As Maria's eyes fluttered open, the soft morning light filtering in through her curtains, she let out a contented sigh, reveling in the warmth of her bed.
Her body felt heavy, weighed down by a lingering sense of lethargy that threatened to keep her rooted to the spot indefinitely.
But as she stretched and yawned, she slowly began to rouse herself, her mind gradually stirring from its slumber.
It was then that she noticed that Julia, her ever-efficient roommate, was nowhere to be seen.
A quick glance at her phone confirmed that Julia had already left for the day, but not before leaving her a thoughtful message and some breakfast.
"I've prepared your breakfast, it's in the fridge and please do not make any mess Maria."
She smiled at the message, her heart swelling with gratitude for her dear friend. "Ahh Julia you're the besstt"
