The rubbery piece of flesh didn't taste that good, but Jon somehow still swallowed it down. Then he heard a familiar sound go off.

* Monster Mage class can only learn battle skills through eating monsters. Each time a monster is ingested, the mage has a 1% chance of obtaining a skill it possesses. The Monster Mage is the only class that is allowed to have an unlimited amount of skills.

Notification after notification bombarded Jon. Eventually, he just opened up his menu to look at his new information.

Jon was amazed to see the new skills, but also his constitution went up by 3 points. He wondered what his new skills did and tried to click on them. Text of the skill Iron Stomach displayed before him.

*Iron Stomach (Passive) (MAX LV) - [+3 CON] This is a skill exclusive to the hidden class Monster Mage. It allows the user to consume any substance and receive any adverse effects.*

"Woah! No wonder the chunk of goblin meat didn't upset my stomach. I didn't know the system could provide more information by clicking on it."

"Ughh. What the hell hit me?"

The sudden voice of someone behind him made Jon turnaround in disbelief. He wondered when another human arrived, but he was only looking at the goblin getting up. The goblin's eyes met with Jon's, and it went into defensive mode.

"When did a human sneak up on me?"

"You can talk!" replied Jon.

The goblin stumbled backward when he heard the human speak with him in his native language. "You... you... you... can understand me?"

It took a second for Jon to wrap his head around to what was happening. Soon he remembered the new skill he obtained. "I learned your language after eating your friend behind me."

"Speaking of which," responded the goblin while licking his lips. "Can I have some of that fresh meat? I'm starving after not eating for a few days."

"Aren't these your people?" asked Jon creeped out a bit.

"No, I'm from a different clan." He replied so casually that it kind of unnerved Jon a bit.

"That allows you to eat your kind."

"Yes, it is a great honor to eat those you've killed."

Jon smacked his hand to his forehead. How could he apply sense to the customs of a monster? Shaking his head, he said," yeah, you can have to small one."

"Thank you, Dirknooth, owes you his life," replied the monster beating his fist on his chest. He then pounced onto the smallest corpse and began tearing into it. Jon was grossed out by the savagery eating, but soon his stomach reminded him he was also hungry. They ate the dead flesh of two goblins until only bones, guts, and certain parts remained. Dirknooth sat back and slapped his tummy, indicating he was full. He looked over and saw Jon still mostly the same. Jon was curious why he never obtained another skill after eating the entire goblin, but what he didn't understand was each creature only provided a 1% chance.

"Human, what should I call you?"

"Jon."

"Jon, my life is yours as long as I am fed."

*Ding* **NPC Dirknooth has been added to your party**

The smiling goblin freaked Jon out a bit, but he got over it after a bit. He then opened his menu to look at the stats of his new comrade.

Jon couldn't believe Dirknooth's basic stats were better than his own. He knew now that was probably why so many people died around him. He looked at the goblin and wondered how he obtained such a weird partner.
