Chapter 67: I can't trust you

Vincent and Ashlyn got to the hospital with both of them saying no words to each other after the incident. The air around them was a comfortable silence with palpable tension but neither of them cared doing something about it.

Using the elevator, they both reached the VIP section floor where Mrs Pedro's room was and they headed to her room. Vincent was about to knock when they got to the door but Ashlyn immediately opened it without announcement.

Mrs Pedro was on the bed in a sitting position and going through a magazine that Mrs Meyer had brought for her before she went back home. Not that, the magazine was important, it was only to kill her boredom and let her curiosity die down a bit about what Vincent had told her yesterday. She was with Owen in the room but he was doing something on his phone so she let him do whatever he wanted because she knew his mind was still unsettled.
