I was in our limo with Arthur and my bodyguards and we had already visited Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Stark Industries, and even the Statue of Liberty. We had just stopped at the Museum of Natural History and I got out with my entourage and heard the many whispers from all the museum goers.
It was the normal things you'd expect from people who see someone surrounded by guards and getting out of an expensive limo such as, is he someone important?, Is he some rich kid?, and I wonder what he looks like?
The last question had been due to the fact that I was surrounded by the guards who formed a circle around me at least until we actually got inside and I told them I wanted to look around.
Despite not actually wanting to visit the Natural History Museum, I had to admit, it was a novel experience. I was also surprised to see that the exhibits resembled the same exhibits from the movie 'Night at the Museum' even Teddy Roosevelt looked similar to Robbin Williams (RIP).
I had walked around and started saying different lines that I remembered from the movie. I went up to the Easter Island Head and looked completely serious as I said in a deep voice.
"Hey Dum Dum, you bring me Gum Gum?"
I then started laughing louder than I meant to. I then went over to Dexter and was just like. "What's up Dexter" as I passed by.
I was having some fun, but I knew I had to stop messing around and head back out to start my plan.
Arthur had been watching me, messing around and he had a huge grin on his face, mostly to see his favorite little person to be smiling and joking after so long of not seeing him act like that.
Now obviously, I didn't think that this was a merged world of Night at the Museum and the MCU, but who knows, it wouldn't be difficult to find out as the news talked about how Larry Daley, (the guy who was the Night guard) had the exhibits pretend to be animatronics/actors.
Maybe Origin just knew I liked the movie and decided to make them look like that for fun.
AN: Don't worry, I won't be merging the two movies, I just thought it'd be kinda fun.
As we were leaving and we got in the car, I began Phase II.
"Hey Arthur!" I said getting his attention.
"Yes Master Grey?" He replied.
"So when we were touring the city, I saw this building with this window with a weird symbol, I wanted to get a close look before we head back home, do you mind?" I asked.
"Of course not, Master Grey. Do you remember what street it was on?" Arthur asked.
"Yeah, it was off Bleeker Street!" I said happily.
"Very well, one last stop before we head back, it has been a full day afterall." Arthur intoned.
After a few minutes of driving and dealing with New York Traffic and its very limited parking spots, we finally arrived outside the Sanctum Sanctorum, New York branch.
I then had Arthur and the guards get out and walk up to the door and I pointed up at the window.
"See that weird symbol Arthur?" I asked.
"I do indeed." He replied.
"What do you think it means?" I asked innocently.
"I am not sure Master Grey, but I'm sure if you were to ask the owner they could tell you." Arthur proffered.
"There's no need for that Arthur, I was simply curious." I explained.
Arthur nodded with a smile as we discussed the symbol for a few more minutes as I didn't want to make it seem as if I was specifically trying to come to this location for anything other than curiosity. I then looked back at Arthur and told him that we could go back now.
Arthur nodded and we all got back In the limo and drove back to the mansion. I got out the car, thanked Arthur and the guards for driving me around New York and keeping me safe and went back to my room.
....
(Later that night)
I was laying on my bed waiting anxiously for midnight to come as it was the perfect time to head over to the Sanctum as most everyone in my home would be asleep and it was also when the guards would do a shift change. I had already memorized their shift schedules as I had asked the guards many different questions during our city tour under the guise of being concerned if I would be safe considering what happened to me before.
The guards were all too happy to explain the intricacies to me believing that I wouldn't understand it all and that I would be able to report to my parents that they were doing a good job as I had assured them I would. It worked like a charm and with my Eidetic Memory, remembering it all was nothing.
I had also already remembered the whole layout of the mansion so I had no problem teleporting to the roof. Once there, I began to float in the air and began to fly into the night sky and after I felt I was high enough to be unnoticeable, I began mass teleporting to the Sanctum. I finally made to right above the building and then after making sure the surrounding streets were deserted, I teleported to the door and before I could knock, the door slowly opened infront of me.
I walked in with slight trepidation as I really hoped it was the Ancient One who would meet me and not someone like Kaecilius. I had passed the entryway and the door closed behind me and I heard a familiar voice from above me at the top of the stairs.
"I was expecting you a lot sooner" the Ancient One said teasingly.
"Well it's not as easy as it sounds to sneak out of a highly guarded mansion, especially when said individual sneaking out had only recently survived an assassination attempt." I said back.
"Fair enough. Now I already know why you are here, but before I can allow you to learn what you need, there are 2 specific types of magic you will have to learn first, are you prepared for that?." The Ancient One replied and asked.
"Of course, I will do whatever I need to. I am sure that it will be a rewarding experience." I replied with a huge grin.
Okay so there was some fun little event and next chapter we will get into the MC's magic training.
