Prologue
The wind blew strongly that night, bringing with it a cold that penetrated to the bones. The moon, high in the sky, illuminated with its pale light the ruins of what was once a great kingdom. The collapsed stones and rubble were the only witnesses to a glorious past, now reduced to a whisper in the wind.
Kaito walked across the desolate landscape, his footsteps echoing in the darkness. It wasn't the first time he had found himself in a place like that, and he knew it wouldn't be the last. Since the system had been activated within him, he knew that he would travel through numerous worlds, each with its own tragic destiny, each waiting to be saved.
But this time, there was something different. Something in the air, in the way the moon shone over the ruins, told him that this world had more at stake, that the weight of his mission was greater than anywhere else.
Kaito was no hero. He hadn't been in his previous life, and he wasn't now. He had been a simple medical student, someone who dreamed of a quiet and normal life. But fate had other plans for him. That storm, that accident that had torn him away from his previous life, had been just the beginning of something much bigger.
His memories of that day were fragmented, but the feelings were clear: fear, desperation, the pain of knowing that everything had ended in an instant. And then, the darkness. But when he woke up, he was neither in hell nor in heaven, but in a new world, with a second chance. Or so he had believed at first.
The system that had manifested within him gave him no time to grieve or adapt. From the first day, he made it clear that he had a mission: to change the destiny of the worlds he visited. But what at first seemed like a blessing will soon become a burden. Each world he would visit, each mission he would complete, left him with the feeling that he was only following the game of the one who created the system there. He did not know if changing the fate of the world would cause chaos or order, but what he did know was that whatever the situation would be. In this case he would always try to help his friends that he would create in these worlds.
Now, standing among the ruins, Kaito felt strange. The system would be your guide, your companion on this endless journey.
The wind howled again, raising a cloud of dust that swirled around them. Kaito stopped, looking towards the horizon. In the distance, he could see the faint glow of a small moonlight dotting the ruins, the only sign of life in that vast desert of ruins, and his first companion on this long Journey.
He murmured, knowing that he was not the only one who would have to face these challenges but that everyone who got involved with him would have to go through a more difficult destiny of which he knew nothing. Leaving those thoughts behind, I approached her who was waiting for him. His arrival into this world had not been an accident, and he knew it. The system had led him to her, and now, more than ever, he needed to discover how to survive in this world and fulfill his mission. And for that she was the key to changing the destiny of this world, but also something else, something that she could not define yet.
The light in the distance flickered, as if calling to him. Kaito clenched his fists, feeling determination burn within him. He didn't know what this world had in store for him, but one thing was certain: that he would live this new life to the fullest and that he would face any threat that appeared.
With one last glance at the ruins, Kaito began walking towards the filtering light, his mind focused on the mission ahead. The wind continued to blow, carrying with it the echoes of the past, but Kaito did not look back.
He had left many things behind in his previous life, but here, in this world, he had a new opportunity.
