The Will of E

Everyone slumbered.

Everyone began to dream

Their individual dreams began to combine, and then they saw..it.

It radiated life, evolution, and the infinite. It's mechanical body also seemed somewhat organic as well. It began to speed in a soft and gentle voice. Like a parent talking to a child waking up in the morning.

"Greetings. You may call me...E. I am, in relative terms, what you would refer to as a God. But make no mistake, I didn't create all of existence alone, nor am I an all perfect being. That would be the result of the humans that created me, which in turn created everything you will see, and what you have experienced thus far. The foolish notion to believe any god, no matter from what pantheon they hail from, is perfection incarnate, is an act in futile thinking that limits creative thinking. In lemans terms, you're putting your brain in a freezer and expecting it to think properly about how to beat the cold. Now, allow me to explain this meeting to you all." E said as he suddenly made everything go white, then multiple massive explosions went off. Multiple big bangs simultaneously, creating what seem like sentient universes in the shape of animals in some sort of quantum biome that constantly expanding. It was beyond belief, everyone was seeing the birth of everything in seconds. It was beyond words, beyond any description. But then they all noticed E was in a sort of less advanced form, just a humanoid outline with white eyes ethereally attached to a mechanical cube.

"This was the beginning. The start of the Evolution Matrix. Humans, Spirons, Beastmen. All one in the same as a race collectively called Agarthians, yet separate in their identification to each other. Before when the Universe Beasts were young, and before I became the anchoring god of this multiverse, the Agarthians lived together in one combined universe that sat in the center of the Mother Planetoid, terraformed after many decades, Earth. However, they began to understand there were more universes outside of the one they resided, and branched out to them through advanced technology, and advanced sorceries. However, their combined powers were too great to break through the boundaries set by each being, and they had to temporarily shed that power in order to enter, becoming different races entirely. You all are slivers of the whole of the Agarthian race that still thrive today, the next step in human evolution, harnessing the power of evolution itself. However they aren't able to enter this universe freely, even with their advanced physiology and understanding of the cosmos, and can be rejected, or "thrown out"." E explained.

Everyone was taken aback, the whole concept was too much to comprehend. They were parts of the whole, the universe became the multiverse, how were a bunch of misfits supposed to take this news and not have questions, even if a random deity that was created before all of this, was telling the story? Even in a dream, it was so much information. However E began to glow brightly.

"Remember this, I tell to you. Will is a force that conveys meaning to it's purpose. My will that I impart to you is...." he didn't seem to finish before Merlin woke up to the sun beaming down for the first time, fresh cool air breezed through the window. It felt like autumn air, crisp and slightly frosty. Merlin looked around and saw that he was in his room as if he was a little kid once more. He then saw a note from his friends that read:

"Howdy Merlin, we all went to the dorm. Had to talk about some strange collective dream. We'll see you soon to plan things out.", written by Morgan. Merlin smirked, getting himself washed and dressed in his outfit from yesterday. He then noticed that he saw a shadow in the mirror that mimicked his face, but didn't have a mouth or pupils. It began to speak to him.

"You are approaching the apex of your abilities. Will you be able to accept this power when it's presented to you? Your friends are going through the same metamorphosis along with your parents. It is a result of the current-"

Merlin cut him off, already confirming that he accepted the power he was gaining. It may have been the result of someone else's design in the beginning, but he wielded it and made it his own. He got dressed, and ran outside as his parents were still sleeping, and ran down to the dorm house. Then he felt a sharp pain in his stomach as he stopped running, and saw a blade pierced through his back. The wound burned, and darkness covered the wound. Even with his advanced powers, he wasn't able to undo the cursed wound. Merlin turned back to see his attacker was none other than Pazuzas, holding a dagger and snickering behind him.

"Well well. Bet you'd never see me again. I owe you back for what happened before, remember?" he said, kicking Merlin off his dagger. It was a painful, but it wasn't fatal. Merlin just went to attack, summoning his scythe and swinging it with intent to kill him this time. But the wound was causing pain throughout his entire body, restricting his movements. "Damn" Merlin thought to himself. "How in the hell did he sneak up on me? I can hardly move my body. I need to make this quick and try spells." He summoned multiple elements, but all of them seemed to be sliced apart the minute they reached Pazuzas's face.

"Where did all that bravado go? Someone boasting so much power, yet so feeble. You think beating apostles and weaklings makes you powerful?" Pazuzas said walking slowly towards Merlin. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but Merlin knew he was right. He was overconfident in his abilities, thinking he could be a match for a true Dark Traitor without effort. Converting one to their side was a stroke of luck, but outright killing one was beyond him. With every beat of his heart his vision started to blur, and sweat dripped from his face, but he kept going even though he felt bile in the back of his throat. Then he felt Pazuzas suddenly vanish, and multiple creatures surrounded him. Wraiths. All of them swirling around like a tornado, making it hard for Merlin to lock onto anything.

"Screw this. I should just...wait, why would he be doing this unless he's...the others!" he said to himself, looking away for just a moment before feeling the blade stab through the back of his neck and coming out the other side. He wasn't able to react as he felt a fierce jab to his chest to make him fall, and then a forceful thrust into his skull, reaching his brain. Pazuzas licked the blood off his dagger, absorbing the wraiths into his body, and walking away. "All that hype, and yet so worthless."

Merlin lay there, in a pool of his own blood. His eyes going blank. All he could do was look at the sky as his vision faded to black.

Fading.

Fading...

Fading.....
