Chester's voice spoke, "Reject your mate right now."
"You're not my father," Suni said, angrily but she was still calm. "Even if you were, I won't reject Valente."
"How dare you talk back--?" He was cut off by Valente's growl.
"Shut your mouth up. Weren't you trying to be nice to her before today?"
"I want the treasure. And I need her for it. Aren't you using her for the same purpose? Come and we can split the treasure."
"I don't want it." He sighed in anger. "And I never used her. I simply took her with me because I found her interesting. I don't need to explain that to you. Get out of here and leave us alone. You can sort out with the rouges for the treasure."
"What do we have to sort out?"
"Sort out who wants the treasure. They are behind the same thing. So fight them, not us. I already told them I will give the treasure to them."
"NO! We need her. I don't trust you."
"You-You don't deserve the treasure!" Suni yelled, not so loudly. "You're a bad man! And I am not coming anywhere with you."
"You've gotten bold..." Chester whispered in shock. She did get bold staying with Valente.
"Old man, this girl is stronger than you." The red-headed alpha smirked. "I'd suggest you leave and talk to the rouges yourself."
Suni's eyes widened hearing his words. What was he saying!
"She is not stronger than me! She can never be!" He shouted. "If you are, Suni Onyx! Prove to me right here, right now." He smirked, knowing very well, she can't beat him. She was an omega and had no magic at all. What could dragon wings possibly do? She didn't even know how to land with them.
The black-haired girl snapped her head towards the alpha standing beside her.
"Trust me." That's all Valente said giving her a sweet encouraging smile.
She genuinely felt that she could trust him with anything. So she did, nodding hesitantly.
"I'll fight you!" She said with a serious expression.
"Why would you even try?" Chester scoffed.
"Sir, Do you need our help?" One of his men asked.
"Of course not!" He shouted at them whilst Suni removed her jacket and the black shiny wings erupted piercing the dress she wore, from the back.
Valente's eyes shone at the beautiful sight as his hand caught her and pulled her towards him.
"You'll be cold. Take the kiss." Soft lips touched Suni's forehead feeling warmth rush through her.
"Will I be okay?" She whispered.
"For sure!" He said with a half-smile.
She nodded and breathed in sharply, flapping the wings causing her to fly high in the sky. She had to believe in herself. She didn't want to be weak and this was the time to prove that the Omega wasn't weak. Ranks never mattered. The rank stuff is all complete nonsense and nobody can stop a person who'll work hard.
"Hey, you, redhead brat!"
Valente looked at Chester, who just called out to him, raising his brows. "Don't meddle in our fight."
A smirk came upon his face instantly. "That won't be needed." Snorting, he said.
Chester fumed in anger but put the words in the back of his mind.
Meanwhile, Suni was panicking. This man was the king of one of the kingdoms of the three great nations. What was she doing up there? She must be out of her mind. However, something quickly got her out of her panic-stricken musings, and that was Valente's words. "Trust me." She breathed out in relief and focused on her flying as well the sounds of nature.
Chester scowled and thought of a plan on the spot, smirking he shot blue water attacks at her which immediately changed into ice. He had the advantage of the temperature.
Suni dodged every attack he threw at her. What was she supposed to do now? She was so confused. She didn't even have an offensive attack to use against him. However, this was no time to back off.
Valente watched the fight, his eyes not blinking once.
The blackhead flapped her wings cutting the air, barely missing the hit. She panted but then it clicked in her mind. Her wings work because of the air. If there was no air, wings would be useless. Air was the answer to an offensive attack.
She was too into her thoughts that she didn't notice a sharp piece of ice coming to her. It was very fast not giving her time to react when she finally noticed.
Valente's breath hitched, watching as Suni's arm got a sharp deep cut from his attack. She fell on the snowy ground but didn't feel so cold thanks to Valente. Although the bleeding cut hurt so much that it caused tears to slip out of her eyes.
The redhead was going to run to her but stopped himself. He believed she could get up on her own.
"Huh, I defeated her already. It was nothing." Chester laughed with a smug look on his face.
Suni's eyebrows came down together as she stood up. "I won't let you win." She uttered, her arm still bleeding.
Chester furrowed his brows, "Oh, really?"
She didn't say anything, instead flapped her wings and kept flapping them until they turned into a tornado. A real tornado.
Valente's proud eyes watched in amazement, his hair ruffling on its own because of the impact of the wind.
The king had his eyes widened, he couldn't believe she could pull such a move out. He tried to block it, throwing his water-ice attacks at the tornado but it resulted in making the tornado stronger.
She slowly put one of her hands out trying hard to manipulate the thing she created.
Valente's smile grew wider as he watched her controlling the tornado and wind around her. Her ears stood straight as she hurled her clever attack towards Chester.
Chester couldn't make his attacks. He was beyond shocked and got merged within her tornado.
"AGHHH!" His voice screamed.
Suni breathed out in relief, however she felt bad. Watching the redhead smiling and sprinting towards her, she smiled, she wanted to stay awake and listen to his praises but she collapsed due to the heavy bleeding.
"Suni!" That was the last thing she heard, slipping into darkness.
