Forgotten Princess

A few days passed by and Mr Ryu soon recovered from his shock due to the death of King and Queen Hae. On the other hand, Nanny Yu became extremely troubled by the change in Astrol's behavior. After her parents death, Astrol had gone extremely quiet. She no longer smiled, laughed or even cried. The only time Astrol showed any emotion was after she had the same vision turned nightmare from going to bed. She would end up waking the entire mansion with her loud cries. Astrol had also eventually developed a phobia for the dark as well as a sleeping disorder due to the event with her parents. The mansion quickly became so cold and quiet like it wasn't inhabited by anyone in a very short period of time.

The main problem that concerned the society was the choice of who would handle the Hae empire until the young princess came of age to rule. The decision was later made few months after the burial of Astrol's parents, that Jaehyun Go, a very very distant cousin of the king, would rule since he was the closest related to any of them by blood. Jaehyun Go eventually moved into the mansion with his family and quickly started functioning. He soon became adored and loved by the people, and Jaehyun knew that he couldn't let such a life escape him. Thus, he soon became troubled by Astrol's existence and immediately came up with the idea to maltreat the young princess. He decided he would take advantage of her mental state and phobias to drive her away on her own. If that wouldn't work, he would then either make her go mad or make her kill herself for him since he couldn't kill her himself for now. That way his daughter-Yera Go- would become the next heir of the Hae empire.

...

4 years had already gone by, and the young princess was slowly turned into a rag doll in her own mansion. Jaehyun Go took advantage of her quiet nature and vulnerability and slowly managed to get her under his wing. He stared off by firing Nanny Yu and all the other old servants Astrol was familiar with, and replacing them with new ones to ensure no one got in his way. However, he couldn't get rid of Mr Ryu-the housekeeper- since everyone knew how close and important he was to the royal household. So, in order to avoid suspicion, he kept him but successfully managed to manipulate him with threats pertaining to his family, so there was nothing he could do to help the young miss.

Whenever Astrol would make the simplest and littlest of mistakes, she would get whipped mercilessly by Jaehyun, and his wife would end up locking her up in the store room and turning off all the lights. Astrol would usually cry till her body gave in and she fell asleep, only to be awaken by her nightmare once again and find herself inside the dark room. As years went by, Astrol also grew to become more and more beautiful and alluring. This didn't escape the eyes of some of the male servants in the mansion. They had made lots of attempts to harass her because they knew that they would get away with it, since no one cared about the young princess's wellbeing. Luckily, Astrol managed to find a way to escape the male servants every time, but they knew that it was only a matter of time before she would succumb. All this quickly made the Hae mansion to become a living hell for the young Astrol.

During those four years though, Nanny Yu had figured out what was going on inside the mansion, and had finally come up with a great plan to infiltrate the large home and take Astrol with her to flee country X. She eventually became successful and managed to save Astrol by the help of some of the servants that were good and had compassion towards the young princess. That same day, they fled country X, and went away to country Z, which was ruled by the Han empire and the Democrats. She knew they'd be safe there because the Han's were strict and didn't allow the slightest issue concerning the people under their protection to be taken lightly.

Once Jaehyun Go heard that the young princess had gone missing, he felt extremely happy. Thankfully he didn't have to go with plan B. The little princess's presence was such a pain in the ass for him. On the other hand, Yera Go - his daughter - felt relived that Astrol had managed to escape. She was two years younger than Astrol, and she felt really bad for what she witnessed her go through. Her dad made sure to keep them far away from each other, telling her that Astrol was a curse that ruined her whole family. She could only peek at her once in a while from a distance at the other side of the mansion.

Jaehyun Go was so happy with the news, he kissed his wife and threw a party for everyone in the mansion. Soon, the news that the princess had finally gone mad and ran away spread throughout the whole of country X, and she was declared missing. Jaehyun Go acted so devastated and gave numerous speeches regarding the princess, and at the same time had promised to give a huge cash reward to anyone who would find her. But deep down he knew that he'd kill her if he ever set his eyes on her again. The news eventually died down with time and Jaehyun Go was so delighted. "A forgotten princess you've become, and a forgotten princess you'll forever be", he uttered and laughed hysterically afterwards. He just couldn't believe his luck...
