Ren stood by outside of the AAA while Ms. Croft walked over to the entrance.
"Can you hear me?" asked Ms. Croft. She had a mini transmitter in her ear which was barely visible to the naked eye.
"Loud and clear." Ren responded. He had one as well. They cost a fortune, but they worked perfect for what they were about to do.
Ms. Croft walked in the building and walked up to the reception desk.
"Hello, I have come to meet with someone named Isabella Carter," declared Ms. Croft. The receptionist looked a bit surprised at this.
"Hold on a second miss, I have to contact my supervisor." The receptionist picked up the phone on the desk and dialed.
"Um, sir. I have a civilian here who asked for Ms. Isabella Carter by name."
"What? How does she have the identity of our top hacker?! What is she here for?" asked the voice from the supervisor.
"Why do you want to see her exactly?" questioned the receptionist.
"I have a phone here that I need her to hack, it has some information on it that could be very useful to this Association."
"Um, what information?"
"This particular phone used to belong to someone from Burtgundy facility," answered Ms. Croft.
"Did she just say Burtgundy facility?" blurted the supervisor.
"Yes sir."
"How does she know that facility? That is top secret information. Hold on. Myself and two agents will be down shortly to escort her to Ms. Carter. Meanwhile, put on an ability restraint bracelet on her."
"Sir, why don't we just take the phone?"
"We need to know how she has that information as well as how she got a hold of that phone. There were no survivors except for Ren Lennon. Plus, we need all the information we can get on that case."
"I could also get a promotion!" hoped the supervisor.
"Understood sir."
The receptionist slapped a bracelet on Ms. Croft. She immediately felt her ability power diminish. The elevator door opened and three men emerged. Two were in black suits while one was in a gray suit.
"I'm guessing you're the supervisor," Ms. Croft directed at the man in the gray suit.
"Yes miss...?" replied the supervisor.
"Ms. Doverman." Ms. Croft filled in.
"Ms. Doverman. If you would please follow us. We will take you to see Ms. Carter." The supervisor led the way. Ms. Croft followed him with the two other agents behind her and entered the elevator.
"Ms. Doverman. How do you have that phone and how do you know about the facility?" questioned the supervisor.
"Let me see what's on the phone and then I'll answer your questions," replied Ms. Croft playfully.
"This woman is freaking hot! I'll play along," thought the supervisor.
"Any question?" he asked.
"Any question." she confirmed.
The supervisor smiled and looked back towards the elevator's doors. "Deal."
The elevator doors opened to the fiftieth floor. Still dark, they walked through the hallway to where Ms. Isabella Carter worked. Ms. Croft checked to make sure there wasn't anyone else nearby. They entered her workspace and the supervisor introduced the two as Ms. Croft handed over the phone. Isabella was about to plug in the phone, but...
Pew, pew, pew!
All three men collapsed with a dull thud, bullet holes through their heads, blood leaking out.
"Don't scream or you're going to die next." warned Ms. Croft as she shut the door; pointing a pistol with a silencer at Isabella.
Isabella's eyes widened as she began to grow frightened.
"You guys should really have metal detectors. Just because people have abilities, doesn't mean they are obsolete," Ms. Croft pointed out. "Now, you're going listen and do everything I say. Ren I'm in. Standby."
"Got it." confirmed Ren.
"You're working with Ren, the one who killed all those people?" Isabella gasped.
"That's right. Now you're going to alter the video to an older recording. Got it?" Isabella nodded as she went to work. Isabella finished in about two minutes. "That was fast! You're good. Now locate two people named Lorraine Flanagan and Eric Sykes."
"Found them, they are being held on the floor below. The second floor below the lobby, cells eight and nine," Isabella informed Ms. Croft.
"Did you get that Ren?"
"Yep, I'm headed in."
"Now, Isabella, alter all the video feeds and erase my existence of ever being here," ordered Ms. Croft. Isabella obeyed her and went to work.
Ren walked in the facility; hood over his head as he headed for the elevator.
"Um sir, you can't just go in the elevator, we need to check you in and..." Ren ignored whatever the receptionist was saying.
"Hey Ms. Croft, the receptionist saw your face, right?" asked Ren.
"That's right, I'll take care of him, when I leave."
"That's ok, I'll take care of him right now."
WHOOSH!
Ren slit the receptionist's neck with one swift movement of his hand, then continued towards the elevator. The receptionist's body collapsed to the ground, blood flowing out from his neck onto the floor.
Some woman screamed, alerting the agents of what happened, if they didn't see it. Ren pressed the button and waited for the elevator doors to open as the agents only just started to react.
"STOP THAT MAN!" yelled an agent. "CONTACT THE HEAD OF THE ASSOCIATION!"
"I'm sorry, to do this, but you have my friends," stated Ren as all the agents present rushed towards him.
The elevator doors opened. Ren stepped in and pushed the button to close the doors. As the elevator doors closed, he pulled off the hood covering his head, exposing his face as he smiled at the agents hurrying towards him.
The elevator doors closed, blocking any ranged attacks thrown at Ren. Ren looked at the button panel and pushed a red colored 2 that was listed below the lobby floor.
"Good thing these doors are magic resistant," commented Ren as he waited for the elevator to reach its destination. "I'm coming Lorraine, Eric."
