"What?" Herschel asked, to be sure he heard Griselda clearly. "Who is back?"
Griselda shook her head and smiled. "Nothing." She shifted her eyes to Chaos. "Hold on, I'll get something ready."
Chaos nodded, munching the bread excitedly. "Take...your time," his words sounded muffled with the bread filling his mouth.
Griselda chuckled, walking into the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Herschel's eyes followed Griselda. The man was sure he'd heard the witch say something about the princess. Everyone had seen how defeated Griselda was, even until the next morning. She had refused to leave her room or speak to anyone, but now the woman smiled like everything was fine.
It was supposed to be a progress but Herschel was a little worried about it. No parent ever moved on so easily when their child's life was in danger.
"Are you feeling it now?" Chaos asked, raising his brows in a conniving manner as he gave Herschel a knowing smile.
