Lina tossed and turned in her bed, feeling anxious. Her in-laws were already here, and as she had anticipated, they had blamed her for Roger's disappearance. True to their words, her friends and Corbin had defended her in front of the whole town, but the painful words and insults she had to endure from her in-laws had been engraved in her heart.
Her in-laws were so disgusted by Lina that they chose to live at her parent's place until their son was back. It left Lina alone at her home to sulk in her misery.
She finally sat up in bed, unable to get even a moment of peace. Sleep was not an option for her tonight. She kept thinking about Roger.
She was worried for him. No matter what kind of a person he was, he was still her husband. She couldn't just forget about him or stop thinking about him. She prayed that he would show up at the door in the morning, and then people would stop blaming her.
