Which One?

"I need the following information within the day, if possible." Liu Zijian was on the phone with Ye Ming. He calmly enumerated the necessary details he needed to draw a definite conclusion.

He deduced three possible scenarios how she was married without her consent.

The first one with be a case of stolen identity or better known as identity theft. Someone used her personal information and pretended to be her then got married. Though this case was normally used to steal large amount of money from their victim, it has other uses as well. This option required intricate planning but the result might be surprisingly good if carried out properly.

The second scenario would be the proxy marriage. This was actually a special case as both parties could get married without being present and only very few countries allowed this, including the country where Q City was. Since it's a special case, this would only be granted in selected circumstances but clearly, Han Meixiu didn't belong to any, unless she was deliberately appeared to fall in one of those conditions.

The last one was data manipulation which directly changes her record in the system. Though it might not sound easy because of the tight security, it's not entirely impossible if given an appropriate connection and no one would find out about the changed if no one would look.

Of course, there would also be a probability of the combination of those three scenarios.

The next question would be; which one did they use?

The answer would depend on the report Ye Ming would provide later on. Once he got them, a short trip to Q City would be needed to face whoever messed up his wife's record.

'Are they aware that she's out of the country? Do they know that she's already married and now under the protection of Liu Family?' Liu Zijian thought as a menacing smile appeared on his face making him emit a dangerous aura that rival a sexy demon king of the underworld.

If the answer in the first question was 'yes', then they did something with her travel record to appear that she went back. If no, then it's a favorable loophole he could use. Either way, he has a lot of room to maneuver to get the result he wanted.

Him marrying Han Meixiu wasn't made public thus the probability of the culprit finding out was indeed low.

Another question bugging him was why? Why her? Didn't the issue of her declining the marriage with that guy was resolved with Zhang Yu's interference? Did Zhang Yu know that this situation might happen that's why he asked for Liu Family's protection for Han Meixiu?

A meeting with the head of Zhang Family might be included to his trip in Q City.

He didn't actually plan to tell her not until he resolved the issue. It simply wasn't worth it.

In a time like this, Han Meixiu was missing her best friend more than ever. She wanted to discuss her theory and hear out Li Xioazhi's opinion. But since she's currently on training, she didn't have much of a choice but to delay and probably wait until the weekend.

She actually considered discussing it with Liu Zijian but she knew how busy he was thus she didn't want to add another burden to him. Besides, he might find it ridiculous. She didn't know but as much as possible she didn't want to inform him that she was investigating the whereabouts of her mother.

She sighed as she walked in a coffee shop. She wanted to drink tea to somewhat relax her mind. She was seriously planning to access the police CCTV recordings around the area but she hasn't tried a huge act like that in the past. She's not sure if she could get away freely if ever she tried. If she failed, the Liu family might be dragged down as well as her best friend. The disaster would be unimaginable.

As she sat down she released a long sigh. They would have dinner together at his place and she was diverting her mind on what she should prepare later. She's not really an excellent cook but she could make decent food. Right! She bought a cook book. Normally, she planned to study it together with Li Xiaozhi but she could definitely use it tonight.

Thinking that she should go back to her apartment to get it, she immediately changed her mind. She didn't want to take one single step back there, not until Li Xioazhi would be with her. She couldn't fight to defend herself if she saw someone roaming around. She couldn't even run long enough to escape without exhausting her stamina.

With this realization of how helpless and weak she was, she vowed to improve herself. She didn't like this kind of feeling.

In a dark room, a woman was tied up in bed. Violent bruises covered her entire body. Her voice was hoarse from shouting but still nobody was coming inside. Her tears had dried up as she trembled continuously wishing to wake up in this hellish state. She was in the room for god knows how long. She couldn't even identify anymore if it's day or night.

Wasn't she supposed to be enjoying her honeymoon? Why was she imprisoned the moment they arrived here? Why was she tortured? Why after all those years she was treated this way? She just obediently followed him. Was it really a big sin to dream to be by his side?

Inside the room just two floors above, a man was sitting peacefully as if waiting for an eternity when one of his men came in.

"Third Master Chen, what should we do with the woman? Should we still feed her? Last time she didn't eat."

"Keep her alive for now. She's still useful." Chen Dewei warmly answered with a slight smile on his face as if ready to have a photo-shoot for a popular women magazine.

"Understood." The man then walked out to carry out the order.

"Han Huang, you're already too old to handle the Han Family. You really think you could deceive me with a mere replica? You're really insulting me."
