Prologue

(POV)

Hey!! Name's XingEr(星儿), your local gaming nerd! Beside me is my twin sister who also happens to play the same game as I do, her name is LingEr(鈴儿)!

We were orphaned at a young age due to our parents having lost their lives on the job, our mother and father were both CIA agents so it was their job to confront dangerous criminals, so needless to say.. they were thought as Heroes when they had lost their lives protecting the innocent civilians. My sister and I were devastated, but I could tell that my sister was not going to piece herself together so I did.

We later on moved into our aunt's secondary home but because she works as an escort, we could not live at the main house, most might call it negligence but in my opinion? She was simply kind enough to keep us out of her line of work, she was as kind as our mother, just a little more lustful since she does enjoy her line of work as much as spending time with us. She had treated my sister and I like we were her own daughters because of her inability to have children, I was even offered to be her adopted daughter by my parents but was refused due to her own beliefs.

It has been 6 years since that incident and my sister and I are now the age of 20, we became a shut-in since our aunty wanted us to live a work-free life.. she was afraid of us being hurt on the job so she told us to rely on her as much as we needed. In that sense.. we remained close to ourselves without many friends due to us having only talked to one another during school.

We usually spend our days exercising, sleeping, eating and playing games together. We usually play this MMORPG game that came out just last year, called 'Tales of WuXia'(武俠傳說). It is basically a game based off of the concept of what we believe to be fantasy-cultivation, luckily for my sister and I? There are systems where players who set up can add each other as 'siblings', so that is what my sister and I did with the same jet black silky hair as well as eyes that reflected blood. My sister and I started our own clan called 'XieZu'(血族).

We quickly rose through the ranks until we became unbeatable, it was fun because it distracted us from the reality of our parents. Before I forget, let me tell you about the lore of the game! So it goes something like this..

𝒲𝑒𝓁𝒸𝑜𝓂𝑒 𝓉𝑜 𝒯𝒶𝓁𝑒𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝒲𝓊𝒳𝒾𝒶!

𝓘𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝔀𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓯𝓾𝓵 𝓹𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝔀𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮 𝓬𝓾𝓵𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓲𝓼 𝓫𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓽𝓸 𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽, 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮 𝓲𝓼 𝓪 𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓻𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓶𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓫𝓮 𝓽𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓫𝓮𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓬𝓮𝓮𝓭!

Long ago there were 3 great factions! Heaven, Earth & Hell. They were at constant war with one another and the Princes and Princesses of each faction grew annoyed and tired of the fighting started by their parents. They had overthrown their parents and had them executed in order to set an example, they all loved their parents so very much but knew what had to be done.. this was when 3 beings of ultimate power descended from the realm beyond existence to give them guidance.

YueBaiHua(月白花) of the Moon

YinTianHuang(音田皇) of Harmony

TaiHeXian(太河線) of the Sun

With their guidance, they had chosen the top 3 clans to be their avatars.. so the system updated.

(NPC Clan) Yan(炎) Clan of the Sun

(NPC Clan) Feng(峰) Clan of Harmony

(Player Clan) Xie(血) Clan of the Moon

Yep, you are right! My sister and I became one of the three master clans chosen to be avatars, apparently we were the only player clan whom got to the position of Top 3.

"Sis, we are outta ramen again and I don't feel like going to the convenience store alone tonight.. mind if you come with?"

My sister, LingEr(鈴儿) had asked, when my beloved sister asks like that, I am unable to refuse.. so we left the house to walk to the nearby convenience store. That was when a horn suddenly sounded while we were half way there.. and everything went black.
