Learning curve

After waiting a short while looking at a menu which is unreadable a wait comes over to serve him.

"Hi there what can I get you?"

Leo looks at the waiter thinking of something to say

"Sorry I cant decide right now can you give me some more time."

The waiter looking at Leo.

"Can I get you a drink."

Leo looks back at the menu for answers.

Leo couldn't be any happy to the sound of command saying these words.

Looking at the menu now he can read it all, reading down the list, he reads the words brisket feeling that he knows what this might be he orders it.

"Can I have the ginger brisket with a glass of water please."

The waiter looking speechless for a moment.

"Certainly that's 15 ruze."

He touches wrist with the waiter.

Whilst waiting for his food he decides to ask Command a question.

"Command can you buy any chance analyse the people in the bar and see the difference between there appendix and mine."

Command replying.

"I can do a deep analysis on all spectrum's which will cover only 30ft it will cost 400kj."

Looking at his kj balance reading 5000kj be decides to go head with it.

"Start scan."

Whilst waiting for the scan and food be pays attention to the conversations around him.

"How was your trip?"

"It was tough this time we encountered a Criton."

"WHAT!!! how did you manage to get away from that."

"Interestingly enough walking with the group it pounced into the middle of the road, it turned toward us then we saw a swarm of Wigan come out the forest and in a blink of a eye they encased the Wigan stunned by what was happening in front of us we had a brief moment to set up a shimmer."

"So what happened next?"

"The Wigan sucked them all into its mouth using what looked like gravity being concentrated in the center of it mouth then mincing them with its teeth it was unbelievable."

"I had heard that they had a special ability."

"but what happened next I'd never seen or heard one do, it literally after swallowing all the Wigan pulled it's own body into its mouth vanishing."

"That's something I've never heard or seen in any tablet."

"Me neither I went to the hunter association and recorded it on the eye, they paid me a handsome sum to."

The man shows his wrist to the other man Leo manages to glimpse this seeing the number 105,073.

"Couldn't believe that finding new info on the Helm creature would pay so well."

"Not that anyone would ever take that up as a thing haha."

"They would be mad to do so even seasoned hunters don't do anything that dangerous."

Hearing the last word before two waiters carrying his food with another carrying his drink put it on the table, he looks at the meal in front of him which looks like half of a grown cows ribs on a giant plate covered in a green sauce.

Looking at this mammoth dish he doesn't know where to start or if it will taste nice.

He picks up the basic cutlery and starts at one end of the dish and starts cutting bite size chunks of it.

After eating for about 30 mins a d drink a full pint glass of water, staring at the dish with only a eighth eaten definitely thinking he has ordered to much, the strange thing is that he doesn't feel full so asking the waiter as he walks by to get him another glass of water he keeps eating as he feels it would only go to waste anyway.

After about four hours the dish that was put in front of him is finished amazed at what he has eaten be sits back in the seat with a feeling of a accomplishment grins to him self.

A man takes a seat in front of him dressed with a red apron and with a green shirt underneath, looks at Leo.

"Well I'll be damned couldn't believe it when the order came through for it, I asked the waiter who had ordered it, he told me one man, but hearing that you had finished it was more amazing, the names Leon."

Leo smiles saying.

"Well I couldn't be rude and not eat it."

Leon taking in a deep breath with a burst of laughter.

"Your a funny one ain't ya, not even the Cerberus can finish that meal off."

The entire pub hearing this looks his way as he does.

"I can't believe he ate it all."

The one of the group early saying to one another.

Leon carry's on talking.

"So you must be some hunter, although I ain't seen any hunter eat that much before."

Looking at Leon he just laughs back.

"Well that's a funny story."

After about a four hours of chatting to Leon telling him about what he went through but not divulging to much information.

Leon laughs.

"Well that's not a story you hear every day, being able to get away from the , very lucky or extremely talented."

Leo giving a quick glance around the bar seeing only a quarter of the people in there from earlier.

"So what time is it?"

Leon startled by what he had just heard he quickly tells home to be quite.

"Shhh! Don't say that, do you want to die?"

Leo perplexed by the response given plays the words over in his head.

"I'm sure I only asked for the time."

Noticing that he had definitely said something wrong, he apologizes.

"Erm sorry."

Leon whispers.

"You should no you can't talk about time."

Leo feeling even more perplexed.

"Sorry I'm not from around here, I'm a traveler."

Leon Whispers.

"What! look don't talk about it."

Leo noticing the colour fading out of Leon's face he knows that this is not a subject he can freely ask questions about.

Not knowing what to say to Leon he stays quite, but ask Command.

"Command is there something I've missed here?"

Command replying.

"By the expression and tone looking into all data from earth he is afraid of something by the description of Time, this is making his heart race faster than normal and his blood pressure has risen and eye dilation has expanded indicating a deep sense of fear."

Seeing the sweat forming on his head he decide to change the subject.

"The Helm, I hear a lot of people talking about it, what is it?"

Leon calming down but his face changing to a perplexed look.

"You're parents never told you about The Helm?"

Noticing that Leo has a look of vagueness on his face.

"Its the forbidden zone, supposedly from where all the creatures originate.

No one as ever got close enough to explore it, the creatures started appearing 70 generations ago."

Pausing to signal one fo the waiters to bring him a drink.

"We already have are fair share of creatures to have to deal with, the good thing about the creature not from the Helm, none of them can control magic."

The waiter putting down what looks like a pint of beer and me another water.

"We get a mass Swarm of the creatures every 15000 years or so, the last was only 1000 years back.

So there wont be another attack for a while.

This is usually when Hunters that are feeling a little daring try to gather more info on the Helm."

Looking out the window watching the last few Ray's of sunshine fade to darkness, as this happens the crystals near the ceiling in the pub, start to glow with a glow of orange light.

Leon drinking up stood and said to Leo.

"Well I best go clean up, it's getting late it will be night soon, it can get dangerous at night so be careful."

Leo stands in response.

"Yeah I'm going to go back to the inn anyways."

The real reason for him going was hearing the sweat words of Command.

"Scan complete, prepared to give a full detailed analysis when your ready."

Leon says waving bye.

"Come by soon,it was nice talking to you."

Leo leaves the bar walking back to the inn.

Whilst looking around he sees the Crystal's that are glowing with a very soft orange light making the settlement look very cozy. It feels like your surrounded by an forest, because of how the roofs are made, he had only noticed the vines growing on the buildings, because flowers having a slight glow to them which added to the ambiance.

After getting back to the inn and being greeted by Lizzie he goes to his room and gets undressed leaving his trouser on.

Sitting on the edge of the bed he thinks back about the clothes store and the fact that it had no underwear, this was a bizarre thing he had noticed he felt the a lot more freedom around his groin but the notion wasn't a pleasant.

After thinking about this he decides to review the data from the bar.

"Command can you show me the data from the bar?"

Command replying.

"Bringing all data from the bar in a window in the HUD for you too analyse."

A window appears in the HUD in front of him, it floods with data on everything that was with in a 30ft radius.

"Command can you categories the data"

The windows begins to organise the data and within the blink of a eye it was categorized.

Neatly down one side of the window a list of categories.

Leo gestures and opens up -All life- with a gesture.

This bring up a list of scanned life categorized human 1 and so on all the way up too 35 in one column, at the side of this creature 1 to 5.

Leo selects one of the human scans which brings up a window with a 3d scan of the human and a list of parameters, this included all basic info but the more prominent info.

Looking at his own data he was very surprised to see that overall he was better in every way.

"Command why is my body better?"

"The reason for your body being better than other humans of this world, is that before you entered this body, I built it with host data and overall enhancing it to make the transition easier."

Surprised by this he was grateful.

Leo hearing goes back to the sub menu list and gesture to Leon's scan.

Reading the data Leo was surprised by it, wondering as to why a human had better data than him, even though he had been enhanced past normal human parameters.

"Command is there a reason his body has passed normal human levels?"

"The Speculation I have is due to the appendix and the ability to use magic that the individual has trained past normal human levels, this is only possible due to the long life span here."
