Chapter 44 - Phoenix regression.

To describe what happens earlier is that when the Phoenix was at the moment of assimilating with Jean Grey where the two needed to be one and where they focus at each other but Erix appeared disrupting the assimilation and part of it cling into Erix that force to create a bond between the two allowing them to permanently have connection where even death won't separate since they'll eventually meet.

"If it's fine but then, can try severing our bonds, though, it might would take a while."

Erix wasn't lying since the connection was powerful at his current power as it included part of the Phoenix ability to rebirth. In addition, their soul might be damage if he tries to destroy their connection unless he gain [ Lord of Greed, Mammon ] to remove it since like a skill, it had attached itself to the nuclei core of his soul.

"I don't recommend doing something foolish after what you've done. Unfortunately, it's my neglectance that caused this since I've failed to realize your outside my grasp." The Phoenix spoke slightly angry at Erix but unable to do anything besides speak her mind while Jean Sigh still flustered knowing that the man before her ended up becoming her soul even if by accident.

"I'm sorry, Jean." Erix sincerely apologized while Jean shook her head feeling her heart ache when he felt him genuinely ashamed of what he did despite how weak his reaction at the ordeal. On the other, he felt her emotion coursing within him after they've become soulmates, finding the whole situation to be an interesting one and somewhat felt bad especially how he thought of brainwashing her earlier.

Even how much he twist it thinking he'll save her from the unfortunate future is still a manipulative and selfish decision that he does not regret but rethink his approached more thoroughly.

"No need to apologize, I can feel genuine about it. Though, still strange when I could feel your emotion vastly different than how my telepath."

Jean said with great interest having a feeling that she has known Erix her whole life and felt immense loneliness within his heart as if craving for more and crossing off losing something precious. As if he had enough of losing and wanted to always win.

"If it makes you feel any better, I'll plan a date for us." Erix unconscious wrapped his arms around her waist making their faces inches away from her. The two stared at each other with Jean finding it funny how she struggled looking at his five eyes then heard the Phoenix interrupting their moments.

"Excuse me but can you leave if you don't need anything?"

"Tch. You're a mood killer, Granny bird." Erix was annoyed while the Phoenix annoyed and tried to attack him but he comedically dodges while Jean watches the two with the cosmic Entity chasign Erix in the mindscape.

"Call me a bird one more time and I'll incinerate you!"

"That's where you got annoyed, Birdie!? If that's the case then come get some!"

The personality of the Phoenix had been influenced by her host but more violent and hostile acting like older sister to Erix since the two represent the same thing with the latter having different point of view and stand. Erix wasn't afraid since he couldn't feel any danger from fighting the Phoenix, taking a few minutes in the mindscape to stop Jean finding it entertaining the two fights. Erix had minor wounds and burn marks with the phoenix having womanly shape and gave a satisfied nod and Jean attended to Erix to check his wound.

"Are you alright, Erix?" Jean was worried not even thinking how strange that she didn't see Erix, a stranger and he didn't miss the opportunity to act vulnerable to get pampered by jean.

"Gaah Jean protect me from that Brute! Pamper me!" Erix acts rather vulnerable and less serious compared to how he acts when he's leading. He does soften and has laid a personality especially around his woman since getting pampered by them is the best.

"Yes, yes, no need to worry." Jean Grey somewhat unconsciously accepted him and didn't think too hard anymore.

"Hmph! Stop acting, your spiritual form is stronger than normal and this avatar is a lot weaker than I anticipated. It's your fault I could only exert a fraction of this diluted power."

Erix pondered if her mental state had regressed due to interfering with their assimilation since the Phoenix was acting rather violent like Lioness instead of majestic phoenix. She should act more mature if her mind is still the same but now it appears to have changed, turning her more emotional than normal.

"Still, better than being in a cage." Phoenix said then turned to Jean and said.

"Now you've freed me, I'll help you tap into my powers to avoid running amok. You, Damn Lizard, help her by sparring."

"I have a name, you know." Erix let go of Jean Grey and stopped playing around and said.

"I will but before that, there are a few things I want to know."

"Make it quick, we've already taken too much time in the mindscape."

"Do you know Veldanava?" Erix wondered if every other creature in the omni-universe knew each other while the Phoenix nodded.

"I'm aware of other entities outside of our cosmology but we, within what mortals know our world as Marvel universe cannot go outside of it. However, I do not take notes of outside events besides my own domain and authority." Erix nodded and thanked her before he and Jean left the mindscape leaving the Phoenix on her own and said.

"What kind of being turned, even me into its chess piece. For such beings gain great interest in meager demi-god from weak universes."

It thought to itself feel fear for the first time in countless eons only to experience it at the first iteration of her cosmology when she was still young and fresh where ideas of rebirth had yet widespread. Only when the Seventh iteration of the cosmos did she gain immense power.

"Now, my main body is unaware and can't contact the one above all. My only option is to let my host reach the crown before that man reaches the throne." It's before waiting until the time comes when she's able to train her host in reaching the white crown.

Outside the barrier, Raven and Erina felt awkward as one was socially incapable due to her upbringing while the same can be said to the former as she has been far too isolated that it made difficult for her to make any meaningful conversation.

"So, is there a reason why your nickname is God Tongue?" Raven felt tense despite her stoic expression while Erina was a bit surprised but happily told her the reason.

"I mention it when we discussing about our world."

"Oh right, does that mean you're a great cook?"

"Great cook? Hmph, as the daughter of the nakiri, of course I'm one of the best."

Erina haughtily said while Raven didn't speak since she feels her emotion and feelings towards her family having a mixture of pride and fear. She didn't mention it since it would be rude and use her power to avoid making this awkward.

"Hope you can teach me. I'm not that good at cooking, considering I've been learning magic since I was young."

"I'll think about it." Erina still acting high while Raven can feel that she is somewhat happy and thought she's the type who been pampered throughout her life.

"How about teaching me magic then?" Raven shook her head and said.

"Sorry but learning magic is dangerous unless you have talent for it. However, I'm unsure if there's other ways to learn magic but my method can be dangerous."

"I-Is that so." Erina was a bit disappointed wanting to learn them and act like a magical girl ever since she started reading manga. Another awkward silence set in as the two couldn't continue their conversation and saw something happening in the barrier making them stand up afraid that something might have happened.

[ Don't move, stay right there. Everything is fine ]

The two were surprised looking at each as they had heard a voice and quickly asked who they were and immediately replied.

{ I'm Amaia, Erix's Third Wife. }

[ I'm Arryn, his second wife. ]

'How can you speak to us? Shouldn't it only be us? Do you know about the chat group?' Raven asked.

[ We're part of Erix soul that transcend space and time. ]
