Chapter Thirteen

Mrs Joanna's POV

(Flashback continuation)

I mourned Anna for as long as I could after which I decided that life had to continue as I wished I had never paid attention to my children just like I had done when Terry was born. I resolved to live life again and so I made up with some old friends whom I party with before I decided to focus on my kids.

I began to feel alive again until my husband came home from work one night with a child in his hands saying he had gone to adopt a child in order to make me happy again. I stared at him confused on what to say, "when did my husband begin to care about making me happy?", he further went ahead to say that he thought Terry needed company as he seemed bored lately. I looked at the girl and she looked ok though a little bit pale. Eben then suggested that we named her Anna to make me feel my daughter's presence to which I vehemently refused. She could be little, blonde and cute but could never replace my Anna. I walked out of him with a longing for my Anna, a feeling I had been trying to suppress for some time now. I missed her so much, her smile brought do much joy to me and so no one in this world could replace her. I decided that thr little girl could stay just for the sake of Terry who I paid little attention to nowadays.

Detective David's POV

I got to the station to meet Dylan with two other people; a man and a younger lady seated beside him. We exchanged greetings and I was given an update on the case;It was a murder case of their dad and even though they had no evidence except an autopsy report, they feared their lives were in danger.

We sat down and talked for some time after which I asked a few questions and then we exchanged pleasantries and they left .

It didn't really seem like a tough case to me however the warning I got seemed to be a hindrance. It was like I knew the killer but then my hands were tied, I looked up as I asked God to lead me on what to do, I just needed my daughter to be safe...

Debby's POV

The moment I picked it, I saw the face of my three best friends in school all clustered together wanting to talk at the same time. I smiled as I remembered days with them having fun with no worries of life at all. I smiled till tears began to roll down my cheeks and then Nobert the fun one among us noticed this and asked me why I was crying. I quickly dried my tears and told them how much I missed them. They asked about my well being to which I decided to be brief and I told them that life had not been the same without them I to avoid telling them about my dad's death to avoid getting them into danger of any sort. We talked for some time before finally deciding to retire for the night, I just wished it never ended. As I lay on my bed, I heard the sound of an airplane and remembered dad which made me to begin to cry as I had never really experienced death and this was going to be hard
