Silas was lying on the bed in his cell, staring at the roof as moonlight from outside the window shone in.
"It's done," Silas thought as he looked at the walls where the bars were attached. He removed only one bar so it'll be enough for him to go through when the time comes.
"Who are you?! Hey, stop...!"
Silas sat up as he heard the security officer on patrol. His voice was muffled, and he frowned as he stood up.
"They're already here," he mumbled and immediately removed the bar gently before putting it back and using a thin piece of iron to fit the missing part.
He then followed a straight path away from the noise and went to a window and looked down at the yard.
There were people in black running into the prison, their steps were silent, and their red masks were scary.
"I thought this prison was supposed to be one of the safest," Silas thought.
He could see unconscious guards on the floors, and the ones in the building probably didn't even know what was going on. They wanted to come in and go out quietly.
"How did you get out here?"
Silas looked back and saw the blonde-haired Sierra staring at him with her sky-blue eyes, and he placed a finger on her mouth.
He pulled her close as he whispered in her ear.
"The Asakira gang is already inside the prison, and they're looking for me. You should go back to your cell; I'm leaving this place," he said to her, and she held his shirt as he was about to jump out of the window.
"Let me come with you," she said, her expression fierce.
As he heard her words, Silas frowned as he blinked.
"How did you get out of your cell?" he asked, and the woman only smiled at him while looking sideways.
"Argh!!"
Hearing a shout not far away from them, Silas looked at her.
"Can you go down yourself?" he asked, and she shook her head.
He then carried her on his back before he came out of the window. She held him tightly, and he led the way.
Dangling off of that point, he located the window below him and he left his hand and fell towards it. He descended from the first floor that way, and now they reached the ground floor.
"Follow me," Silas said, and they went around the large building.
They soon saw two men walking around, as if on patrol. Both were in ninja outfits, holding guns in their hands while they had katanas sheathed on their backs.
Silas hid in a corner, and Sierra followed. She observed the two weirdly dressed individuals and then frowned.
Silas signaled her to keep quiet, and then as the men were about to pass them, Silas came out of cover, targeting the first one's neck.
The men, not hearing anything, let their guards down a little as they knew that their target was within the prison.
The first man was knocked out with a single jab to the neck, and the second one saw Silas' knee coming to his face, knocking him back.
He grunted as he struggled to see, and then another hit landed on his neck, knocking the man out.
Sierra was amazed by watching a professional assassin take down two ninjas easily. She went towards him, and they circled the entire building to reach the entrance, knocking out multiple men quietly and efficiently.
They soon got to the entrance and saw three men standing by the gate. Considering the distance from their cover spot to the gate, they wouldn't make it and would be shot at before they got there.
"We won't get there safely," Sierra whispered, and Silas nodded.
They were in a dark corner, and beyond here, there were light poles that shone on the entire area.
Silas threw a small stone towards one of the men, and then after feeling it and hearing the sound, the three of them looked in their direction and readied their guns as they walked towards them.
Silas took a katana from Sierra and then waited.
"I got this," Sierra said, and she walked forward, confusing Silas with her behavior.
"Who the fuck are you?" one of the men said and pointed the gun at her. She knelt down on the floor and raised her hands.
"I'm looking for the restroom," she said with a sad face, and tears began to slide from her eyes.
The men lowered their guns as they saw this scene and walked towards her.
"Where did you come from?" one of the men grabbed her hair and pulled her up, causing her to squeal.
'Now!' Silas finally found an opportunity.
He went forward, slicing the men's hands which they would use to pull their triggers.
One, two, three.
He hit all three of them in less than two seconds and then proceeded to quickly slash at their throats to silence them.
Sierra witnessed Silas' brutality as he took care of the men without blinking, his expression remaining fierce.
"Come on," he said in a low tone and left the gate along with her, and then they found various bikes outside the gates.
"Hm? These are the latest soundless motorcycles," Sierra said as she looked at them.
"They're perfect. Can you drive one?" Silas asked, and then Sierra nodded.
She got on one, located a part below the steering handles, and then pulled two wires out and touched them together.
The bike's light suddenly lit up, and then Silas got on it behind her, and she drove away from the prison towards the city.
...
Inside the prison, a particular man in a red mask took off his mask to reveal his face still hidden in a ninja mask.
He looked at the security officers; one in particular was beside him.
It was the one who was always monitoring Silas' every move; turns out he's working with the Asakira.
"Take me to him," the man demanded, and the security man nodded and took them to where Silas' cell was.
"Hm?"
"What happened?" The ninja walked forward as he saw the security man's confused expression.
"This... This is his cell," the security man was shocked as he saw the cell empty, and he saw a drill on the bed.
The ninja man pulled on a bar where he saw an external attachment, and it was ripped off easily.
"He knew we were coming. Of course, the black only wouldn't make himself such an easy target," the man said, and three ninjas behind him were shocked too.
Before coming, they were told that this was one of the most secure prisons in all of Nigeria, and for Silas to escape within one day...
"Tell me everything about him. We only know his name," he said to the security man.
"The rest of you, search the premises!" he shouted at the three ninjas, and they nodded before they left his side.
However, they came back a while later and reported ten of their men knocked out and three dead.
I'll be posting one chapter per day for now. It'll increase at the beginning of next month.
