Chapter 29: Conversations Between Kisses
(Beth’s POV)
“Shouldn’t you shower and wash the blood off of you first Anthony?” I ask, hoping he hadn’t already stained any of the clothes or sheets. You’d think that this won’t be a problem for me considering everything I’ve been through recently; however, blood is still blood and it can be incredibly messy and cause stains.
“Ugh,” Anthony groans into my shoulder, muscles tensing as he moves to sit up. “You’re right. I need a shower. I’ll be quick.”
He gets up and shuffles into the little bathroom and within five minutes he is returning in black bowers, skin still damp, and glistening with a few remaining water droplets.
“I’m clean. Can I come to bed now, your highness?” Anthony teases.
I roll my eyes and motion to the space next to me on the bed. “Do as you will.” I might as well just play along with him.
