Chapter Twenty-Nine

Cambry's POV:

I woke up this morning to find a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers in a vase next to my bed and a note clipped to the purple ribbon around the vase.

I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes before taking the note and reading over it.

My beautiful mate,

I wish I could stay with you on such a magical day, but unfortunately, there were some pack issues that I needed to take care of. I got you a bouquet of sunflowers because I know you love them, and because you are my sunflower, all vibrant, and despite the darkest of days, you always seem to find the light at the end of every tunnel.

I smell the flowers with a smile before I rethink the note. Does this mean I won't see him today? A frown etched itself onto my lips as that thought crossed my mind.
