Chapter 26

“Good. Then I’ll say ta ta for now. It’s been ever so lovely meeting you all.”

With that, he flounced out the door.

Once he left the men looked at each other for a second and then everyone, except Brad, broke into laughter.

“He really is a flamer, isn’t he?” Andy commented.

“He’s a bit of a fem,” Hank said, “but…damn…I never saw ’im act like this before. He’s a hell of a good rider though. I’m really happy with what he did with Tango today. I guess we can overlook some of the campy stuff.”

Brad didn’t know what to say.

After a time of visiting, Andy and David indicated their wish to go to their hotel. Hank protested just as Brad had, but in the end, the dads took the SUV and headed into town to check in, saying they’d be back in time for the New Year’s Eve party that night.

After they left, despite Ted still being there, Brad blurted out, “Why do you always defend him?”

“What?” Hank said. “Defend who?”
