Vistula's eyes sprang out of their sockets, and her knees gave up on her. She staggered, taking support from the nearest chair before she settled herself in it.
The way all colour drained from her face showed the fear she felt. And it only intrigued Elijah even more.
"H-how do you know about the curse?" She slowly met his eyes.
"You have to come with me, Vistula. I want to show you something."
Vistula was visibly uncomfortable with that conversation. She was not a witch, but she was a supernatural who had a close connection with Larnwick in the past. It was natural that she knew more things about the world of magic than many others.
After a brief silence, she said, "I cannot come with you. My husband..."
"Vistula! Do you know what that mysterious voice told me? It said that she has gotten what she needed. He will come. She will wake him.
