Chapter 2807: Star Core Rescue (End)

In an endless mysterious void, three gigantic golden heads appeared; they were the three facets of the Court of Life, representing Justice, Need, and Vengeance, respectively.

Beneath the heads, the vast golden bodies became the ground of the Court, where the true forms of the five Abstract Entities were positioned. On the left were Star Eater and Oblivion, on the right were Death and Infinity, and directly facing the three giant heads was Eternity.

In the bottom left corner of the golden body, or the northeast of the Court, sat the jury, the majority of whom were powerful beings from various Multiverses who controlled a portion of the cosmic rules, with a few at the Omnipotent Universal Level. In the bottom right were the seats for witnesses anxiously awaiting their summons – the power levels of those seated varied, but most were relevant to the current incident.

In the last thousand years, the Court of Life had not convened with such grandeur. After all, the Court itself possessed the absolute ruling power over the Omni Universe. It served as both the Judgment Chief and prosecutor, able to complete all legal processes single-handedly without the need for hearings or trials.

But this time was clearly an exceptional case. The disaster known as the 'Trashy Film Nightmare' had swept across the entire Omni Universe, and the source of this disaster was not so easily judged. This time, the Court had consulted with its ultimate boss before setting the tone for the trial.

In general, it was fair, just, and transparent. The plaintiffs were the Universe administrators, represented by the five Abstract Entities, accusing Shiller of jeopardizing the stability of the Omni Universe by spreading the 'Trashy Film Nightmare.' Shiller was summoned to the trial to present evidence of his innocence. The Court of Life, as the Adjudicator, would listen to both sides and make an impartial judgment, publicly announcing the verdict to all victims in the Omni Universe.

Shiller arrived promptly, virtually as soon as the Court had set up. Eternity breathed a sigh of relief down below. Thank goodness the man hadn't resisted showing up; otherwise, it really would have been troublesome.

But who was the person following behind him? Everyone was thinking this. Was he Shiller's bodyguard or attorney?

Wait a minute, that style of dress, those fangs, that maniacal laughter... the uncovered face at the forefront of the Court of Life widened its eyes and frantically started messaging the ultimate boss backstage.

Help, a shitstain has sneaked in!

But now it was indeed a bit late to make this discovery; Shiller had already arrived, and his face had been seen by everyone present, pretty much ensuring that copyright fees were due.

Wait, could this all be Shiller's conspiracy? The Abstract Entities exchanged glances with one another, the more they thought about it, the more they felt it likely was because we brought him to the Court, he simply decided, if we're going to do it, let's go all the way and invite everyone to eat shit, displaying utter malice!

But with matters having progressed to this point, they had no choice but to proceed with the trial regardless. Eternity, serving as the deputy Judgment Chief, pointed Shiller to the defendant's seat. Shiller walked over and sat down with composure, exchanging a glance with the AI Iron Man seated in the witness area.

Eternity cleared his throat and said, "We won't waste words then. Shiller, you are surely aware of why you have been called here today. To be frank, as for those little stunts you pulled in your Individual Universe and throughout the Multiverse, we could overlook them, but this time, the disturbance has been far too great; it has already caused substantial harm to the stability of the Omni Universe, so we must bring you to trial."

It sounded like a threat, but it was more like a reminder, basically saying, if you hadn't caused such a big commotion, we wouldn't be keen to trouble you.

After all, it was clear from a few trials that this peculiar psychologist had some murky and ambiguous relations with the ultimate boss, and even deeper ones with the neighbor's boss. As long as he wasn't too excessive, nobody wanted the nuisance of dealing with such a well-connected person.

Eternity desperately hinted that as long as you bow your head and assure that there won't be a next time, we'll just downplay the whole issue, perhaps sentence you to Multiverse imprisonment, and you can just stay in your little corner, assured that no one will bother you.

Who would have known that Shiller stiffened his neck and protested, "I object! This is completely framing an innocent person! I didn't do this!"

"Keep your voice down!" Eternity said, "Be careful or you'll be charged with bellowing in the Court! Now, repeat after me, did you or did you not do this?"

He felt that he had given Shiller enough face already. Now the evidence was right there in the open, yet you still want to recant in court? Really makes one think that banishment to an Individual Universe would suffice, right?

Wait, he had indeed been exiled before. Damn it, why didn't the ultimate boss throw him further away last time, perhaps stick him to the neighbor's wall?

"I'm telling you, I didn't do this," Shiller declared forcefully. "Not only did I not do it, but I am also a victim. I too have suffered from personality trait reset due to the spreading of the 'Trashy Film Nightmare' in dreams. I demand compensation from you Universe administrators!"

All the Abstract Entities widened their eyes, and even the jury began murmuring among themselves. Was this man crazy, or what? Setting aside whether or not you did it, just look around at all these demons and ghosts – you're asking them for compensation?

Shiller continued unabated, clutching his chest in distress, "I'm just a regular psychiatrist with diagnosed spectrum solitary disorder; my mental state isn't like that of ordinary people. And now you Universe administrators have neglected your duties, allowing the dreamscape to be invaded, causing great mental harm to me. I demand that you provide compensation for my psychological distress!"
