Chapter Two

"big girl indeed but that doesn`t stop me from entering your room anyhow I like it even when you get married" Mum teased

"I won't permit it," she firmly declared, her mind conjuring the comical image of her mother unexpectedly barging into her and her husband's room while they were intimate. The thought triggered a burst of laughter as she envisioned how amusing that scenario would be.

"Why are you laughing?" her mother inquired, her curiosity piqued by the unexpected burst of amusement."It's nothing, I just had a hilarious thought," she replied, still struggling to contain her laughter as the comical image lingered in her mind.

"Whatever" Elizabeth stressed. She lost interest in whatever her daughter was laughing at.

"Well, get dressed quickly or do you want to miss your flight" Elizabeth scolded while arranging Selma`s bag

"No way!" Selma snapped. She couldn`t think of losing that flight. She would rather go half-dressed instead of missing her flight.

Excitedly, she took out a brand-new skirt and shirt, eager to wear them. As she dressed, a rush of joy overwhelmed her, causing her to break into a spontaneous dance and hum a cheerful tune, relishing the moment of dressing up in her fresh attire.

Elizabeth shook her head on seeing her daughter`s childish behavior

"Mum, is it fine?" Selma asked while turning around for her mom to see a clearer view of the cloth she was wearing.

"it`s fine but-"

"But?" she asked interrupting her mum

"I will love u to wear trousers. You look smart in them and I want you to look smart" Elizabeth explained
