Potential Danger

Nyx can be seen sitting in front of the cat while his paw was glowing a faint blue while buzzing in a faint sound; while Echo sat on the couch watching while eating the rest of his pizza.

After a few seconds, Nyx took away his paw.

"How is it?" Asked after taking a bite of pizza.

"He'll live. Though his body experienced major trauma physically and mentally, he's going to be asleep for a while." Nyx said as he sat down and released a tired breath.

"That's good." Echo said with a mouth full of pizza.

"I figured he wasn't going to make it after all it went through today."

"Your right, but fortunately it isn't a normal cat. The wall he hit shattered, thankfully he was awakened so he was able to pull through."

"I didn't know awakened animals existed." Echo exclaimed.

'I've never seen an awakened animal before...' Nyx thought as he was in deep thought.

'I heard that experiments were conducted on animals but that only made them half-awakened. Was this another experiment? If it is then it's more trouble than it was previously...' Nyx thought while he was subconsciously licking his paws.

"Nyx... everything okay?"

"Of course not, you bring trouble, like a magnet!" Nyx scolded Echo.

"It is what it is I guess." Echo shrugged.

"You're an idiot..." Nyx sighed, "You stuck your nose in something dangerous and crossed paths with an awakened one that is stronger than you! You stole his 'Sample', and he will do anything to get it back!" Nyx continued shouting and scolding Echo.

"I guess something like this is forbidden per se?" Echo asked seriously.

"Yes, strictly forbidden. Not only did he leave evidence with this cat, but he also lost his breakthrough, and we don't even know why he's doing this." Nyx said seriously.

'They won't hesitate to kill you Echo...' Nyx thought as he stared at Echo.

'He just found out he's awakened, and he's already knee-deep in danger... I'm sure he knows this too but he doesn't know his life is on the line. I can't tell him either, it's better if he doesn't know...' Nyx thought.

"So what are you worried about me?" Echo mocked.

"Why would I be worried about you!? I'm more worried about what I got myself into! Understand! Huh? Huh? Huh?" Nyx got all furious and flustered as he used his paw to point at him.

"Hahaha~" Echo laughed watching the funny faces and actions Nyx was doing.

"Just watch out. You made a powerful enemy. He will be back for that cat." Nyx sighed.

"I know." Echo nodded

'Such a weird idiot...'

- VVVRRRRRRR!

Suddenly Echo's phone started vibrating.

"Oh damn, it's already time!" Echo said looking at his phone.

He suddenly disappeared before reappearing this time wearing his school uniform.

"Where are you going? I'm in the middle of talking..." Nyx asked.

"School."

"School? What school?" Nyx asked surprised.

"School, you know where regular kids go to during the day to learn... looks like we accidentally spent all night awake, anyway I left you some food and water on the table it isn't raw meat so don't worry, make sure to eat." Echo said as he started leaving.

"Oh... okay..."

Suddenly Echo stopped as he remembered something.

"Don't leave, you should stay with me, at least until you recover." Echo tried sounding normal but still contained a hint of sadness.

"Bye~" Echo didn't wait anymore and left the house, leaving Nyx alone.

"Sigh... since he's so worried I guess I have no choice, so I'll stay for a bit." Nyx sighed before he saw his reflection in the window and his narcissistic personality kicked in as he started admiring his looks once more.

"Woof~"

"Woof~"

Suddenly he was interrupted as he looked towards the door and saw three dogs entering the house.

"What the...?" Nyx was confused.

The dogs started surrounding him, sniffing him as they started rubbing against him, while the last one was simply looking around.

"They should be hungry... but that's not my problem." Nyx mumbled as he shook them off and was about to lay down until he remembered what happened.

"How did you end up here? The dogs found you in the woods, and came for me and led me to you. So you should be thankful to them..."

Nyx sighed.

He looked around and saw a bag of dog food and a few bowls. A few seconds later he filled up three bowls of dog food.

It was quite funny seeing a fox pouring dog food with its paws.

The three dogs started eating out of their bowls.

Nyx sighed and saw a can of dog food not too far away.

"How do I open this?" Nyx started poking at the can.

Suddenly he thought of an idea, he raised his paw and one of the nails from his paws came out. Thankfully there was an opener on top of the lid so he just pulled it back like normal.

It was chicken and venison it shined like the holy grail in front of his very eyes.

Instantly he was surrounded once more by the three dogs as they looked at him with menacing eyes...

"I'm Home! Nyx I'm home..." Echo entered his house. He was greeted by multiple cans of dog food and three dogs, passed out like they drank for three days straight.

"Nyx must have opened the cans for them... oh this one is new..." Echo said as he looked at three dogs, one in particular.

"He overfed them..." Echo sighed as he looked at multiple open cans.

He turn his head and saw Nyx sprawled out on the floor sleeping.
