Chapter 2 Dinner with a stranger

'Hey' her colleague Laila said.

'Oh, hi' she answered.

Laila: ' I heard boss gave you a chance?

'Yah. But I'm so stressed because of it.' Tasha answered.

'Oh, come on, cheer up. You can do it. And good luck'. Said Laila.

'Thanks, Laila'. Tasha smiled.

Then she got busy with her work. After an entire day's work when Laila called her at 7PM, then she noticed its time to leave the work.

Tasha got up from her seat and left the office.

Then she walks towards streets aimlessly. Her apartment wasn't too much far, about half an hour from there. So she looks for a quiet restaurant. She is starving after aimless walking.

She's new here and knew no one. Also, because of her introverted personality, she talked little with her colleagues too often, especially males. So she's all alone.

After some searching, she found a decent restaurant and took a corner seat. She got confused when she took the menu. When she was in C country, she didn't eat outside much. Only eat fast foods sometimes.

Although she likes western and Asian foods but she doesn't know any food name or taste in restaurants.

(Note: Let me tell you our lead is an Asian.)

When she was busy while checking the menu and to think what to order, someone called her. She looks and saw a handsome guy stand by her side smiling politely. She looks confused.

That guy ask " mmm sorry but can I take a seat with you? Actually, there's no seat available right now. But if you don't mind, can I seat beside your empty seats?"

Then she checked entire room and saw all seats occupied.

She smile nervously and said 'sure'.

'Thank you. Hi, I'm Brian.' said that guy.

'Hi, I'm Tasha. Please have a seat." said Tasha and try to ignore this new person and buried herself to read the menu.

Suddenly Brian snatches the menu and says to her, "I think you confused about what to order. May I help you with your order?"

Then Tasha thinks for a few seconds and said 'Yah sure. Actually, I'm new here. So I know nothing about good foods and restaurants. But I'm not picky with food. You just order something delicious'.

Brian laugh and said, "I often come to this restaurant. So I can help you order delicious foods."

"Okay thanks Brian." said Tasha and smile.

Brian called a server and ordered some foods for them. And kept silence while watching Tasha curiously.

Tasha was so busy with her mobile. But after some time she notices this guy checking on her. So she turns her eyes from her mobile to directly looked at Brian.

Brian gives her a sweet smile and tries to create a conversation with her. But Tasha ignores him.

Then they both get busy with their mobiles.

After a few minutes, server serve their foods, then Brian explain them to Tasha and started their eating. They didn't talk during their dinner. After eating, Brian got an urgent call and left after saying goodbye to Tasha.

When Tasha goes to the counter to pay the bill, she learns Brian guy payed their full bill. She surprised but say nothing and left for her apartment.

It's a very tiring day for her.
