Chapter 43: Worst Day to Invade!... Part 2

[AN: For those that are worried that since the chapter was cut in half that this chapter is going to be short, have no fear cuz it has 6000+ words.]

[Third Person's Point of View]

Today signaled an important event as the founding members of Justice League were in front of the Hall of Justice waiting for the remaing U.N members that were selected to visit the Watch Tower. Naturally due to this being a public event, as that would be needed to regain the trust of the mass, there was a lot of press present.

There were also a lot of civilains and tourist that came to see it happen. Due to this being a public event, the League had not dismissed the thought of villains taking this chance to attack them directly or commit crimes in the cities that were home to the foundings members.

This is why many leaguers were stationed on said cities as well as around the Hall of Justice. The Team had also been tasked to help with the security. Acnologia was not thrilled about this because it showed a sign of weakness from the Justice League to the opinions that the mass had of them.

Still, that did not mean that he would do anything about it because at the end of the day it had nothing to do with him persay. It was the Justice League's problem and they would be the ones to decide how to solve said problem. 

Even though watching the event unfollowed with the U.N members arriving and shaking the hands of some of the foundings members, excluding Batman, was akin to watching a romance movie when you prefer actions packed movie for Acnologia, he did not lower his guard.

He stayed vigilant and with his vast arrays of abilities, he would be able to detected any attack around before anyone else, including the attacker, thanks to his Future Sight granted to him via his Observation Haki.

This was one of the reason why Batman insisted on having the Team present for today's event much to Aquaman's initial refusal. Aquaman initially refused because today was none other than the late Queen Atlanna's death anniversary.

From his words, Acnologia was usually grumpy on that day and one of the last thing he wanted was a U.N members ticking Acnologia off and the event ending with Acnologia turning said U.N member into a vegetable.

During days leading to today, Aquaman would be lying if he said that he did not have nightmares that started like that and ended with Atlantis going to war with the Surface World. Aquaman eventually agreed when Batman stated that they would only need the Team until the U.N members are brought to the Watch Tower... which was about to happen until Acnologia signalled all the Leaguers.

"Evacuate the Hall, Now! A force field is going to entrap it as soon as everyone enters the building."

Seeing as how public and how important this event was, the founding members had unanimously agreed that the safety of everyone present would be the top most priority, above their public image, which is why upon hearing Acnologia's warning, the founding members wasted no time.

Amisdt the confusion of the U.N members, who were the only ones that needed to be evacuated, the founding members started to place them with the crowd that had gathered and as G. Gordon Godfrey watched this, he thought to himself.

'What in the fiery pits of Apokolips is happening here?! This is not how its supposed to go!! Oh well, good thing there is always plan B.'

He took out a small device from his pocket as the founding members were still trying to evacuate the U.N members that were too stuborn to listen to them thinking that the League was going back on the concensus that was made.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

Godfrey pressed the button which caused five red beams of light shot through the sky after five explosions were heard and the ground shook. Each of those five red beams were right next to the Hall of Justice

The foundings members started to strangely feel weak, that feeling was shared to everyone that was close to the red beams of light. Very few people had the chance to see those five red beams rapidly sending a thin red energy sheet to each other, entrapping those that were within the newly formed barrier.

*Clap*

Seeing this, Acnologia unconsciously clapped his hands and as he did that, everyone within the red Barrier, founding members and remaining U.N members included, found themselves outside of the Barrier while Acnologia found himself inside.

Acnologia was the first to be surprise of what just happen. Before he could even speak, the red barrier started to glow and his Observation Haki picked up on that before saw what it was going to do. Upon seeing the future, Acnologia could only say one thing.

"You got to be kidding me!"

As he said that, the red energy barrier glowed so brightly that no one could see the other side of it and it rapidly shrank onto itself making the Hall of Justice and Acnologia disapear. Everyone was shocked at what they saw but before anyone could say anything, explosion were heard in the sky.

A series of holes each made of a geometric assembly of light could be seen forming into the sky with a large explosive sound preceding each hole's formation. There were a dozen of boom tubes being opened in the sky.

The heroes had no time to process what had just happened or was happening as a legion of armored humanoid monsters flew out of each hole and started causing havoc. Seeing the danger they posed, the heroes leap to protect the innocent while trying to figure out where the Hall of Justice and Acnologia had gone to.

As the heroes fought the horde of green-armored humanoid creatures introduced as Parademons by Hal Jordan, they were instantly informed by the leaguers up on the Watch Tower that what was happening around them was also happening around the World.

This was a worldwide invasion but this shocking news did not stop the heroes in their tracks, they fought the horde of Parademons and protected the civilians that had come for the now-canceled event. The police that was there also helped with what they could.

Things were going as well as they could given the situation until a couple of citizens, from the crowd who were protected by Green Lantern's construct, took something from their pocket which could only be described as a futuristic gun, for those that had the luxury to pay attention to a random citizen within a crowd.

The citizens waited until numerous Parademons had latched themselves onto the dome, made of willpower, and almost succeeded in breaking said dome. Superman along with Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman had swooped in and punched the Parademons away from the dome.

Seeing that the dome was cracked and the heroes had their backs turned on them, the citizen in question knew that this was the moment they had been waiting for, they aimed their guns at the heroes' back and before the dome's crack was fully fixed, they fired their guns.

Energy beams and Kryptonite bullets were shot at the three heroes' backs and due to their focusing on the Parademons in front of them, they did not notice the attacks until it was far too late. In their defense, nobody would normally think that the ones, who you are protecting, would shoot you.

The shots landed and injured the three heroes before the Parademons they were facing lunged at them further injuring them. Superman had two bullet holes on his back, both close to his heart and one of the two bullets damaged his right lung.

He seemed to be half-choking on his own blood when a legion of Parademons swarmed him. He had difficulty moving with the pain of having two bullet made of Kryptonite in him, especially with how close they were to his heart and how the mere presence of Kryptonite caused him excruciating pain. 

'Can't stop or else a lot of people will get hurt and even die! Fight through the pain Clark! Fight through it!'

Superman thought as he mustered as much force as he could within his self-imposed limit in his fists and proceeded to punch the legion of Parademons off of him and send whatever was still attached together flying.

Martian Manhunter was hit by three energy beams that scorched his Martian flesh and that moment of unexpected pain caused his durability to lower due to Martian's abilities being reliant on their mind.

As an experienced fighter, he could steel his mind to regain his durability in a matter of an instant, sadly for him, the Parademons near him were faster than him due to being mindless killing machines that would not stop unless incapacitated or ordered to do so by the right person.

*GROANS*

The Parademons tore into his Martian flesh causing him to groan in pain before he steeled his mind, regaining his durability and telekinetically crushing the Parademons that had injured him. As for Wonder Woman, having also been hit by three energy beams that scorched her flesh, she was wounded.

However, unlike Martian Manhunter, she was able to instantly fight the Parademons that had attacked her in her moment of weakness and she also managed to defeat them albeit at the cost of a serious wound on her left arm.

"KAL-EL!!!"

"UNCLE J'ONN!!!"

Supergirl and Miss Martian screamed as they saw those events unfold in front of their eyes before being shocked that currently, the three heroes had just fended off the Parademons exactly how they did before they were shot in the back.

They had seen the imminent future thanks to the Symbiote, that Acnologia had given them, granting them access to Haki albeit this ability still not completely under their control. Without even saying anything else, Kara lunged at her cousin.

'Uncle J'onn look out!'

While Kara lunged at her cousin, Miss Martian sent a telepathy message with what she had seen. Although Surprised, Martian Manhunter wasted no time and docked while moving Wonder Woman out of the way with his telekinesis.

"Kara?! What are you-"

Superman said but stopped midway through his sentence when he heard and saw the eight shots being fired at where he along with Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter were just a second ago.

As much as the other heroes wanted to know what was going on the horde of Parademons did not allow most the luxury of looking away for even an instant. The three mentors and Mentees along with Green Lantern were left to watch as some police officers managed to restrain those who had just shot at them.

"GLORY TO DARKSEID! GLORY TO ANTI-LIFE!"

"GLORY TO DARKSEID! GLORY TO ANTI-LIFE!"

"GLORY TO DARKSEID! GLORY TO ANTI-LIFE!"

"GLORY TO DARKSEID! GLORY TO ANTI-LIFE!"

That was all the shooters kept saying. Those people were Justifiers, the members of the cult that had been started and spearheaded by none other than G. Gordon Godfrey who had enough of things not going according to the plan.

As Flash returned from wherever he had brought the citizens he had evacuated so far, G. Gordon Godfrey began to speak as the latter pressed a button. As he did so, a boom tube appeared where the hall of Justice used to be.

*BOOM*

"I hear you, right thinkers! You're shouting anti-life-- the positive belief! Listen, as the great organ catches your words and finds the wonderful music in them! And what am I, Glorious Godfrey, but another poor instrument that vibrates to your message?

And I say, come to me! And I shall give you the power to wield death! Yes, friends, though life is ever filled with those who threaten us, it is anti-life which gives us the power to eliminate them! The holocaust is coming! The day of Apokolips on Earth! The day of Darkseid, who brin- ARGH!"

Midway through what looked like a long speech, Flash ran toward G. Gordon Godfrey and punched him dozens if not a hundred times at super speed, he then turned to look at his colleagues and asked with a barely hidden joyful tone.

"Please tell me that I read the situation right and Godfrey is with the invaders thus a bad guy that had to be punched in the face thirty times."

"If you are going to ask that question then you should at least hide that grin on your face."

Green Lantern retorted with a tone filled with Jealousy though the playful banter stopped there as more than half of the citizens that they were protecting started yelling the same thing as the shooters.

Luckily for the heroes, police officers, and innocent civilians, Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian used their telepathy to put those who were presumed to be mind-controlled at the moment to sleep.

"So that loudmouth Godfrey finally got his teeth caved in while mid-speech. Just seeing his face right now almost makes me want to offer everyone here the mercy of a quick death... Almost."

As the citizens under the green dome were about to celebrate, everyone heard a heavy voice. speak. Those that could, either because there were no more Parademons near them or because they were under the green dome, looked and saw who had just spoken.

It was a towering man dressed in full-body heavy armor with said armor being mostly black or grey and a bit of red and navy blue here and there. He had a belt buckle that looked like a red skull and his helmet had crimson blood-red horns that pointed down.

He wielded a large axe with his right hand. He looked around and seemed surprised that all founding members of the Justice League were still on Earth. He scoffed while looking back at Godfrey lying on the ground, currently unconscious then spoke with contempt.

"Of course, you had to not only get yourself knocked out but also ruin fucking plan!"

He gave the founding members another glance as he thought to himself.

'Still, if the leaders of the Justice League are here then who did you send away? I don't believe for a second that loudmouth would be foolish enough to use the specially made Boom Tube Barrier only to send no one to Kalibak and Grayven.'

This man was none other than Steppenwolf, an Apokoliptian general and a member of Darkseid's Elite. Steppenwolf decided to take his Father Box and see what was going on on the Kalibak and Grayven's side.

The original plan was to send the founding members along with the U.N members to a separate and closed-off dimension where Kalibak and Grayven, both sons of Darkseid, would be waiting for them with a legion of Parademon and an atmosphere that would weaken them as time went on.

His role upon arrival was to use his Father Box which had been modified to allow it to broadcast what was happening in said closed-off dimension, in order to show the Earth how their so-called heroes would fare and have their spirit crushed when the founding members would be defeated.

While the broadcast was ongoing, Steppenwolf joined the battle, defeating as many enemies as he could. If the battle had not been won yet then he would capitalized on the wavering spirit of Earth's protectors once they witnessed the founding members of the League being defeated.

He was also tasked to take care of the Watch Tower and ensure that the leaguers' communication with each other would be severed midst of battle to create greater chaos which would aid the Parademons in defeating powerful individuals through sheer number and moment of distraction.

He used his Father Box to broadcast what was going on in the closed-off dimension as it was the only way to know what was going on in there due to it being a closed-off dimension. Upon seeing what was going on, Steppenwolf could only do one thing and that was to shout.

"WHAT?!"

"ARGH!"

The various heroes present, not being idiots, capitalized on his shock and guard being lowered to attack him. With the combined might of Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Miss Martian adding the factor of the surprise attack, Steppenwolf was dealt with quickly.

Upon Steppenwolf being defeated and seeing no Parademons in sight, the citizens thought that the battle had been won and the day was saved but the heroes knew better as the Watch Tower had informed them that towers had sprouted out of nowhere around the globe.

Each of those towers produced an army of Parademons and even when one was destroyed, it would rebuild itself in a matter of seconds. Suffice to say that the battle had only begun. Now some may wonder why Steppenwolf was shocked and to understand that one must turn back time and look at things from a different perspective.

Acnologia found himself in place that was akin to a canyon with the Hall of Justice behind him and a legions of Parademons in front of him, lead by two tall man, both with grey-ish skin and gold plated armor though one was lean and taller while the other big and had hair akin to a lion's mane.

The one with hair akin to a lion's mane was called kalibak, he was Darkseid's first born and he wielded a battle axe that had a hole on its eye that made it look like it could shoot laser while the other who was lean was called Grayven and he held in his right arm a modified Father Box.

Acnologia noticed behind the legion of Parademons was a futuristic tower that kept creating more and more Parademons. He also noticed that there was a red mist in atmosphere around them and guessed that its purpose was to weaken its intended targets.

Grayven and Kalibak seemed taken aback that it was only Acnologia that was here instead of the Justice League founders and the U.N members that would have needed their protection but that surprise soo turned into joy as Kalibak spoke.

"Godfrey has outdone himself this time. Instead of sending us the leaders of the so-called Justice League, he sent us the main target of Apokolips' invasion."

Grayven seemed to looked down on Acnologia as the latter had done thing but stare at them since he arrive then he spoke with a condescending tone.

"Listen up, Atlantean child! You are outnumbered and outmatched but since I, Grayven son of Darkseid, am feeling generous I will show you mercy if you surrender now and bow down."

Still Acnologia looked at them and did not say a single word not because he was afraid but because he was busy. He was using his shadow and ability to warp space to make his shadow eat the tower that was creating Parademons.

He was also using his illusion abilities to prevent Gayven and Kalibak from noticing. He did not have to worry about the Parademons because it was obvious at first glance that they would remain still unless ordered. Acnologia was clearing out the biggest nuissance before he began to fight.

Upon arriving here he had noticed that his Alchemy had temporarly been sealed and this was due to what he had unconciously did, saving the founding members and U.N personnel from getting trapped here.

[AN: Had to find a reason why he would not use Alchemy straight out of the bag cuz for those that know it, you know how broken it is and I did promise fight and actions which would not be possible while remaining within Acnologia's character if he could one shot them.]

From his point of view, the fact that his alchemy was temporarly sealed did drastically weaken him but that did not mean that he was defenseless. Once the tower had completely been eaten by his shadow, Acnologia decided to target the hord of Parademons.

He unleased his Conqueror's Haki which caused all the Parademons present to fall down to the ground in an almost unison fashion. Grayven and Kalibak seemed shocked at the sight of Parademons dropping like flies and Acnologia rushed at them.

Before either brother realized it, Acnologia appeared in front of Grayven with his fists mere inches away from the New God's stomach. Acnologia used his shadow to slash Grayven's hand and steal the Father Box that said hand was holding along with it.

*SLASH*

"AHHH-"

'Rokugan Ogi: Poseidon's Wrath!'

"ARGH!"

Acnologia thought without missing a beat as a devastating shock wave shot from his knuckles and hit Grayven's stomach causing him to stop screaming as some blood came out of his mouth before being sent towards the Horizon.

Kalibak watched as his brother's hand still holding the modified Father Box, their only way out of here, fell into Acnologia's shadow as if it was some puddle or lake. He then looked Acnologia straight in the eyes before he swung his Battle Axe towards the youn Atlantean.

*WHAM!*

Kalibak then saw Acnologia lying on the ground unconscious. He was taken aback but hit the young Atlantean a couple of times before determining that Acnologia had passed out. He laughed at his victory and thought that he had overestimated his oponent's strength.

Kalibak then saw his brother shamefully coming back. He chided his little brother for letting his guard down before a Boom Tube open before them. A tall figure emerged from the Boom Tube, wearing dark blu armor with a red omega symbol on it.

He had an imposing aura, his eyes emaneted power and his skin that looked like stone. Upon seeing them, both brother knelt down and spoke in unison.

"Father."

This imposing being who walked toward the unconscious Acnologia was none other than Darkseid. He picked Acnologia up and observed him for a couple of seconds before he turned to look at Kalibak and spoke.

"This Atlantean does indeed possess the means to acquire the Anti-Life Equation... Well done Kalibak. I am *WHAM!* of you."

"What?"

Although Kalibak was happy that his Father praised him he could not help but to mutter something as he did not clearly hear what Darkseid had just said at the end. Surprisingly, Darkseid wore a carring smile and simply repeated what he said.

"I am *WHAM!* of you."

'Wait a moment, how can Father be here when Grayven's Father Box was the only way in and out of this dimensio- Ah... I see.'

Kalibak widden his eyes as he thought to himself. He had finally understood what was going on. This, by the way, is what Steppenwolf had seen and shocked him... Not Darkseid comming because as Kalibak realized, what he was seeing was an illusion.

To understand what happen, one must go back to when Kalibak attack and see things outside Kalibak's perspective. When Kalibak swung his axe, Acnologia dodged the attack then used his right hand to grab Kalibak's wrist which belong to the hand that held the latter's Battle Axe.

He then twisted it clockwise a little then used his left hand to hit Kalibak's forearm causing the latter to drop his Battle Axe. He let go of Kalibak's wrist then folded his left hand into a fist before punching Kalibak's face.

*WHAM!*

As Kalibak was about to fly off due to the punch, Acnologia used his left hand, which had punched Kalibak to grab the latter's right arm before Acnologia raised his right arm diagonally then proceeded to swing his right hand down to chop Kalibak's neck.

*CHOP*

Acnologia let go of Kalibak's arm and used his left hand to punch Kalibak's face once more causing the latter's nose to start bleeding. Acnologia then punch Kalibak's gut with his right hand then his left hand before uppercutting him with his right hand sending Kalibak in the air with a spray of blood and saliva.

*WHAM!*

*WHAM!*

Acnologia altered gravity to bring Kalibak back to him before he launched a left hook followed by a right then a left then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right.

*WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!*

He lifted his right leg to deliver a kick to Kalibak's chin then downward kicked Kalibak's head with the same leg. Acnologia resumed to send a left hook then a right then a left then a right then a left then a right.

*WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!*

This is what Steppenwolf had witnessed, Acnologia dogging Kalibak to the point that the latter was hallucinating his deepest desire while preventing him from even screaming in pain. Acnologia stopped wrecking Kalibak's face due to what he saw in the near future and he vanished from where he was.

*FZZZZZ*

"ARGH!"

Just as he vanished, two laser beams flew to where Acnologia was just a moment ago before the space around the beams was distorted and caused those two beams to hit Kalibak. Grayven soon came into view as he landed near his battered older Brother before yelling.

"Where is that little shit?!"

He was gritting his teeth and his eyes glowed red. He was the one that had sent those two laser beams, called Omega Beams something he had inherited from his father. He did not seem to care about his brother's state, he only look at where his right hand used to be and became more angry.

Meanwhile, up above both brothers, Acnologia could be seen cocking his right arm back as it vibrated for a fraction of a second before a sort of bubble formed around his right hand. His right hand then started to turn dark before black lightning started to crackle around it.

Acnologia had infused his fist with advanced Busoshoku Haki and Haoshoku Haki after creating a quake bubble around his fist. He wore a rarely seen smile on his face and those that saw it back on Earth could not help but to feel some measure of pity towards the clueless brothers that were the target of his attack. 

*Crackling*

'Gekishin Impact!'

*Crack*

Acnologia thought as he threw punch in front of him with his right hand. The air in front of him was cracked, causing a series of massively powerful shockwaves to head towards where his right fist was facing.

*BOOOOOOM*

Upon contact with its target and the ground, an enormous radius was formed due to the impact, devastating anything in its range, which tore the ground apart along with the brothers that noticed the attack far too late.

They now lay bloodied inside a giant crator as Acnologia decended from the sky. Something came out of his shadow as he picked it up, it was his Trident. Acnologia had taken out his trident because even though there was smoke obscuring the Brother's image, he had sensed them getting back up.

"You bastard!"

*TANG*

Kalibak yelled after he jumped and swung his battle axe towards Acnologia. The latter simply used his trident to block the battle axe before tilting said trident to his right causing Kalibak's Battle Axe to slide down.

*WHAM!*

"ARGH!"

Acnologia then continued to tilt his trident until dug it into the ground and used it as a levarage while he jumped and side kicked Kalibak's face so hard that caused the latter to be sent flying after he dropped his battle Axe to the ground which Acnologia picked before using it to block Grayven's Omegan Beams.

*FZZZZZ*

After he blocked the Omega Beams, Acnologia charged toward Grayven at blinding speed, swinging Kalibak's battle axe horizontally, with one hand, to strike Grayven with devastating force as he had infused Kalibak's Battle Axe with advanced Busoshoku Haki and before coating it with his Haoshoku Haki.

'Raimei Hakke!'

*Crack*

"ARGH!"

Acnologia said to himself as the blunt part of Kalibak's Battle Axe hit Grayven's head causing it to make some cracking noises before Grayven groaned in pain. Acnologia had no plans to kill either brother... at least not for now.

While he waited for Grayven to get back up and while he sensed Kalibak rushing back, Acnologia used his shadow to stab every Parademons present at the same time, whether destroyed by his attacks or still intact did not matter only that his shadow stabbed them.

His shadow stabbed the last Parademons as Grayven stood back up. As soon as he arrived, Kalibak jumped then send a punch towards Acnologia from behind while trying to make the least amount of noise. Acnologia weave Kalibak's attack by ducking to the side.

'Seems like my beating made him smarter.'

*WOOSH*

"LET GO OF ME THIS INSTEAD YOU- WOW!?"

Acnologia thought to himself before he grabbed Kalibak, who was still in the air, by his leg then proceeded to spin around a little bit before letting go of him which send Kalibak, midway through his sentence, towards Grayven's direction.

*WHAM!*

"ARGH!"

Acnologia then rushed at Grayven who send a punch but Acnologia weaved it then kneed him on his chin, knocking the spit out of the New God's mouth as he fell backwards, before using Grayven's face as a trampoline to jump towards the flying Kalibak to deliver an axe kick that sent him crashing to the ground.

*WHAM!*

"ARGH!"

*CRASH*

*BOOM*

Acnologia then wrap space while increasing his weight through manipulating gravity around him to fall onto Grayven. The impact caused the ground to crack once more.

*BOOM*

"ARGH!"

Unfortunately for the two brothers, Acnologia was not done as he stepped Grayven's face just as the latter was about to shoot Omega Beams with his eyes.

"AHHH!"

Grayven screamed when the shock of Omega Beams was reflected onto him. This was due to Acnologia coating his feet with Haki along with how close they were to Grayven's eyes. While Grayven struggled to move Acnologia's feet from his face, he felt it getting heavier.

Acnologia increased the gravity around both his feet, one which was on Grayven's face and the other that was on Grayven's stomach. Acnologia then altered the gravity around his feet to drag Grayven through the ground towards Kalibak as if the New God was some surfboard.

As soon as Kalibak stood up, he was greeted by Acnologia's punch straight to his gut which caused him to spit out some blood.

*WHAM!*

"ARGH!"

As Kalibak was once more sent flying, Acnologia leap toward him to knee him to the face before grabbing his face then alter gravity around himself to instantly pile driving Kalibak head first into the ground.

*BOOM*

Acnologia then walked up to Grayven who was struggling to stand back up. He proceed to front kick the New God in the stomach before having said New God kiss his kneecap by kneeing him in the nose.

*WHAM!*

*WHAM!*

"ARGH!"

Acnologia then teleported himself near the Hall of Justice or whatever was left of it then sat down as he looked at the two New Gods who were getting up. He smirked before snapping his fingers and all the Parademons that were on the ground stood back up on their feet.

"Like a soon to be broken buffoon once said... You are outnumbered and outmatched but since I am feeling generous I will show you mercy if you surrender now and bow down."

Acnologia spoke as the pair of brother were stunned to see that all the Parademons, even those that had been damaged by their fight... if you could call it a fight, were in tip top shape and seemed to be obeying Acnologia's command.

"*Scoff* You dare *Huff* ask a son of Darkseid *Huff* to bow down *Huff* and surrender. We would rather die then surrender to you!"

Kalibak scoffed followed by Grayven yelling as his vision had finally and completely returned to him.

"Know you place *Huff* Atlantean-"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Grayven's yells were interupted by Acnologia's laughter before the latter spoke.

"I think there is a misunderstanding here. You both will die, no doubt about it. What I mean by mercy is the degree of pain which you will endure as you die. Still, I am in an even more good mood because you refused my mercy and-"

Acnologia stopped for a second as his facial expression became cold, he stared at the two new Gods as if they were simply pebbles then resumed right as the Parademons attacked them.

"I have no more reason not to put you to better use."

In the next fifteen minutes, Kalibak and Grayven fought the horde of Parademons. Althought they were injured by being fought by Acnologia and part of their pride had been beaten out of them, they were still the sons of Darkseid and they managed to beat every single Parademons.

"Congratualion on defeating those fodder."

Acnologia said as he brought his right hand up, reaching out to somewhere, when his Trident came flying back to him and he grabbed it. Acnologia then pointed his Trident at the two New Gods and as it started shining with a ball of concentrated energy forming in front of the Trident's head, Acnologia spoke.

"Here a gold star to cheer you guys up."

*SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!* *SHLUKK!*

"ARGH!"

As the two New Gods were about to evade, Acnologia's Shadow found itself near them and skewer both of their body before they yelled in unison. Acnologia's Shadow had immobilized them and they could do nothing as he fired a beam of energy made of the channeled energy of a star at them.

*BOOOM!*

"About time."

Acnologia said as he witness the two New Gods receiving the full might of his attack and the heat of the explosion scorching their flesh but that was not why he had said that. What he meant by it was that his Alchemy had returned.

The first thing he did after regaining his Alchemy was to take out the Father Box from his Shadow inventory then used his Alchemy to upgrade his Trident at the cost of said Father Box. After that was done, he walked towards the still breathing New Gods and clapped his hands together.

*CLAP*

"You know what I think is funny... Most people that try to kill or hurt someone else are not ready for that someone else to do to them what they were going to do which to me is hilarious."

Acnologia said smirking as Kalibak and Grayven could only grunt in pain and send him hate glares. Not minding them, Acnologia continued.

"I mean, if you guys are going to invade someone's planet then the least you can do is prepare yourself to also be invade."

Acnologia brought his hands on their heads then added.

"FYI, you guys picked the worst day to invade cuz today is the day where I have the least amount of restrain... to do this."

*Crackle*

*ZZZZT*

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

As Acnologia's hand made contact on the two New God's heads, red eletricity started to course through them as they screamed in pain. At some point, the red eletricity became so bright that it painted the suroundings with the same color.

This continued for five minutes in which Kalibak and Grayven immediatly started to begging for them lives before pleading Acnologia to make the pain stop but he did no such things. A crackling sound mixed with that of pixelation could be heard as electricity flowed throughout their body.

Through all of this, Acnologia could be seen smiling while his eyes were covered though one could see two red dots where his eyes should be. Once the five minutes were up, Kalibak and Grayven's body started to crumbled and disipate via dozens of equally sized white rectangles.

In the place, where they once were, was two crimson blood red stone which were instantly eaten by Acnologia's Shadow. At the same time, the Parademons that were defeated by Kalibak and Grayven stood back up though they now had black goo starting to envelop them.

*ROAR*

In no time, each Parademon's appearance changed, some had black wings, other hand sharp fangs or claws, most had weapons and each Parademons now looked more fearsome, savage and dangerous then they did before. Acnologia pointed his newly upgraded Trident in front of him.

*BOOM*

As a Boom Tube appeared in front of him, he slowly walked towards the Boom tube while his newly upgraded Parademons seemed to become restless. As Acnologia's eye glowed crimson red, he looked at them and spoke with an excited and bloodthirsty smile.

"Go and Destroy any opposing force on Apokolips!"

*ROAR*

The horde of newly upgraded Parademons roared in unison before they rushed through the Boom Tube which was lead to Apokolips.

P.S. There is a strong chance that there is not going to be a chapter next week because I am mostly going to be reviewing your comment and see what I should improve and add to this fic, action and fight wise. If there is a chapter next week then it probably not going to be Acnologia.
