Beast Wave 1

As four hunters entered the village, all eyes turned to them. Mostly because a hobgoblin was with them, and second they were dragging several ForestRats and RockBeaks. Grass Village hasn't had successful hunters since the game went live. When Jon almost got near Burgoth, a sound went off.

*Ding* **Game Event - Beast Wave - ***Due to miners disturbing the peace within the mines to the north, the Tunneler, a beast king, has awoken. The beast king will cause all wild monsters in the area to attack Grass Village. The attacks will start in two days within the game.*

When Jon saw the text, he just sighed. There was never a moment of peace in this world. He ignored the message and looked at the hunter in front of him.

"Burgoth, I have your rats."

The game event even notified the NPCs of the attack, and they didn't know how to respond. For an extended period, the hunter didn't reply. Jon shook his shoulder, snapping the NPC out of it.

"Yes, Jon. Thank you for retrieving them."

**Job Quest: Kill 5 Forest-Rats and bring their carcass to Burgoth (Completed)**

With completing his Class quest and now Job quest, Jon leveled up once again.

*Ding* **Player Jon has leveled up**

He then turned in a rat to Dan. A notification went off, telling him he completed the NPC quest. Now with all of the quests done, he needed to figure out the next thing to tackle the Event quest. Jon and Dirknooth followed the other two back to their hut. It wasn't big, but it was enough for the two of them. With four in it, the place seemed small.

"George, don't worry about it. Dirknooth and I will sleep outside for tonight and build us a place tomorrow next to yours, here." Dirknooth just beat his chest in agreement. He couldn't understand human language, but he would always support Jon no matter what. "Plus, we are awaiting one more member of our guild to arrive."

"Hey, Jon. I came back as soon as I got the Event notification. By the way, why is our group's name, Jon's Guild?"

Jon replied, "I just didn't put much thought into it."

"Doesn't matter to me. I have to turn in these ores, and I'll be right back." The big man ran off to head to the head miner of the town, Jafar.

While he was away, Jon asked Dirknooth to get some wood. Dirknooth was better at work than planning anyways. Jon explained how terrifying a monster king when fighting. Depending on how many monsters attack the village, it could be over within mere moments.

"We don't have time to defend the whole village. We will protect the area around us with a wall and traps. George, you will help me with the wall. Mary will be your job to convince everyone if they can't fight off the monsters than to fall back to our location. You got that?"

"I think I can do that."

George spoke up, "I don't have any experience building anything."

Jon chuckled. "This is a game, and you can learn anything. At this moment, we need you to learn the skill, Construction."

"Alright, I'll do my best."

Jon kind of felt overwhelmed, but he got himself together. He looked at the two worried people in front of him. Jon said, "lets put all of that off until tomorrow. George, please help me get a fire so that Dirknooth can roast us some food."

Soon Blue returned after completing his Job quest. He talked to Jon about the plan and offered to smith a few items. He asked the head miner to show him a few things, which was why it took him a bit on returning.

"You obtained the skill, Blacksmith?" asked Jon.

"Yes," Blue responded like it wasn't a big deal. Blue just saw him smelting things and wanted to learn.

Jon wanted to hug him. If they were going to fight, his guildmates would need more than the stone made goblin weapons. Blue explained at his level; he could only make tools and repair some iron weapons. Jon sighed, but then he remembered that their knight used a tool as his primary weapon.

"Blue, I need you to focus on repairing my dagger and making a new shovel for Dirknooth."

"That's right. That hobgoblin is the high leveled warrior in our team. When I saw his stats, I almost freaked."

"Exactly, we need to give him the strongest weapon we can provide."

"Don't worry, Jon. I will use all the ore I was saving to make his weapon."

"Thanks, Blue."

Jon looking at his crafting and wondered if it was similar to Blue's smithing. He then told himself he would look into crafting to see if he could make anything to assist them in fighting off the beast wave. He then opened a new menu he saw with a "G" emblem.

--Guild Members - Jon's Guild --Player: Jon Ramos Lv 9Player: Bartholomew Guinness Lv 4Player: George Johnson Lv 2Player: Mary Steinhoff Lv 2NPC: Dirknooth Lv 12

Through this menu, he could view the stats on any guild member. He opened Goerge's and Mary's stats.

--Name: George Johnson Lv 2--Job: Hunter+1 Stat PointSTR: 4 (+1)CON: 4DEX: 2Skills:Item Insight Lv 1 (14/100); Gathering Lv 1 (35/100); Staff Mastery Lv 1 (45/100)Items:Long Wooden Stick (Low) (+1 STR)----------------------------

Seeing the weird skill Item Insight, Jon clicked on it to view its information.

*Item Insight Lv 1 - This skill allows the user to appraise an item and learn additional information. At the current level, the user can only know the default value the item has received. More options will increase with level.*

Jon felt disappointed after seeing the skill. He was hoping for something a little more useful in this beast wave.
