(That's right...this is a remake.) A tired soul is chosen by God to become his warrior. R18 - If you see * in the chapter title, that means lemon. The next day was an off day. This meant that Alice didn't have any work or meetings scheduled. If she didn't have work, neither would he. It was a good thing since she hadn't woken up yet. The sun was already setting.
Sora rummaged through the bag of books until he found the one he wanted. He decided to spend the rest of the day lazing around. Regardless, he'd been trying to figure out how to utilize the divinity God gave him.
His mind seemed to go back to this whenever he had free time. It left him in a conundrum, wondering why it hadn't manifested. This was the current problem in his life.
'Oh well, I'll just keep it in the back of my mind.' He thought.
The sleepy man quickly threw on some warm clothes. A yawn escaped his lips in the process. Halfway out the door, he froze.
'No kiss, no hug?'
Alice's words from the previous day entered his mind. It seemed to make her feel secure. Turning back around, he approached the sleeping beauty. She was still lying face down without any clothes. Just as he'd left her.
He couldn't help but smile seeing the naked woman. His hands gently touched her feet, which made her entire body twitch unconsciously. It seems that her nerves were still sensitive due to his love tap.
His hands generated light, engulfing her in warmth. He then traced his finger all the way up to the back of her neck. Only then did the light die down. Sora gave her soft bottom a kiss.
Those actions alone meant something. As he made his way out, he could see the broken doll's body relaxing. It was as if her stiff joints and tense muscles were mellowing out.
Sora already knew where he wanted to spend his time. Before he did so, he made a pit stop at the kitchen. The maids were already cooking delicious food. They could obviously hear how wild Sora and Alice had been. It was a given that they'd be famished.
"Sir, we have your meal ready." A woman with long black hair and glasses spoke.
A tint of red could be seen on a few of the workers upon seeing the young butler. It was already common knowledge that his position wasn't much more than a title. With his supernatural looks, it wasn't surprising to get stared at.
"...Make sure to bring up a plate for the mistress. Send it in a few hours. The smell will wake her up." He ordered while grabbing a breakfast burrito.
"Yes, milord." She responded smartly. Sora smiled while walking away,
'Already calling me their Lord? Hm…' He thought.
Now that he had food in his other hand, his steps carried him to the far side of the manor. It didn't take long for him to reach a sliding glass door. An endless meadow of purple flowers revealed themselves.
Sora casually made his way into the garden. The place was beautiful, and it overlooked the city of Gotham. A single tree stood in the middle of the area. Its leaves were the same color as the flowers.
'They match Alice's eyes.' He thought.
His back rested against the tree as he sat down. As he unwrapped his breakfast burrito, he thought of his goals. What was he planning to do in this universe?
Nothing. He didn't have any lofty goals. There weren't any grand ideas. It was simple. Sora only wanted to do three things in this life. Relax, eat good food, and fight. It's not like he's a battle junkie. If God hadn't instilled a battle sense inside him, he may not have even cared about fighting. Sometimes it was just good to loosen up the body.
Women didn't seem to be a problem for him. He had a feeling that some interesting things would happen in the future. Hopefully without effort on his part.
Once he finished his food, he finally opened his book. Hours went by as he flipped through the pages. Some interesting concepts were now fresh in his head.
In this story, the main character gets a power up where he becomes the 'King of Searing Soul.' His aura was black which resembled the void. There was something extremely interesting about it, however. His power was still of the holy attribute.
It wasn't like a necromancer or evil demonic magic. By channeling the energy of millions of souls who died to an evil god, he became the 'guardian of life.' Sora couldn't help but wonder if he could do the same with the stars.
Sora was connected to every star in the highest realm, the infinite cosmos of God. There was bound to be something interesting. Maybe he could pull energy from something new.
'Let's give it a go.' He thought.
He crossed his legs and closed his eyes. Channeling the light through his body, he focused on that warm connection. It passively grew stronger every minute of the day. Eventually, an image of the cosmos popped into his mind.
Digging deeper, he focused on the stars that were newly formed. Each of them were full of life. They greeted him with a gentle brush of energy. There was something there, but Sora couldn't put his finger on it.
More time passed as he pondered on this weird feeling. What was it? His connection grew incredibly strong as he meditated. It was increasing much faster than normal.
"Each and every one of my stars began as nothing…They all come from the same place, my son." A voice resounded in Sora's mind. It was God, or Lucius…or Morgan. He was guiding the young warrior.
'...I think I've got it!' Sora thought.
The image moved until it stopped on a dying star. This celestial body reached out to Sora as if saying it's goodbyes. The light erupted, spreading across the vast expanse of space. But where did it go? Where did the light actually go?
"Null. The strength that exists to give birth to life!" He'd found his answer.
Suddenly, the son of God could feel a massive source of energy. It was everywhere. Seemingly in all places, but it couldn't be seen. He gently pulled on this new source of power.
The white pigments in his hair faded away, becoming an astral black without gravity. His irises turned black with an eerie blue dot for his pupils. Silent black flames rose from his body, dancing in a ghastly manner. Sora's light had become purely black, with white specks that resembled the universe.
'This feels…weird.' He thought.
His face had become a blank slate as if he was only a machine. A side effect of null, perhaps. Regardless, he wanted to test out his powers immediately. He felt like he could do much more.
Right before taking off, he stopped. What if he got lost? He wouldn't know how to control his speed until he tried at least once. What if it wasn't immediately perfect? Sora realized this and tried to think of a way to stay grounded.
"Maybe I can create something with my divinity. Hopefully I can feel the connection." He muttered.
But what would he make? Since it's his first try, it should be something easy. He was going to solidify his divine light, after all. Only a few nanoseconds went by when an image popped into his head.
An ankle bracelet. The same one that Alice would always wear. It had his name on it. This didn't seem like the optimal choice, but it's what stuck in his mind. So much for something easy.
Sora opened his hand while concentrating. Black flames congregated onto his palm, and the delicate bracelet took form. In reality, this happened in under a second. Normal people would only see an item pop into existence.
"It works. I can feel the energy inside of it." He exclaimed.
After dropping it onto the grass, he beamed into space. Sora instantly realized how smart he'd been to create that bracelet. That single movement had sent him out of the galaxy. Where the hell was he now?
It was okay. He could feel the connection to the bracelet. He'd be fine. The divine being leaned forward and vanished. He was instantly accelerating at hyperspeed. Planets flew by in droves. Millions of them. Sora increased his speed to the maximum.
Immediately, everything slowed down. Each planet turned into a trillion streaks of color that seemed never ending. It felt like he was moving through a tube. The streaks grew larger, until it was the only thing Sora could see.
'If I enter one of these, where will I end up?' He thought.
These lines didn't feel as simple as entering a new galaxy. It felt like he wouldn't be able to return. It wasn't wrong to say that these lines might be different universes. That's how fast he was moving.
Honestly, that was enough. His light may be infinite but his divinity wasn't. Sora let go of the gas and coasted through space. The huge streaks of light eventually became planets again. Only then did he feel like it was safe to stop.
Sora focused on the connection to determine his way back. Once he returned, he picked up the bracelet. Only 15 minutes had passed on Earth. Not bad.
