Alpha, higher kin

"Alpha."

Immediately, the wolf girl felt a sudden change in her body, and although Luminis couldn't quite tell instantly, she was slowly evolving.

Her black hair grew longer, her body began to take a more beautiful shape, her eyes turned red and her face was even more beautiful than before.

Luminis was left speechless as he stared at her form for a while, it was like he was standing in front of a completely different person.

Meanwhile, the newly named Alpha was rather calm about the whole scenario and not nearly as surprised as Luminis.

"Heheh~, now Alpha can follow you anywhere you go! You don't have to worry about those leeches anymore." Alpha uttered with a smug look on her face and her arms resting beside her waist.

"You…really do… look different." Luminis blurted out.

"I guess so." Alpha responded, her eyes searching her body, "It feels like Alpha's body has been reborn, but at the same, Alpha doesn't feel any different than before".

"I see…" Luminis sighed, "Now that you've gotten a name, you agree to leave the forest?" He asked.

"Absolutely!".

"Very well then, well leave tomorrow morning, but first, let's go hunt, I'm starving".

*The next day*...

Luminis and Alpha had packed thier things and were now set on journing out of the forest to the countryside to have a more easier life.

According to what his system, Aril had told him, to leave the forest would take them about 2-4 days/hours depending on how their travel goes.

So, Luminis planned to take shelter in the nearest village or town he could find before resuming his travels.

And so he did, after half a day of walking through the forest, and climbing cliffs with his companions, they finally arrived at a village.

It was a bit bigger than what he had expected, the front wooden gates had two women, dressed in an armor like outfit with weapons in their hands.

'Aril? What do you think?' Luminis asked, while he and Alpha were hiding in the bushes where they could get a good view of the guards.

[This village is known as Rizaha, it's inhibited by Valkyries, fallen warriors of the God Odin,]

'Odin? The Norse god?'

[Affirmative.]

'Don't know why I'm surprised, but I am,' Luminis turned his gaze towards Alpha, he placed his finger on his lips, telling her to keep quiet, which she nodded in understanding to.

Slowly, Luminis stepped out of the bushes, the rustling immediately drew the attention of the women standing in front of the gates.

"Who's there?! Show yourself!" One of the women yelled, pointing her spear towards the direction where Luminis was.

He walked out completely, his arms raised to the sky, "I come in peace".

"What's a business here? And why were you sneaking around?" The same woman again.

"I was wondering, could my friend and I perhaps spend the night here, see we have to get to Fiona to meet our families, but we hardly have any supplies or a place to spend the night." Luminis spoke, a serious expression on his face as I stood at a point.

"We don't take accommodation here, now…" The girl's eyes suddenly widened in shock, almost like she saw danger right in front of her.

Acting on instinct, she slashed her spear in the air and immediately leaped back, flames formed from the slash dashed forward, burning the ground in front of Luminis.

'Uhn….?' Luminis a bit taken aback by the unexpected attack moved back,

The girl landed on the ground, fear still hitched on her face before she yelled at the top of her voice,

"What in the hell are you?!!!".

The second girl reacted, drawing out her sword, she also had the same reaction, both of them giving off the vibes they were ready to fight to the death.

Ahhhhrgh!!!.

From within the bushes charged Alpha, her eyes glowing, claws and fangs out as her body sped towards the women.

Before any single one of them could react, Alpha punched one of them in the face, the blow sending her flying and crashing inside the village.

"No! Damn you!!!"

The girl screamed ragefully, sending a spinning kick to Alpha who immediately blocked it but the force still sent her flying.

"Shit!"

Luminis charged forward.

The girl, her spear pointed at Alpha's body that was still in mid air, began to summon her magic, a huge ball of fire formed at the tip of her spear and with a powerful yell, she sent it speeding forward.

The flames charged forward, the pressure from this powerful energy, scraped the ground, breaking it into tiny particles with scorching heat in its trials.

Bushes from far away felt the heat, their leaves burning, with powerful wind blowing from within the fireball.

Luminis showed up, his arms wrapped around Alpha's back before he landed on the ground, his feet sliding on the ground.

The light from the huge fireball racing towards him glowed on his face, but he kept his cool, his expression calm.

He suddenly stretched his hand forward, his palm opened wide before he let out…
