CRACKS ON MY MOON

"You are quite the runner despite your short legs, little mate!" He commented sizing her up with his lazor sharp eyes. His Adam apple kept moving with each word that rolled out of his mouth. "Who are you?" She asked with a frown sizing the man up, he looked dangerous, the kinds that made you really want to stay as far away as possible. "Now mate...that hit a really sour spot!" He said hand in his chest to show how hurt he was. He had been running amok for years looking for her yet she didn't even remember who he is! "I don't know what you are talking about Sir!" Maria said bowing her head to him. She could feel his wolf's presence and it didn't give her a good feeling. It was a life she had left behind and didn't want to return to it. Too innocent

After helping him select a black shirt and pants, Neal walked over and presented the set of clothes to him. "You can't walk around naked. It's inappropriate." he cautioned but his Alpha was stubborn. He had no idea how he ended up tied to him in the first place.

Alpha looked at the set and grabbed them to himself before standing to dress up not minding the fact that someone was staring at him. "Why are you here again?" he asked as he pulled the zip to his pants up.

Neal flinched seeing how his Alpha was not paying regard to the fact that the zip could possibly pinch his treasure due to his recklessness. But since he held luck from the moon goddess, he was saved. He sighed.

"What are you looking at!?" He cast Neal an accusing look. "I can't like you so don't even dream about it." his eyes carried traces of disdain.

Neal's face blackened and the muscles on his head were close to popping from anger. While he worried for him, this wolf was letting it's mind run wild! Great! Just great!!!

"What? Displeased?" Alpha asked with a glare and went to sit down and shifted his pair of dissecting eyes to Neal.

Neal sighed internally and shook his head. He didn't have nine lives for that matter! "There are new reports from the other divisions that require your immediate approval. Also this quarters plans are running smoothly and the acquisitions will all be done before the 20th. The managing director from City B also requested to have an audience with you. I tried to refuse but he insisted on talking to you in person." Neal recounted everything that he had to say.

Alpha listened and his mouth twitched before she opened his mouth to speak. "Since I'm in a good mood, bring those reports in. I'll take a look." he lazily leaned back in his seat.

"I'll be back." Neal walked out after confirming that he was willing to go through the reports. In the first years, his Alpha had shredded multi billion euro contracts since he wasn't in a good mood.

At that time, Neal felt his heart clog in his throat at the sight and he dreaded how the human side of his Alpha would take such actions.

It was from that moment on that he dared not bring those reports or contracts without confirming his current mood.

He immediately returned with the reports and stood aside to give an overview on each and every one of them. His expressions kept fluctuating and he knew his ears were to bleed from his irrational words.

"Adjust this to a ratio of 80% to 20%." he spoke and Neal swallowed his tongue. Just like he had thought!

"Alpha isn't that a little...." Neal wanted to save the other party but his words fell on deaf ears.

"Tyrannical? I know. If they refuse, you know the drill." he dismissed and went on to check other documents.

The room was filled with only the sound of papers being flipped and the soft breathes from both men from time to time.

And just like that, Five hours went by in a flash. Neal stood in the office and he felt like his fur had been ruffled and his sanity tasted. He seriously wanted to speak on behalf of their partners but his words seemed to fall relentlessly on deaf ears. Not only that, all these reports needed to be readjusted to his liking and it did not have to affect the already existing schedules not even by a second.

His dreadful days were a breathe away.

"If you are done. Leave." the tyrant dismissed Neal heartlessly.

Right after shuffling his hard work to a mess! I want to quit! Neal almost cried out but he was a beta to this pack and his loyalty couldn't weaver. Swallowing his grievances, he spoke again.

"I also wish to remind you of the Pack Union Convention (PUC) that's due in a few months. Many packs have recently been seeking allies and strengthening their footholds in various regions. I was wondering what you have in mind for this PUC this year." Neal put aside the reports and talked of the pack matters.

The PUC was the largest wolf breed gathering on the planet for the past few centuries. Packs from all over the planet would come under one roof. Enemity was put on the sidelines and connections were made, new laws were drafted and leeways were given. Most packs looked forward to this event that lasted up to a month and many couldn't wait for this event to happen.

"My intention is going to remain the same. Just do like you've always done, no need to ask for my opinion." the Alpha's eyes dimmed..Five years...

"A few packs hoped to collaborate with us and there's a number of requests coming in lately.."

"Haha.. Lycans and the weres don't mix, Neal. Don't tell me you have forgotten that?" The Alpha laughed but his voice carried a trace of disdain and anger.

"I understand Alpha." Neal sighed and walked out. Seems like this matter wasn't one that would die away even after so many years. He really wanted to help his Alpha but there was a limit to the bridges he could cross. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't considered a close friend and his relationship with the Alpha was that of superior and subordinate.

As soon as the door was shut close, Alpha's eyes flickered dangerously and a deep breathe left his pursed lips. "Our agreement seems to be coming to an end." a bone chilling voice left his mouth only to be answered with silence.

Maria dropped by her children's school after her outing and patiently waited to pick up her children. She didn't get out of the car and reclined on the seat to let her mind wander off.

She didn't know what exactly happened with her biological father...was it the reason she couldn't shift? If so, why?

The time she spent in the pack after being dethroned was enough for her to learn that her father indeed was a werewolf. However, she seemed to lack that string of bloodline in her. She was already more sentive than the humans by alot amd her circumstances were a while lot different. She was neither a human nor wolf but wolves could tell which drove her to the edge of the wolf chain. Even an omega was better than her.

With her eyes shut, she searched in the abyss of her consciousness but there was only darkness. Not a single flicker of an existence was there...she sighed and gave up.

Knock knock knock

The sound drew her attention and her obsdain black eyes flickered open. There was someone standing outside her car knocking on the window.

The man looked back at Maria and she frowned, her eyes shot to the building where her children were at then back to the stranger.

She opened the door and the man who was clad in a black suit with and a secretary aura stepped away to let her come out.

"How may I help you?" Maria asked carefully as she assessed the man from head to toe. He was also doing the same but in a subtle way.

He didn't understand why his boss had to got through all this trouble to find this woman who didn't seem anything special.

"Are Miss Maria Moon?" he asked with his cold and unfeeling voice and Maria frowned.

Why did it feel like this man had a grudge on her when they were meeting for the first time?!

"Who are you?" she asked and her voice wasn't polite at all. The man before her was human in all senses and he didn't happen to have the scent of any wolf on him. She wasn't afraid as he was a simple thing to handle if he dared to act like a rogue.

The man was taken aback by her cold respemsobut realised he stated all of this, he bit down the bile in his stomach and searched her eyes one more time before presenting a brown envelope to her.

It was only now that she noticed this envelope. "My boss asked me to hand this over to you. He hopes you'll find time off your busy schedule to meet him." he said respectfully puzzling Maria.

He looked at her expression and saw the vigilance dancing in them and was greatly surprised. "My boss has no ill intent towards you." That was as far as he knew, the rest would naturally depend on how she presented herself when she encountered him in the future.

Maria didn't take the envelope from him and only looked at it before looking back into the man's eyes. "I'm sorry sir but i don't know who you people are and I naturally won't take what you give me for whatever reason. I hope you wont come to find me ever again." She didn't know if it was some sort of company rival tactic to win her over but her intuition told her taking that envelope wouldn't end her up in dirty waters.

Miss Moon!" the man was flustered upon her refusal and he tried to stop her from getting back into her car but a cold chill run down his spine halting his actions and he immediately sensed danger. Her turned to look for the source only to see a man standing by the door of a building.

Their eyes locked into a staring contest!

The man stared at the stranger then at Maria and after a short scan, she could see she was well and fine. He let out a silent sight of relief.

But the human couldn't stand down in a glaring contest against a beast. In a few seconds, he had backed down and immediately flee to his vehicle before starting it and leaving as soon as possible.

Sydney watched the man scurry off and knew she was saved. She looked back at the man who was the teacher of her children and smiled at him with gratitude. Things like this happened from time to time, it was inevitable!

He nodded in understanding and stepped aside. Three black faced cupcakes stepped out from behind their teacher and looked towards their mother with worry but knowing her, they couldn't show it. They masked their anger with innocence and ran over to her side and bumped into her in a hug almost knocking her over. Luckily, they knew how to control their power which was just fine for her to hold them over in a group hug.

Too bad they couldn't speak or else they'd have called out to her.

"You guys had a great day?" she asked with a big smile wanting to scoop Queen up but the girl slipped past her and ran over to the car and looked at her mother to open the door.

"Hur hur hur..." she let out and embarrassed laughter and went to open the door. Her cubs completely gave her no face at all!

The teacher lowered his gaze and dared not to look at the three children interact with their mother. He didn't know if those three were too sly or their mother was too innocent!
