Chapter 15

After a month of mediation. He finally grasped a little of his darkness but not as much as he hoped. He only managed to extend the limit by 5 minutes. He realized that he has a lot of bottle up anger but he just can't do anything about it. He almost drowned in the darkness a few times. It's that strong inside of him. which doesn't make sense. Sure he does have a lot of anger but it shouldn't be that much.

He shrugged it off and he'll deal with it from time to time. He decided it's time to level up once and for all. He left a note saying he was going to the dungeon and went on his way. He arrived an hour later with everything prepared. He spent the next 2 hours fighting and getting closer to the tenth floor. Soon he was able to see the foggy area once more. He got ready and spent another 3 hours killing enemies and was on the 11th floor when he heard it. *RUNNNNN ITS AN INFANT DRAGON". Akino's face grew a smile since this is the moment he was waiting for.

He rushed towards the noise and saw the infant dragon finishing off a group of Adventurers. He grimaced slightly due to his own memories of his slaughter but shook those thoughts off. He instantly used Shadows Pierce to skewer the dragon throughout it's body. The infant dragon roared in pain and fired a fireball at Akino in retaliation. Akino rolled out of the way and ran towards the dragon with his newly made sword. He was able to get it fixed and was even made better and sharper than before. So it's no surprise he was able to wound the dragon greatly.

Akino continued to run circles around the dragon looking for weak points and what not. The dragon continued to fire it's breath attack to roast the annoying pipsqueak. Akino just kept dodging and weaving leaving many cuts and scratches around the dragons body.

The dragon in a desperate attempt to get payback launched its tail at Akino at far faster speeds he saw before. The hit landed and Akino flew through the air but managed to recover at the last moment. He ran at the dragon and threw his dagger at its eye and successfully blinded it on his right eye side. The battle was being witnessed by multiple people who were in awe of the fight.

The fight continued like this for another 20 minutes until Akino was able to finish it off with Shadows Pierce. He fell to his knees breathing hard but was smiling. Then he heard clapping coming from the other Adventurers and he got up. He stretched his body to get rid of the kinks and headed towards the stairs to the tenth floor to grind some more before leaving the dungeon.

A few more hours later he reached the surface and cashed in his rewards. He got 179,850 valis this time. He went home and decided to see if he could level up. After Miach drops his blood onto Akino's back and was glad he familia was safe. He gave him his paper with his stats on it.

"it looks like you maxed out your stats. Are you ready to level up". Akino just nodded his head and Miach did his thing. Now that Akino is level 2 Miach said he has a few abilities he could choose from. He chose Chain Attack which increases the power of attacks delivered continuously.

Miach nodded and added it but the status was still shining meaning he could pick another one. He decided to get Hunter which Improves abilities against monsters that the user has fought before and gained excelia from. Miach once again added it and this time the shine disappeared and he sighed. He really does have an exceptional familia member. He smiled and then went to bed. Akino decided to follow suit and also headed to bed with a smile on his face at getting stronger.
