gonna allow that so I'm gonna see if we can bring Claudio into some of our training sessions and get him a damn Wonder Shard so he can face off against these evildoers!"

Mihr looked at Daisy then closed her eyes. "His body will reject the Wonder Shard...as he is connected to the Heavens now. I will Spiritually Awaken him, after that any training you do is up in the air."

Daisy sat down and sighed. "Okay..."

"For now...allow him to spend time with his women...who knows...when it will be the last time he ever gets to go on dates again." Mihr said.

Daisy and Yuki looked at me and Hannah and thought about Mihr's words carefully.
