"That old gizzard found his way to you?" Braith asked. There was humor in her voice.

And it confused Seth. Still, he said, "so you really have a brother? For a second there, I thought he may have been lying or must have gotten something mixed up... you know what she can do to people especially one that had fought battles."

"You have a mean streak," Braith said.

He had a smirk on his face while his eyes remained closed as he focused more on the delightful conversation he was having with his mother.
