Gone

Lesley's P.O.V.

It's been 11 years since the assailants attacks the Vance household, and it's also been 11 years since the death of my father.

"Sister! Sister!" I turn my head to the side to face the upcoming Harley.

He was bouncing with a wide smile on his face like he discovered something interesting.

"Mmm?"

"I found this bunny near the forest and I bought it home! It was so naughty and wanted to breakfree---- so can you take care of it? Please?" He pleased and gave me that puppy eyes look.

I think once and twice then answered--- "No."

"Yess! Wait---what!?" He said as his cheerful mood turn into a wasted one.

"..."

He hugged my knees with tears on his eyes, begging me to accept his offer.

"Sister! The bunny! The bunny! It's the bunny! The bunny needs you!!" Harley cries.

I mess up his hair like he always don't want me to.

He pouted.

"The bunny needs me, or you need me? I know you're doing this to escape from me. That kind of idea cannot bring me down, Harley." I calmly said so he sat on the ground like a five years old throwing a tantrums. "And besides, you're already 10, start acting your age."

He glared at me.

"But I'm acting my age! I'm still a kid so don't let me start a fight about it! Hmp!"

I smiled like a maniac, showing him no mercy. "Start a fight about it or I'll start shooting you instead?"

He nervously laugh. "W-what about g--giving me a permission t-to play w-with my f-friends?"

Pff~

"Start moving away or I'll change my mind about it." I said, expecting him to yelled joyously.

He bounced at the air like he won a lottery, so I smiled.

"Thank you sister---er.. What changes your mind---"

"Just consider yourself lucky today troublemaker. Just consider.."

(A FEW HOURS LATER)

"The portal was nowhere to be seen! Then how could we bring our son back!?" I couldn't resist that fact that Harley was gone and the only clue we know that he was in the land of dawn.

In the land where my mother sacrifice herself for me and my father. She's a hero and her job is to make the world safe in the hands of darkness.

I look at the floor.

I failed....

The last one that I wanted to protect is gone missing, and it's my fault why he's gone.

I don't know what to do if something bad happened to him. He's a real brother to me and I don't want him to get hurt.

I look at couple who adopted me. "I'll find Harley and I will to anything to keep him safe."

That's the last words I said before I went into a journey in the land of dawn to find my brother.
