The Party

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, Ren heard the doorbell ring.

It was Claire and Felix at the door.

"Huh, what are you guys doing here? We haven't prepared for the party yet," Ren said, puzzled.

Could they be that excited about the party?

"We're here to help! It must be tough for the teacher to handle everything alone, and Mrs. Ren's cooking... well..." Felix trailed off.

But everyone present shared a knowing smile.

They had tasted Jada's cooking before.

After just one experience, they knew it was not something you'd find in normal cuisine.

"Oh, thank you." Ren didn't refuse, knowing he could use the help: "Once everything is set up, I'll give you all a big red envelope!"

He patted Yueyue's head and said, "Say thank you to the uncles and aunts."

Claire and the others twitched their mouths.

But Yueyue's sweet voice quickly charmed them: "Thank you, uncles and sisters~~"

This instantly made the girls smile brightly.

Although they came to help, Ren didn't let Claire do much since she was one of the party's main guests.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Claire insisted on helping and was finally allowed to organize some things.

The guys moved tables around, creating enough space for people to move.

After all, there would be many kids at the party, and children like to run around, so they needed plenty of space.

They also set up chairs.

When Jada returned with a car full of snacks and groceries, Ren and the others moved everything to the kitchen to prepare for the party.

She spotted a small cake next to him!

"Oh, making a cake," Ren answered casually.

"Oh!" Yueyue had already guessed that, but her main goal was to sneak some cake. So, she tried to distract Ren while reaching for the cake with her small, chubby hand: "Daddy, when will the party start…"

She kept talking to Ren.

But Ren noticed her actions: "You can just ask if you want some cake."

He handed the cake to Yueyue.

"Yay, Daddy is the best!" Yueyue didn't expect to get the cake without getting scolded and happily ate it.

"Slow down, you've got cream all over your face." After she finished eating, Ren used a cream-covered towel to wipe her face: "Alright, go play. Your friends are here."

With her dad's permission, Yueyue excitedly ran to her friends.

She quickly returned.

"Daddy, you're so mean! You smeared cream on my face!" Yueyue's face puffed up in anger, looking so cute that people wanted to pinch her cheeks.

Yueyue was very upset.

She had happily gone to play with her friends but was soon laughed at!

Because her face was covered in cream!!!

Then she remembered her dad wiping her face with a towel.

"Sorry, sorry." Ren smiled and took out a wet towel to clean her face.

"Here, take these as a peace offering. Share them with your friends." Ren handed her a few small cakes, while his other hand casually brushed some matcha powder on the side: "Go on~"

This sweet scene of father and daughter made everyone in the kitchen smile.

She couldn't believe her dad tricked her again before she left!

"Don't be mad." The other kids comforted her.

Lili glanced at Ren, who was busy, and softly consoled Yueyue: "He's the Headless Demon King! This is very kind of him!"

Yueyue didn't argue.

He had never stolen food!

"Let's go see Little White!"

One kid suggested seeing the puppy from kindergarten, speaking softly.

"Yeah, let's see Little White! I want to see Little White too! I heard Yueyue brought Bailey back!" The other kids quickly agreed.

"Hee hee, alright~~"

So, the kids rushed to where Little White was, shouting and playing as they surrounded the confused puppy.

"Woof?" Bailey, who had come from Ren's dad's house, was more alert. It tilted its head curiously and, seeing the kids rushing over, ran away without a word, leaving Little White behind.

They say couples are like birds in the same forest; when disaster strikes, they fly their separate ways.

Little White, who didn't escape in time, was surrounded by the kids. The boldest one already started petting its head.

The rest of the kids turned their attention to Bailey.

It was chaos.

Bailey was lifted high by Yueyue.

Its tail curled up, showing how scared it was of the world!
