Goblin King 2

Jon dodged the incoming spear thrust, but his head went spinning after being struck by the bone club. Jon from the ground looked up at the third goblin attacking with a dagger in hand. Jon flung up his hand and felt the jagged metal pierce his palm. Jon was in severe pain, and blood dripped down his face, blurring his vision. Just as the spear goblin brandished his spear towards Jon, a shovel came down and split his skull.

Dirknooth leveled up too and unlocked a new skill called Fury. It allowed the goblin to enter a frenzied state. In that state, Dirknooth attack doubles but can't distinguish friend from foe. Activating Knight's Aura removed the berserkness within Dirknooth but left the attack buff in effect. One swing of his shovel, he killed the spear goblin. The second swing of his Farmer's shovel lodged itself in the side of the club-wielding goblin's throat. Dirknooth grabbed the third one and tossed him into the side of the barn. Darknooth ripped the shovel out of the dead goblin's throat. He walked over to the last goblin and finished it off.

Jon watched as the goblin saved him, but slowly passed out due to blood loss. Night came and went. Dirknooth patched Jon up the best he could. Dirknooth was worried about losing his faithful lord. In his worry, he didn't even cook or eat any of them.

As the morning came, Jon opened his eyes. "Ughh...I feel like I've been hit by a moving car."

"Jon. You awake. I'm happy." Tears of joy streaked down the goblin's face. He was happy to see him up.

Jon couldn't understand how a game could be this real. He truly felt pain, hunger, and even fatigue. Jon still can't remember who he was or how he got into the game, but knowledge of twenty-first items was still in his head.

"Dirk... I'm alright." Jon said, smiling at the ugly crying creature. All of a sudden, a growl from Jon's stomach made the two laugh.

"I cook some meat," Dirknooth said, patting his chest. The goblin chopped up the hobgoblin and cooked it over the fire.

The smell of the meat made Jon hungrier. He tended to his poorly wrapped wounds. Jon then replaced the leaf on his forehead and rewrapped his hand. He then heard a familiar sound.

*Ding* **You obtained the skill First Aid**

Jon then opened his status.

Jon was starting to enjoy seeing the progress of his skills and levels. The equivalent of achieving small goals over and over. Dirknooth finally completed cooking and brought over a grilled piece of meat, giving it to Jon. Jon took a bite out of it and heard another ding.

*Ding* **You obtained the skill Goblin Smash**

"Lucky day," blurted out Jon.

"It is good meat."

Jon laughed. "Thanks for taking care of me, Dirknooth."

"My honor," Dirknooth pounded his fist to his chest.

Jon clicked the skill to view the information on his two new skills.

*First Aid Lv 1 (23/100) - Ability to provide basic medical care to someone experiencing a sudden injury or illness.*

*Goblin Smash Lv 1 (1/100) - [-30 stamina] A powerful attack that allows the user to double one's attack using one's fist or blunt object.

"Stamina?" wondered Jon. I don't see that stat on my menu. I wonder if I can even use this skill without it. While Jon pondered on his skills, Dirknooth started eating his portion. The starving goblin almost ate half of the hobgoblin before Jon saw something in Dirknooth's menu under status.

"Dirknooth, are you evolving?" asked Jon.

"Huh? I don't know," shrugged the goblin with a mouth full of meat.

Jon shook his head at the carefree creature. He then began to wonder why such a powerful creature attacked their farm. Little did Jon know was that if one didn't actively pursue their character quest that the quest would seek them out in Cyber Horizon. With the scouting party dead, the clan would come for revenge.
