The door to her room opened slowly and Bai Liyue saw that it was her mom.
"Mother," she called out lightly.
Mei Lin gasped the moment she entered the room. Tears began to fill her eyes as she gaped at her beautiful daughter. She looked so pretty, so beautiful, so breathtaking. It was at this moment the realization that her daughter was going to get married and start her own family began to set in her mind.
"Ziyue, my child....." she cried and walked towards her. "You look so beautiful. You are definitely the prettiest bride that I have ever seen in my life."
"Thank you, Mother."
"I think the groom might not be able to take his eyes off you the moment he sees you," Mei Lin joked. "Maybe, he might even faint."
However, Bai Liyue didn't react at all. Instead, she looked at the big box in her mother's hand and asked. "What's that?"
"Oh! This... I came to give you this," Mei Lin smiled and opened the box.
