The Difference
Eduoard could not understand why his creature was staying in one place. He flipped his hands and curled his fingers, even pronouncing more incantations to get the smoke form to do his bidding, but nothing came out of what he did. All his efforts proved futile.
Eduoard could not understand what was happening. He lifted his staff to his mouth and spoke upon it over and over again. Yet, nothing happened. The smoke creature remained frozen as if something was stopping it from working or even moving an inch.
His head started to feel as if it was expanding. He was under pressure and the feeling of impending disappointment washed over him thoroughly. To say that Eduoard was confused would be an understatement as he continued to try all he could but nothing worked.
The pope continued to utter words of command and he could see the smoke form begin to dissipate and glitch. Even he was surprised but it didn't show in his voice or on his face.
