Chapter - 10 The Dead and Dream's world (1)

It's funny how it just ended like that. It didn't even take a second for me to killed.

If anything I'm not mad, just disapointed. Whoever it was, is definitely someone of higher ranking. He knew my name as well, not suprised anymore but, he seemed like held a grudge against me.

Now that dead, for sure. What do I do? are people conscious of themselves when dead...

I can hear my thoughts clearly, it's dark, silent. It's kind of peaceful.

"Isn't it peaceful Rayne, this place is like paradise."

Yeah, it's like a sleeping paradise.

"Huh"

My heart rate quickened than usual.

"W-ho are you?!"

"You already know who I am." the mysterious person replied back with a giggle.

Who the hell is this guy, he just came out of nowhere. I can talk and see now? This place was a whole lot different. It was weird, the atomsphere's a little foggy, it wasn't so bright.

The entire city is different, there's upside down buildings in the sky. I coudn't feel anything, everything felt unreal.

"This place is far better than that world."

And then there's this guy... he says I know him?

"You're... Chronos Kraine or something, and you got killed at the age of 11?"

How do I know him... it's like his memories are with me.

"Yup, I know you're death as well. When a person is here they know everything about a random person-

"This place is for sins committed, or you're dreams are linked. You haven't really committed a sin so, you're not supposed to be here. Odd." said Chronos in a suspicious manner.

"Then why am I here...?"

If I haven't committed a sin, was I mistakenly brought here? meaning they'll either let me leave or-

"I don't know, and by the way once you're here, you're really just stuck here. For eternity."

...?

There was atleast a whole minute pause.

"That's a joke right? I mean if I'm stuck what am I supposed to be doing?"

"I was here for uncountable decades, I can't even remember what the first thing I did when I ended up here."

F#k, what am I supposed to be doing...

"Let me cheer you up."

"Hu-!"

He rushed towards me, in an matter of seconds I was blown into the air, reaching the level above clouds. You could see the buildings above and below clearly. It was Breathtaking.

"Let's go there, I'll show my animals."

"Animals...?"

It took us 4 seconds to reach his so called "home".

Looking at them, these animals are quite weird. A fox with 4 tails, a lion who was on standing on it's two feet and a hamster who had a mustache. These might not be the names of them , but they resemble them.

"You had a cat right?"

I wonder what happened to eva. Is she even alive?

"Yeah I did but I don't what happened to her."

He raises his hand and points and the 4 tailed fox.

"Since you're already linked with her, you can have her take it's body for a while."

"I can do that?"

I have would a lot better having her come back but how do I it...

"It isn't that hard. You're in a place where most stuff are linked so it shoud take just a few seconds."

"Alright, could you tell me how to do it?"

The instructions were quite vague. There was no need for focused concentration, just think about you're need and let it take a natural shape.

Well thinking about Eva wasn't hard, it's just something was blocking me from thinking about her.

"There you go you're doing, just take shape now a-!"

At first I thought he stopped talking was because I did it right, but it was because I brought something else. A pitch dark unusual shape.

"OI STOP Stop!" Chronos Shouted.

I stopped the exact moment eva appeared. She was in the form of how you would represent a ghost. Eva went towards the 4 tailed fox and caused a short outrage. It ended after a few seconds and eva managed to take hold of the fox.

"I kinda feel bad for the fox."

I wanted to know what the fox was thinking during that time.

"Don't be, it killed more than a thousand people, so this much should be enough for it?"

I sighed out of the small sense of relief.

"Haa... if you want to leave that bad maybe there's way, but it should be 96% impossible." Chronos mentioned with a small grin.

"If it's that impossible then why tell me?"

"Since that 4% might be possible for you, that is."

A sense of hope... maybe? I wasn't sure If I should trust this guy, but seeing his past how it ended, he doesn't seem bad. And he did bring me all the way across the sky just to show his animals.

"What's the risk?"

A small pause, with an intimidating atmosphere caused me to have a small drop of sweat falling off my cheek.

"The risk is that they won't think about helping a random sin or... they'll completely devour you out of pure hatred."

"...Whose they here?"

Chronos anonymously laughs.

I coudn't tell weather I was terrified of the name or just him.

"Confusing isn't Rayne, don't worry though. I'm sure it will work out."
