Dante looked below. There was a shiny orb on top of the zombie he killed. It was green in color. The shiny orb surprisingly didn't roll away. It remained on top of the corpse, above its chest, as if floating. Whatever it was, it seemed like it wasn't a solid object with weight, but rather, a weightless substance. This particular orb had been giving off a sense that it was an accumulation of glittering energy.
He bent down and picked it up.
When Dante's finger touched it, he was surprised. He didn't feel anything as though he didn't touch it in the first place. The shiny orb disappeared into his finger as though his finger absorbed it. And surprisingly, there was an inexplicable warmth crawling inside his body. Then, it was followed by a notification.

Dante gawked in surprise.
[It seems the green orb represents agility stat.]
'Yeah, I think so.' Dante silently agreed with Raphael.
When he checked his status, he saw his Agility Stat increased by 5. From Agility: 2 (G) to Agility: 7 (G) after the +5 Agility was added.
He noticed that all his stats were still in rank (G). If he remembered correctly, aside from S-grade Revelation Eye, all his stats also appeared as rank (S) before they appeared as rank (G) the next moment at that time in the Appraisal Ceremony. Even though his S-grade ability already had become true, his stats remained ranked (G). Maybe it was a premonition that all his stats would reach rank (S) in the future.
'Mhm, that might be it,' he thought. 'Anyway. This is getting exciting!' His nonchalant face turned into a grin.
He looked around and saw the other orbs floating above the corpses. There were plenty of them and with different colors. When Dante was about to approach them to pick up those orbs, he felt a tug on his shoulder. When he looked behind, he discovered it was Miss Kendra who was poking his shoulder using her finger to get his attention.
"Where are you going? We're leaving," she said in a nonchalant voice.
"Uhm, can you give me a minute, Miss Kendra?" Dante asked with a pleading expression on his face.
"Why? Uh, are you going to pee?"
"Eh? Ah, no no." Dante gawked at the question of peeing and he quickly denied it with a slightly red face. "I have something I want to check. Promise it'll be faster."
Kendra stared at him for a couple of seconds before she agreed.
"Alright, just make it faster," after saying that, Miss Kendra entered the car. Lena was already inside as well.
Dante quickly reached out to the shiny orbs that were nearby. One after another, notifications came popping up.

He noticed the different values. It looks like these shiny orbs give random numbers of stats. He was very excited at the free stats scattered around. This was heaven. There was no need for him to work hard to increase his stats. All he needed to do was pick them.
When he was about to pick another shiny orb, "Dante-kun, we're leaving." He heard Lena's call.
After Lena asked him to call her by her given name, she also stopped calling him "Kimetsu-kun" but instead started calling him by his given name as well, and even sometimes she just called him by a shorter term of his given name, which is 'Dan' the same way Melody called him, but Lena's was with a 'kun'.

Lena and Miss Kendra were talking about the group they encountered yesterday. Seeing that none of them was paying attention to him, he decided to check his Status Screen.

Despite having S-grade and A-grade abilities, his overall rank only reached that much. Well, he couldn't argue with it because all his stats were rank G only. So, having an overall rank of C, was already fine for him. It was atleast higher than ranks G, F, and D.
Anyway, it seemed like there were a few things different between his old System and this new one, but they weren't very important and there was no need to worry. The percent next to his abilities, according to Raphael, represents «mastery». The more he used the skill, his mastery of that skill also grew.
That time in the Appraisal Ceremony, the manager also explained that the rank on their statuses would grow to a higher rank once the total number of their stats reaches above 100 as 100 is the threshold. For example his strength reached 100 (G), and when a point was added to it, it would then become 1 (F) since after G rank was F rank. Looking back on his stats, he could only grimace at how low they were.
That means he needed more points on his stats to raise their ranks.
He needed to find a way to gather more points. But looking at his current condition, he wasn't strong enough like Lena to defeat multiple opponents at once.

Dante sighed, and then he canceled the holographic screen.
Resting his back on the chair, he peeked outside through the window. He noticed they had just come out of urban areas. Now they were in the middle of the asphalt road surrounded by wheat fields from both sides. The scenery continued to change and they entered an urban area again. Broken buildings could be seen around with a few zombies walking on the side.
As time went by, they could finally see the canopy of container walls ahead of them.
It was the shelter.
The shelter was surrounded by massive steel containers put up together to serve as high walls.
